Best Software for 2025 is now live!

How do use patch management for multiple applications?

I would like to push Adobe Flash Player, Chrome and Firefox to the same users at the same time.

With JAMF Pro you can make distribution groups. JAMF has one being a static group and the other a smart group. Static group for any user or device per criteria. I use smart groups for any software that needs to be specific. For example if one version of Chrome doesn't work with a specific OS I can state it only going to those devices with specific OS not to cause any conflicts. Once you have your groups made then you make the Packages for each. Testing out of course first to make sure they work. Scope it to the group and it gets pushed out. JAMF has it so you can have specific triggers and Execution Frequency. It can Trigger upon set up, login logout, Network state Change, Enrollment completion, Recuriing Check in, and Custom. Execution: One per computer, Once per use per computer, once a day, once a week etc.

JAMF has policies you can make and send to Specific devices, Groups of devices or Users. JAMF lets you create Smart Groups or Static Groups. These groups can pinpoint only devices as detailed as in one building, that has a specific iOS installed, and in a specific Department. When you make packages you can send it to a test device to make sure it works. Once it does you can then send it out. JAMF has in place you can let the user decide when to do this or you can force it to be done. They also have great tech support to help you out. They also have resources online so you can read how to do this on your own.

Jamf patch requires two things one is patience, and the second is for every app you want to push; you are going to have to download, configure, and upload each app to JAMF admin. When you install, remember it's immediate, so start with a test group before pushing the software to everyone in your organization.
