The price was the selling point. If you have a large team made up of folks off-shore, this could be a good solution. The tech makes sense for that audience (to an extent)—just know that there will be bugs, issues, and their support is, unfortunately, the worst I've experienced. Key warning:
SAP Litmos deleted 500+ of our custom video, SCORM, and other assets as part of a "server cleanup" exercise in October 2021. There was no way to recover the files and our team had to recreate them, costing us well into the tens of thousands of dollars in man-hours and lost productivity. The handling of this issue was also unacceptable, they did not inform us of the true cause until weeks after it occurred, and led us to believe we'd be able to access the content again, which meant that we did not begin recreating content until weeks after the incident.
We were told there would be a process to request a refund due to this avoidable, unheard of, and unacceptable issue (the purpose of an LMS is to house content). We have still not received a refund/contract credit. Additionally, we had an outstanding invoice of $16k to pay Litmos, but they have been unable to provide justification for it (we don't know who initiated the request for the additional licenses billed on this invoice, and they can't show proof of that request). They are deducting this outstanding invoice from our refund—shouldn't the proof of agreement be on the them? We've performed hours of research on our side to try to track down any agreement or request for more licenses and cannot find the proof we ever initiated the request. At this point, it's not worth further investigation/legal action/legal cost, and we really just want to be done with Litmos. It's unfortunate that we'll be losing more money after losing 6+ months worth of customized content the team worked hard to build.
In addition to the above:
The tech is pretty out of date. There are numerous examples I could share, but here's one: When you add a cover image to a course, the image added has to be the exact pixel size required (450x253px) —if not the image will by default be distorted (aspect ratio will be off). This meant, if we wanted polished-looking cover images, we'd have to find the right image, then crop it to the specifications, then upload it. It may seem like a small issue, but this is one example, imagine every aspect of content creation and LMS administration needing "workarounds" like this—it was terrible. So many tools out there have tech that has matured way beyond this (even phone apps are much stronger)—it's unacceptable in my opinion.
Support is the worst I've experienced. Most times I reached out to our CSM, I was told to open a support ticket. Being mindful of process/structure, I was happy to do that. On several distinct instances, support tickets were randomly "merged" with other tickets and closed without follow-up or resolution. Halfway into our contract, they introduced a new "Support Launchpad" that would allow us to "streamline the way we requested support." The launchpad required completion of a tedious setup process, the first step of which was finding the one person at our company that Litmos had set up as super admin. The super admin in question ended up being an executive sponsor, who had not worked as part of the Enablement group in more than a year. When I shared with Litmos that he was no longer part of our division, they explained that as long as he was still with the company, the only path forward was to have him log in, create an account, then add me as a top administrator. Once I was set up, I'd have to do the same multi-step process for anyone we wanted to have open a ticket in the Support Launchpad. As a reminder, this is SO THAT A SUPPORT TICKET CAN BE OPENED. Our experience with Litmos as a healthcare organization has been overwhelmingly positive. The platform itself is robust and user-friendly, streamlining our training processes significantly. We especially appreciated the clean, intuitive UI interface, which makes navigation and course management a breeze at both the instructional design and manager levels. A standout aspect has been the exceptional support from our dedicated account manager, Corinne, who has consistently been responsive, quickly addressing any issues and proactively introducing new features that enhance our experience. This high level of support and ease of use has truly set Litmos apart. Even though we are leaving our contract for reasons outside of our control, Litmos has continued to offer offboarding services and support our teams with empathy and understanding. Litmos currently lacks a comprehensive library of medically specific and complex courses offering CEU credits, which are essential for our licensed clinicians. We also miss the capability to assign courses in advance, a feature that we understand is on the horizon. Finally, an integration or partnership with LinkedIn Learning would be a welcome addition to broaden the content options available on the platform. I am hearing that this partnership is happening with some other LMS organizations in the future. My favorite Litmos feature is the Content Author Tool (CAT). The CAT provides an intuitive way to create, edit, and publish courses all within the platform itself. This removes the need to build courses in another program and upload them to the platform. It is a timesaver for content developers and instructional designers! Due to our organization's internal system structure, one downside of Litmos was the rate limit on API calls. It slightly complicated the integration of Litmos with our internal systems. I love that is user friendly, especially from an admin side. I love being able to track things easily and add engagement, the gamification features are umatched! It was easy to implement to my team, we use it weekly, and it fits really well into our learning plans/training. Their customer support is always very helpful and patient. The Litmos Customer Portal has been a great resource, and the turn-around time is excellent. I'm always notified with changes, updates or an immediate response depending on the nature of the situation.

Our company has been with Litmos for many years, and I will have to say since I have been with our company for 6 years now, I have seen it transition for the better over the years. I am the Learning Hub coordinator and work closely with our clients to guide them with the best experience with their online training. The system is user friendly and the customer service is WONDERFUL! I love our CSM, Cyndi Sweeney who is always readily available to help assist with any issues we may have, and will find solutions to guide us. We currently have the Litmos LMS, platinum account and love all the features it offers. Litmos is an easy to use and to build platform to prepare, organize and track your colleagues training. It can communicate with a lot of other platforms and HCM, has a very good native reporting engine and gives you the possibility to set up reminders for every activity.
Interesting features are:
- you can set up database of questions, tests and content inside of it.
- if you need more fields to define your users or trainings, it lets you create them. Freely and easily.
- you need almost no coding background to implement and personalize it. You just need to initially set it up.
- even if a USER does use it every day to attend trainings, it is quite easy to rember of to use the platform.

- the not completely customizable user dashboard (you can't link multiple pages in it, nor you can change the tiles positions, etc.)

Litmos is an easy to use and easy to imlement LMS. We used Litmos to build our Academy.
We particularly like the fact that it can integrate easily with our HR system so we can ensure seamless onboarding for our new starters.
