Integration with OAuth with Service Principal for authentication and easily managed role base policy to restrict certain user with limited access. versioning of secret helps to trace out changes made so for the secret, which is easy to integrate with any enhancements of application. **What do you dislike about Azure Key Vault?** caching mechanism of secrets needs to be improved. currently, it's stable but that can be improved in the future. I don't see any lack of features apart from this. **What problems is Azure Key Vault solving and how is that benefiting you?** earlier we have to generate our own encryption key and managing the encryption key per customer is a challenge. even rolling of keys or password per customer was a tedious task, with the help of Key vault and automation this was achieved with minimal downtime for all customers. single key vault per region helped us to store the sensitive information of all the customers in that region which is obviously more effort to managed customer base configuration for each version. ### 26. For starters , it is very easy to integrated with ADE / Azure Disk Encryption. I have used it in small clients as an encryption as a service tool , to get encrypted output from AKV to use in front end applications / to store passwords and so on. Also , I have used it in an enterprise project to create a secret wrapper SaaS tool for API tokens , using envelope encryption , where the API key/token was encrypted using a AKV data key , which itself was encrypted using AKV master key . We have also leveraged it at length for business facing use-cases , where a managed identity was provided access to specific keys/secrets stored in the AKV. AKV is a key tool to keep in your pocket for any type of secret management use-cases . It can seamlessly integrate with a wide range of Azure services , so in case you are an Azure shop , then AKV is the one stop toolkit for all your enterprise secret handling needs.
