We've tried many marketing platforms dedicated to mobile apps, and Leanplum by far is the best we've had - it's straightforward and easy-to-use for marketers. Once the development phase is complete, the marketer has unlimited marketing oppurtunties - from single messaging campaigns to more complex chain/flow types of campaigns, including email, push, in-app messaging, and more.

Leanplum is great for mobile app engagement. Unlike other tools that are more Email- or Web-centric, Leanplum is just built for mobile. While they do have a solid email offering, it's meant to be a complementary channel in a mobile-first multi-channel portfolio with push, in-app messaging, app inbox, and the ability to manipulate the product experience. That last part comes in handy, especially when working on optimizing the onboarding experience or rolling out new features that require communication. It appears that Leanplum has recently specialized in mobile gaming, subscription apps, and on-demand apps. We are neither of those, but we still find the product to be excellent. Agile team, they really take customer feedback to heart. For example, they were super quick to add an SDK kit for Apple’s ATT. Their technical support is also top-notch — super responsive and helpful. The product has evolved over the years into a multi-channel engagement platform, but I really like the fact that they started as an A/B testing solution.
