- Soporte nativo de Solidworks, soporte para una variedad de diferentes tipos de archivos fuera de .sldprt y .sldasm

- Organización fácil de perfiles (Lib Feat Part) a través de la Biblioteca de Diseño, lo que permite perfiles consistentes en diferentes proyectos. - La transición entre el navegador web y la aplicación de escritorio puede ser un poco torpe a veces. Algunas funciones disponibles en el navegador web no siempre están disponibles en la versión de escritorio (eliminar archivos, forzar la salida de otros usuarios, etc...). Es fácil de solucionar una vez que entiendes el software y comprendes cómo funciona (curva de aprendizaje muy pequeña).

- Sería genial si las descripciones de las partes de la Biblioteca de Diseño pudieran estar en Solidworks. Averiguar la diferencia entre partes sin descripción generalmente nos hace ir y venir entre Bild y Solidworks, lo que a veces nos ralentiza.

- La gestión de BOM no está disponible con licencias de estudiantes en 2.44.0. Por lo demás, el software es completamente el mismo entre profesional y estudiante.

Bild hace que sea muy fácil realizar un seguimiento de los cambios en los archivos CAD, lo cual es especialmente útil para evitar - o poder revertir - errores que llevan a que se rompan los ensamblajes CAD. En nuestro caso, mantenemos un gran ensamblaje para nuestro cohete Fornax, que se beneficia enormemente del sistema Bild. Gracias a Bild, hemos podido corregir muchos de los fallos de coincidencia y referencia que se habían manifestado debido al sistema de gestión CAD anterior que utilizábamos. El sistema de check-in y check-out de Bild con respecto a archivos de ensamblaje grandes a veces puede ser confuso, ya que a veces puede omitir la extracción de ciertos archivos necesarios para guardar correctamente un ensamblaje extraído. Más específicamente, esto sucedió cuando el sistema automático de Bild no reconoció que un cierto subensamblaje de un archivo de ensamblaje grande necesitaba ser extraído junto con todas las otras partes/subensamblajes en ese archivo de ensamblaje, lo que significaba que no se podía guardar, ya que el archivo de subensamblaje en cuestión todavía estaba solo de lectura (registrado). Bild provides a variety of tools that have been extremely helpful to our team. For example, the 'Check-in/out' feature has been straightforward to use and has simplified issues that we had when it came to overriding others' work. Additionally, it was extremely easy to implement with our Computer Aided Design software, SOLIDWORKS. When it comes to the downsides of Bild, only one comes to mind, and although it is not an issue, I would greatly appreciate it if the web and desktop applications were made more consistent with one another. An example of this is that contrary to the downloaded application, the web version of Bild allows for the display of uploaded parts without having to download them. Had many issues with syncing Bild, files wouldn't be updated or wouldn't upload properly, and bugs occurred with the app making repeat folders of project files that need to be deleted to access files, should make it so that if files get deleted admins can recover them instead of waiting for support to do file recovery. I love how easy it is to set up on a computer and the cloud storage aspect of it. My team previously used Solidworks PDM before switching to Bild and the licensing setup and installation on personal computers was so easy. Also because all the storage is on the cloud with Bild, it removed the need for networking skills on our team to set up and maintain servers which is great because it's a hard skill for us to come by. Over all it's been a great experience using Bild and they provided us access to a great service in a time where we desperately needed a PDM, so I'm very greatful to them! Bild occasionally has some growing pains as it's a newer company, but issues and bugs have slowly been resolving over time. One of the biggest annoyances I have with Bild is sometimes it can be buggy to download or pull the latest version, and it also doesn't automatically move the revision forward when you are checking in a file which makes the version tracking less effective Reseña recopilada por y alojada en G2.com.

Bild is by far the best replacement for GrabCad that we have found. We are a team of mechanical and electrical engineers from across the country working on a complex design in Solidworks. We make use of several Solidworks Add-Ins to support the design of our electrical subsystem. Bild allows us to perform part checkin and checkout functions, and works well with a variety of file types that are needed to support these Solidworks Add-Ins. Ease of implementation from services like Grabcad Workbench. When Workbench shut down our team was at a loss as to what service to use. Thankfully Bild was there to restore most of the features, with a seamless transition. Our team was able to integrate into the software with little to no issue, which is great considering that most of the team is made up of people who have never used file revision software before. This is our primary method of revision tracking for our team and with our frequency of use, it has held up well. I appreciate the customer support working with us and our particular situation, to make our transition as easy as possible. The built-in 3D model viewer and annotation features have been a hit throughout our team. I would say that the UI on the desktop app could use a bit more polish. Our team does make use of part numbers but in the file name, I wish there was a way to better sort these files within the UI. Ideally, an automatic sync option would be awesome for our newer users who sometimes forget this aspect. Better integration with the file explorer and different CAD software would be a stretch goal of mine. The integration between local drive and Bild is often difficult. It is also difficult to "Pack and Go" an assembly like you would in Solidworks, the alternative being to download all the files in a directory (very space inneficient). I would love to see a feature where you can only download files for a specific assembly and easily delete these files locally after you have pushed your changes.
