The main features of a performance management system should facilitate: - feedback, where feedback is designed to improve performance - coaching, to facilitate growth - delegation, to prepare someone for promotion To that end the features should include: - enabling one-to-ones to facilitate the above - the ability to give feedback and report on this - goal tracking - growth tracking - facilitating regular performance reviews

Reviews where you can solicit feedback in cycles or whenever you need. Lattice provides lots of features with how these reviews are presented including context from goals, peer feedback, etc. Lattice offers 1:1's as a service that sort of eliminates the need to meet in person unless they need/want. There is also the ability to send praise publicly or privately that can be associate with reviews or just shouted out to the company to help keep moral high.

Giving and requesting peer feedback, Plan 1:1s with managers, Create OKRs- Objectives that set the direction for the entire company, department, team, or individual, and are usually qualitative and aspirational. Creating growth areas which are the tactical part of your development plan that help you assign focus to the skills you’re working on so you can reach the next step in your career. Work with your manager to document and track growth areas on a regular basis.
