It enables bidirectional synchronization, allowing you to keep multiple Jira instances or other systems up-to-date with consistent and relevant data. Exalate serves as a bridge between different Jira instances, regardless of whether they are hosted on-premise, in the cloud, or in Data Center. It also supports synchronization with other issue tracking platforms beyond Jira, making it a versatile solution for cross-platform collaboration. I have been using it for a bit and it is awesome!
