The main thing I like about Mint is, that it is very user-friendly and customisable, most of the useful apps are preinstalled in the OS, and the Software Manager is also really good.

Xubuntu for its lightweight design, efficient performance, and customizable interface based on the XFCE desktop environment.
The user interface isn't that much friendly in my personal experience. But yes, coming from Ubuntu and other such tools we have already worked with minimal UI so Xubuntu isn't a deal breaker.
