AI Generated Summary
AI-generated. Powered by real user reviews.
  • Users report that AWS Certificate Manager excels in automated certificate operations, with a score of 9.2, making it easier for teams to manage SSL/TLS certificates without manual intervention. In contrast, OpenSSL, while powerful, requires more manual setup and management, which can be cumbersome for users.
  • Reviewers mention that AWS Certificate Manager offers robust expiration monitoring features, scoring 8.1, which helps prevent service disruptions due to expired certificates. OpenSSL, however, lacks built-in expiration monitoring, leading users to implement their own solutions.
  • G2 users highlight the ease of use of AWS Certificate Manager, with a score of 8.8, as a significant advantage, especially for mid-market companies. OpenSSL, with a lower ease of use score of 7.8, is often seen as more complex, requiring a steeper learning curve for new users.
  • Users on G2 appreciate the strong domain validation capabilities of OpenSSL, scoring 8.5, which is crucial for ensuring the authenticity of the certificates. AWS Certificate Manager, while also effective, scores slightly lower at 8.2, indicating that OpenSSL may have a slight edge in this area.
  • Reviewers mention that AWS Certificate Manager's policy and role-based access controls, scoring 8.7, provide better security management for teams, allowing for more granular control over who can manage certificates. OpenSSL does not offer this level of built-in access control, which can lead to security risks in larger teams.
  • Users report that AWS Certificate Manager's issuance speed is impressive, scoring 9.2, allowing for quick deployment of certificates. OpenSSL, while reliable, has a lower issuance speed score of 8.3, which can delay the process of getting certificates into production.
