## Zoho Books Reviews
  ### 1. Zoho Books Makes Accounting Simple with a Clean Dashboard and Smart Automation

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andries B. | Business Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 09, 2026

**What do you like best about Zoho Books?**

What I love most about Zoho Books is its incredibly user-friendly design, which makes managing complex accounting tasks surprisingly straightforward. The clean dashboard provides immediate, at-a-glance insights into my financial health without feeling cluttered. I love how quickly I can convert estimates to invoices with just a few clicks. The automated bank feeds and smart matching rules drastically reduce manual data entry, saving hours weekly. Furthermore, its mobile app is top-notch, allowing me to track expenses and send invoices on the go. It bridges the gap between powerful functionality and extreme simplicity perfectly.

**What do you dislike about Zoho Books?**

Zoho Books, while powerful, has several ease-of-use issues that create a frustrating user experience. The initial setup requires a steep learning curve, making it difficult for beginners to navigate complex financial settings. Many users find the reporting features rigid, with limited customization options, preventing necessary flexibility in report generation. Bank reconciliation is often unreliable, causing tedious manual troubleshooting. Support responsiveness is frequently reported as slow and inconsistent, leaving users to resolve issues on their own. Additionally, navigating between different modules can feel fragmented, and the system can feel slow, hampering efficiency when handling high-volume entries or data imports.

**What problems is Zoho Books solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Keeping my books in order with Zoho Books has been a game-changer for my business efficiency. This cloud-based platform automates routine tasks, allowing me to create professional invoices, track expenses, and manage inventory seamlessly. Its user-friendly interface makes bank reconciliation straightforward, matching transactions automatically to keep financial records accurate and up-to-date. I can easily categorize spending and upload receipts using the mobile app, which eliminates paperwork clutter. Additionally, Zoho Books provides instant, insightful financial reports—such as profit and loss statements—helping me make data-driven decisions. It’s a secure, comprehensive solution that keeps me organized, compliant, and tax-ready all year.

  ### 2. All-in-One Finance Management with a Clean, Intuitive Dashboard

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Pramoda H. | Full Stack Developer, Program Development, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 08, 2026

**What do you like best about Zoho Books?**

As a Full Stack Developer who also manages business finances, what I like best about Zoho Books is how it brings invoicing, expense tracking, cash flow monitoring, and financial reporting into a single platform. It helps me keep track of project payments, manage recurring expenses, and maintain organized financial records without switching between multiple tools.

I also find the user interface very clean, intuitive, and visually appealing. The dashboard presents important financial information in an easy-to-understand format, making it simple to review cash flow, outstanding invoices, and business performance at a glance. Navigation is straightforward, and the overall design makes daily financial management more efficient.

The automation features, such as recurring invoices and payment reminders, save time and reduce manual work. Additionally, having all my financial and tax-related records in one place helps me stay organized and plan future business investments with greater confidence.

**What do you dislike about Zoho Books?**

While Zoho Books is very useful for managing my business finances as a Full Stack Developer, there are a few areas that could be improved.

Some of the advanced features feel a bit complex at first, especially for users who are not familiar with accounting concepts. It can take time to fully understand and configure things like tax settings, advanced reporting, or automation workflows.

Also, certain customization options for invoices and workflows are somewhat limited unless you spend time setting them up properly. For more complex business needs, it may require additional learning or adjustments.

Overall, these are not major issues, but a slightly more simplified onboarding experience for advanced features would make the platform even better.

**What problems is Zoho Books solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Zoho Books is solving several key financial management challenges in my daily workflow as a Full Stack Developer running a small business.

One major problem it solves is keeping all financial activities—such as invoices, expenses, and payments—organized in one place. Previously, tracking multiple client payments and project-related expenses manually was time-consuming and sometimes confusing. Now, everything is centralized, which reduces errors and improves financial clarity.

It also solves the problem of cash flow uncertainty. With real-time cash flow tracking, I can clearly see incoming and outgoing money, which helps me plan future investments, manage operational costs, and avoid overspending.

Another important benefit is automation. Features like recurring invoices, payment reminders, and expense tracking reduce manual work and ensure that financial tasks are not missed or delayed.

Overall, Zoho Books helps me stay organized, maintain better financial control, and make more informed business decisions, especially when planning long-term growth and tax-related responsibilities.

  ### 3. Zoho Books Makes Invoicing and Payment Tracking Simple and Time Saving

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Muzammil M. | Founder – Muzammil Graphic | Interior and Graphic Designer | Transforming Spaces and Brands Visually , Graphic Design, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 18, 2026

**What do you like best about Zoho Books?**

Zoho Books has been helpful for managing invoices, expenses, and basic accounting tasks in a more organized way. I started using it a few months ago, and the feature I use the most is invoice and payment tracking because it makes it easier to keep records updated without much manual work. The interface is simple to understand, and it saves time when handling regular financial tasks.

**What do you dislike about Zoho Books?**

One thing that could be improved in Zoho Books is that some advanced accounting and reporting features take time to fully understand for new users. A few settings and customization options can also feel slightly confusing in the beginning compared to some other accounting tools. While the platform works smoothly for daily tasks, improving the learning experience for first-time users would make it even better.

