I recently had the opportunity to try out Visme, a software that promised to simplify my marketing efforts with its turnkey approach and compelling features in the Pro package. Initially, I was enticed by the great marketing and the impressive array of tools, such as the 'Brand Kit,' video and GIF creation, and a wide selection of templates for infographics, brochures, presentations, and more.

My enthusiasm from Visme marketing quickly turned into great disappointment after I purchased the non-refundable Pro package. To my surprise, it was essentially identical to the free version, with the all-important 'Brand Kit' section largely non-functional. Despite being advertised as a feature of the Pro package, it simply did not work as expected.
In an attempt to resolve the issue, I reached out to the support team. Their initial suggestion was to log out, clear my cache, and try using multiple browsers, including Chrome. Oddly enough, Chrome was already my preferred browser, so this advice seemed redundant.
When the issue persisted, I informed support that the branded templates were not being generated, even though they had already been created during the conversion to the Pro account. Their response was unexpected: I was informed that the templates could only be generated by running an automatic branding tool based on a website URL. We followed this process, but Visme only correctly identified our logo while getting the brand colors and fonts completely wrong. Despite this incorrect information, the branded templates still failed to populate.
Frustratingly, after spending two hours troubleshooting in Visme, it became apparent that the Pro account, for which we had prepaid for a year, simply did not work. Upon requesting a refund, we were met with a disappointing response: there were no refunds, regardless of the software's functionality or lack thereof.
Seeking guidance, we turned to the tutorials provided by Visme, hoping to find a solution. Unfortunately, we encountered the same issues again. The in-app tutorial even got stuck at a certain step and would not progress, even after following the recommended log out and reset instructions.
The following day, after yet another failed attempt at setting up the brand, we politely requested a refund for our pre-paid annual access. Once again, our request was denied. This experience left us genuinely concerned about Visme's misrepresentation of their system's capabilities and their lack of willingness to provide a reasonable refund when their software failed to work as advertised, despite our best efforts.
While Visme may have garnered positive reviews from other users, my own experience was far from pleasant. The lack of functionality, the unsatisfactory support, and the strict enforcement of a no-refund policy left a sour taste in my mouth. The HTML presentations you can author with no-code are excellent. They work well on many platforms and can be downloaded. For example the Sales Enablement Platform vablet was designed for HTML presentations and with visme, they can be generated locally and be shared across smartphones, tablets, windows computers and web-browsers.
The options to show the presentation, or slides with the visme viewer makes for a very intuitive end user experience.
This is just one of many features in the platform.

I recently used Visme to put together a whitepaper, and I have to say, I was really impressed. The platform is easy to use, and I found the templates perfect for structuring the content. It gave the document a polished and professional look without being too complicated. The customisation options were brilliant, letting me adjust everything to suit the style I wanted.

Additionally, we wanted to have a compelling, eye-catching survey on our website to attract prospects. Visme delivered. We've gotten numerous compliments on the survey form with the animated character!
Additionally, Visme leadership took time to learn how we were using the product and took our feedback to make product improvements. They are in tune with their customers, listen to feedback, and rapidly release new features/improvements.

There are a few feature limitations (e.g. lack of ability to format data entry fields on forms/surveys to currency instead of plain text, etc.), but the produce is easy to implement and use, easy to integrate our data, and creates stunning presentations & surveys. Visme is such a dynamic tool for users seeking to create engaging, interactive and beautiful designs. An incredible and diverse range of customizable templates and elements enable one to create precisely what they need, all with their own flare. Having the ability to directly insert and tailor infographics is a game-changer for data visualization, and simplifying the complex is fantastic. There are many interactive elements, like animation and clickable links. It's easy to incorporate these and multimedia content. I also love Visme's brand tool kit feature, allowing users to ensure brand consistency throughout their design. You can also download your final project in various formats (PDF, jpg, PDF) or publish it online, making it so easy to share.

Visme can sometimes be glitchy. Again, because I use it so frequently, I sometimes have it open and actively use the tool for consecutive hours throughout the day. When this happens, I've noticed the following glitches, among others:
-design elements I've added will not load on the page I'm viewing
-I'll have to refresh in order for the page to properly load, which slows work time and overall efficiency

I create educational content, and Visme has several features that are helpful to keep all content updated and in sync, as well as allowing for branding updates.
Specifically, Visme allows you to see where different image or video assets have been used across projects and to upload a new asset to replace all instances. It also allows you to create a brand identity where you can update fonts, logos and color schemes, which can be quite handy! When you choose to replace any font or color, you are asked whether you want to update all of that font or color to the new font or color - amazing!
For videos, the AI voiceover is as good quality as any other I've used, although it does not offer advanced editing (such as changing the pronunciation of a given word or tweaking the tone).
I LOVE that you can connect data visualization (graphs etc) to a spreadsheet so that it remains up-to-date as your data changes.
The new forms builder is useful and easy to use. The info gathered is easiest to review by downloading to a spreadsheet and looking at it there, but I think it is likely a more advanced data dashboard will be available in the future. I had no issue creating a survey and collecting responses - no hiccups for me or my users. That's a big win!
I also like that you can save elements together as "blocks" that you can then easily insert across designs - what a nice way to pull in common layouts and groups of assets without having to insert an entire saved slide or open an old project to copy and paste. I have struggled a bit to add multiple audio files within a video - for me, it is very helpful to have voiceover, sound effects and/or background music possible within the same video. I don't seem to be able to add multiple audio tracks in my videos, although perhaps there is a way to do this.
The cost is a bit high for me as a freelancer, but I respect that companies have to charge what they do in order to continue development on their tools. But perhaps a better monthly rate option could be offered?
It could be really useful if there were an option where the content blocks used across projects could be linked to the original, so that any changes to the block updates other uses. You could then choose whether you are using a linked block (that would update) or an unlinked block (that would just let you paste in the content/formatting/animations and change it as you like for a new use). The platform was easy to use right off - without training. It is intuitively easy making projects easier to complete. It also is loaded with templates and elements to use and it was easy to apply my own branding. I conducted my research. Was very excited and hopeful before even logging in. I can tell from the UI/UX it would be user-friendly. However, what I loved best was the personal messages from the Founder AND how incredible their customer service team is.
