CoAdvantage has helped my company to offer a one-stop place for all of my employee details and documents. In my account, I am able to access my YTD earnings with all relevant details, from gross pay amount, to tax breakdowns. These views can be detailed or summarized. Although my company doesn't offer it, CoAdvantage also links to healthcare benefits which is easily accessible through the portal. At our technology startup we wanted to offer great benefits to employees even when we were a very small company so we went with CoAdvantage. Given that they can aggregate all of their customers to negotiate decent prices we were able to get health care coverage and more at a much better price than if we negotiated directly with the insurance providers. So that was definitely a positive outcome for our employees.
However, their platform is pretty basic for a payroll and HR product. And they made some pretty big mistakes on some of our employee's taxes. For example for employees whose salary exceed the FICA limits they continued to withdraw and pay FICA taxes after their Year To date exceeded the withholding limit. When an employee moved states they updated the address but continued to withhold and pay taxes to the prior state, leading to discrepencies of thousands of dollars between the state jurisdictions. It was shocking that the overwithheld on FICA, and it took a long time going back and forth with their support for them to even acknowledge there was a FICA limit and that they made overpayments. And I've seen other payroll providers handle filing taxes with the wrong state much better than leaving it up to the employee to try and recover the taxes (which still hasn't been resolved 6 months later).
Both of these are pretty fundamental errors when it comes to payroll processing, so if you go with CoAdvantage your employees need to be diligent about monitoring their paychecks and hope they understand taxes. Reseña recopilada por y alojada en G2.com.
