If the table doesn't auto-adjust, then you might need to stretch a transparent pixel below it to keep the table from collapsing (old website/table trick). Or there might be a setting for the table to allow it to auto-adjust. Might be worth contacting support as well.
Do you have a more specific example of this? I think the fields should adjust accordingly based on content. You could always put your field on its own line, though.
