Wir nutzten Heropa, um einen eintägigen Kurs über Flusseismodellierung auf einer Konferenz zu unterrichten. Es funktionierte perfekt! Wir luden die Computermodelle und die relevanten Modelldateien auf die virtuellen Maschinen und testeten alles im Voraus. Am Tag des Kurses konnten sich alle 35 Teilnehmer ohne Probleme in die VM einloggen, und alles funktionierte einwandfrei. Die VM war sehr reaktionsschnell, ohne spürbare Verzögerung, unter Verwendung des vom Konferenzhotel bereitgestellten WLANs.
