Price/value: The platform is expensive and overpriced, even for a $100m business.

Analytics and data: Very poor. Even basic data, like mapping affiliate commissions to orders, is disconnected. Specifically, payments were a complete nightmare. Every month, we paid thousands of dollars to affiliates and creators, but verifying order data was manual and required a lot of time and guesswork. The lack of visibility into performance led to significant delays and frustration in paying affiliates and creators.

Communication tools: Very poor and unusable. If you're communicating with more than a few affiliates/creators, you are better off relying on other third-party tools to facilitate. Many automated emails (like assigning voucher codes) contained errors in placeholders and spelling/grammar (no way to edit these yourself).

I like that Captiv8 is a platform that has enabled my team and I to build marketing campaigns with creators and manage the full process. We previously had to use a separate system for sourcing and payments and now we can use Captiv8 to get all parts of our campaign off of the ground. I think there could be a good way to give more information when a team is onboarded so that they have a reference guide when navigating things as we're getting ramped up to launch. Although they have these DEI filters, they're not always 100% accurate in terms of a creator's ethnic background or sexual orientation. The Captiv8 platform has unlocked more insight into the influencers we partner with across our organization -- from potential influencer collaborations to content creation to driving sales/consideration for the brands/category we carry. We now have the ability to understand exactly who we are reaching by partnering with these influencers. Their influencer database continues to grow at what I believe is a monthly basis and their search filters are incredible as sometimes we are looking for influencers who reach very niche audiences. Ultimately what I like best is that they help us avoid running into dead ends and save us time in finding influencers to work with for every specific campaign.
