Compare Google Authenticator and IBM App ID 
The best thing is it's super easy to use and get a new account added. It works perfectly fine, all the time, without fail. The most important thing is that I definitely trust Google, so, I don't worry about it being misused anytime ever!
It's kind of annoying to have to type in a code often and if my phone is not on me then I have to go get it. Or if I'm on the phone and trying to pull something up on my computer then it can be a hassel.
App ID among other IBM products help us build our blockchain-based peer2peer insurance solution. It helped us in a very efficient way.
