Mike Bryant is correct. Wordstream is not a replacement for managing your Google Ads. It makes it faster and easier to manage some aspects of Google ads. Those aspects of Google Ads management that it helps automate via the "20-minute Work Week" include adding negative keywords, optimizing search traffic, adding keywords, adjusting bids, optimizing ads and writing additional ads. If you have to neglect the rest of your Adwords management for a few weeks, using the 20-Minute Work Week feature every week will help keep some aspects of your campaigns somewhat current. It's a valuable tool for me in managing campaigns for one company with monthly Google Ads cost of $1500-$2000. It helps me keep my return per dollar of ad spend over $10 and sometimes up in the $20-$40 range. But even in the management aspects it addresses, it is not a replacement. Doing the 20-Minute Work Week every week serves as a reminder for me to do more, such as:
Go through the search terms report, especially on costlier campaigns and add more negative keywords. If you don't understand the importance of negative keywords, you are wasting money. I have several campaigns with over 1000 negative keywords.
Write more ads and better ads.
Check ads landing pages when I see low keyword quality scores.
Add or remove keywords to make campaigns more productive.
Reorganize ad groups and campaigns to match current sales potential of products and brands.
WordStream is not able to manage your Google Ads. It makes it easier and quicker to manage, but does not do the work for you. Many advertising agencies utilize wordstream on behalf of their clients. I have used it and it saved me time as opposed to using the Google Ads platform directly.
