If not already in place, when will there be a merger between AutoCAD and ESRI?

Within Autocad there are a lot more commands to quickly construct or build modeling and 2D infrastructure, will commands like Trim, Cut, Extrude, etc be introduced in future versions of ArcMap. Also Similar to AutoCAD having multiple Viewports of one 3D object in 4 seperate windows would be a nice feature to add unless it is already in place through 3rd party applications. Last wish list would be to make it easier to create and manage template/boiler plate maps for different projects or be able to save within one mxd different versions or representations/proposals of a map with the one set of layers and only in one MXD.

AutoCAD is a publicly held company where as ESRI is private so unless one buys the other it won't happen ...
