We use Salesforce, synced with Marketo, to do attribution and calculate ROI on our PFL Tactile Marketing Automation spend. In our case (B2B) we measure new pipeline created. It works so well we have numerous programs running at any one time. Do NOT use TMA just to send a mass direct mail. It is the orchestration and personalisation made possible by our Marketo combined with PFL that is the key to high ROI. And don't forget the basics of marketing: the message you deliver is as important as the channel.
