Ease of time entries for time-based billing. Practical layout with various tools to track fees, billing, hours, and client information. A one-stop program that sufficiently caters to all of a lawyer's needs. The ledgers make it very accessible to keep track of work completed, and users can make payments and write cheques with ease. Die Tatsache, dass es sich um eine Desktop-Anwendung handelt, die nur für Windows-Benutzer verfügbar ist. Es sollte eine Option für eine Cloud-Plattform und iOS-Benutzer geben. Aktualisierungen und die Kosten. Als sie auf eine jährliche Gebühr für die Nutzung ihrer Software umstellten, wurde es zu teuer und machte meine vorherige Version unbrauchbar. Very clunky. Laggy when the database is large. You can't leave it open overnight as it disconnects from the server with backup. Interface is slow. Very little is automated. The bills it generates are so obtuse that clients always call asking what do the bills even mean. I have to create summaries in MS Word. Correcting spelling errors in disbursement entries in a very slow process. If I put in the wrong hourly rate (ie, my hourly rate for a legal aid file or a discounted hourly rate file), I have to manually change each and every entry which is an extremely slow process. I can't make custom forms without getting admin privileges from the firm. It has been inordinately difficult to do such things as remove a "total tax" line from the template bill when the "total tax" line doesn't even set out all of the tax (it sets out GST only instead of combined GST and PST). Diese Software ist in Bezug auf die Benutzeroberfläche etwa 10 Jahre hinterher. Sehr wenig Kontrolle über Farben, Schriftgrößen, was auch immer. Sie wollen, dass man eine Menge Geld für den jährlichen technischen Support bezahlt. Heute, (3. April 2020) habe ich den technischen Support angerufen. Ich habe 20 Minuten gewartet, um mit jemandem in einem Offshore-Callcenter verbunden zu werden, nur um nicht mit ihnen sprechen zu können, da die Übertragung praktisch nicht vorhanden war ... also habe ich eine E-Mail mit meinem Problem geschickt, schön dargelegt. Ich muss die Software vom alten Computer auf den neuen Computer umstellen ... klingt einfach ... ist es NICHT!!!! Die E-Mail kam zurück ... sagte, ich solle die Support-Hotline anrufen (siehe oben). Es gibt einfach keinen Grund, dieses Produkt zu kaufen/verwenden. Jeder, der andere juristische Buchhaltungssoftware verwendet, scheint mit allen Aspekten seines neuen Produkts sehr zufrieden zu sein, nachdem er so lange Opas 72 Chevy Nova (PcLaw) benutzt hat. On hold times for tech support over 2-4 hours. Dealing with someone overseas, I was disconnected twice, they never called back then you are forced back in the que as many as 20 people ahead of me back in line for hours. Sales rep did not know that only certain versions of PCLaw users can upgrade base on the database being used. I never got upgraded to the full version. Even the feedback link crashed. Constant crashes. But the WORST aspect is that the user interface is as elegant as a slaughtered hog. The coding is amateurish (windows dont fit in their own spaces, buttons are displaced, it looks like it was designed by random homeless people. When you DO navigate to the right screen, you still cant access all you need ... nope. Go load a different screen to load a message. Want to look at "phone messages" DONT click on "phone messages", you can only (kindof) take a message.