**What problems is Zoho Books solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Zoho Books helps me manage daily accounting tasks in a more organized and time-saving way. Before using it, tracking invoices, expenses, and payment records manually was difficult and sometimes led to missed updates or confusion in records. After starting to use Zoho Books a few months ago, it became much easier to keep financial data in one place and monitor transactions properly. The biggest benefit for me has been invoice and payment tracking, because it helps maintain clear records and reduces manual work. It also makes it easier to check pending payments, manage expenses, and keep business-related financial information updated regularly. This has improved accuracy and saved time in handling routine accounting tasks.

  ### 4. Zoho Books: Clean UI, Reliable Performance, and Great Value for Growing Businesses

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Samar S. | Operations Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Zoho Books?**

What I like most about Zoho Books is how well it balances the key qualities of a solid accounting tool. The UI/UX is clean and easy to navigate, so tasks like invoicing and tracking expenses feel straightforward even if you don’t have deep accounting knowledge. Performance-wise, it’s dependable for day-to-day operations and doesn’t come across as slow or buggy.

Integrations are another strong point, especially with other Zoho apps, which makes it easier to manage different parts of a business in a more seamless way. From a pricing/ROI standpoint, it delivers good value—particularly for small and growing businesses—without feeling overpriced. Support and onboarding also feel smooth, with enough resources available to help you get started quickly.

On the AI/intelligence side, it isn’t very advanced yet, but the automation features that are there still help reduce manual effort and improve efficiency for routine tasks.

**What do you dislike about Zoho Books?**

What I dislike about Zoho Books is that, although the UI/UX is generally clean, some advanced features feel a bit buried or take extra steps to reach, which slows things down slightly. Performance is mostly reliable, but I do notice occasional lag or delays when working with larger datasets or running multiple reports. Integrations are strong within the Zoho ecosystem; however, outside of it they can feel somewhat limited compared with bigger competitors. From a pricing/ROI perspective, it’s a good fit for small businesses, but as needs grow, certain features may require upgrades, and those costs can add up. Support and onboarding are decent overall, though getting more complex issues resolved can sometimes take a while. As for AI/intelligence, it still feels fairly basic, with limited smart insights or automation compared to more advanced accounting platforms.

**What problems is Zoho Books solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Zoho Books mainly solves the challenge of managing business finances in a simple, organized way. From a UI/UX standpoint, it makes everyday tasks like invoicing, expense tracking, and GST compliance much easier to manage without needing deep accounting expertise. Performance-wise, it streamlines day-to-day operations, which saves time and helps reduce manual errors.

Its integrations also bring different parts of the business—such as sales, payments, and reporting—into one place, improving overall efficiency. From a pricing/ROI perspective, it can reduce the need to hire dedicated accounting support in the early stages, which makes it cost-effective. Support and onboarding are helpful as well, making it easier to get started quickly without a lot of confusion.

On the AI/intelligence side, while it’s still fairly basic, the automation around recurring invoices, reminders, and categorization cuts down on repetitive work and helps keep things running more smoothly.

  ### 5. Streamlined Accounting with Multi-Currency Ease

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alok M. | Account Executive, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 12, 2023

**What do you like best about Zoho Books?**

I like Zoho Books' user-friendly interface with its dashboard and the ease of understanding reports, making everything from creating an invoice to issuing a purchase bill very easy. I also like that it facilitates a multi-currency system, allowing us to issue invoices in currencies like USD, GBP, and INR. The initial setup was quite easy and self-explanatory, and we received customer support from the Zoho team, which helped us set up the whole process. I switched to Zoho because it facilitates our accounting and bookkeeping work and can be accessed through web login with just login credentials.

**What do you dislike about Zoho Books?**

Not as such but yes every product must need to update it self so I think Zoho Books can work on its bank feeds because sometimes bank feeds stop automatic and we need to redo steps to start again.

**What problems is Zoho Books solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Zoho Books for daily accounting, creating invoices, updating payments, generating reports, and GST and TDS work. It's user-friendly with multi-currency support, handling invoices in USD, GBP, or INR.

  ### 6. Phenomenal Performance and Design, with Fast Onboarding and Helpful AI Insights

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jayash K. | Director, Computer Software, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 19, 2026

**What do you like best about Zoho Books?**

I love Zoho Books’ design because it makes it easier for us to find the options quickly. In the Indian edition, it also lets us integrate seven bank accounts, and the performance is absolutely phenomenal. It even has a free plan. The Zoho Books support team helped us get onboarded very quickly and in a very efficient way. Recently, they also launched AI options inside Zoho Books, which helps me understand my sales matrix much more easily.

**What do you dislike about Zoho Books?**

Although everything is absolutely phenomenal, I’d really appreciate it if they could offer an option to integrate the US data center with the Indian data center.

**What problems is Zoho Books solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We can reconcile our transactions and we can also file our monthly GST in a single click without having to rely on any CA

  ### 7. Enhanced Financial Management with Powerful Automation

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** HARSHIL S. | Experienced Audit Associate, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 10, 2026

**What do you like best about Zoho Books?**

I like Zoho Books for its user-friendly interface and automation features, which make accounting processes simple and efficient. The software shines in areas like invoicing, bank reconciliation, GST filing, and expense tracking. I also appreciate the real-time reporting and dashboard features that assist in quick financial analysis and decision-making. The cloud-based system ensures easy access to financial data securely from anywhere. Additionally, Zoho Books provides strong GST compliance, real-time reporting, and easier collaboration, all while being reliable, user-friendly, and cost-effective.

**What do you dislike about Zoho Books?**

One area where Zoho Books could improve is customization in certain reports and workflows as some advanced accounting requirements need manual adjustments. Sometimes the banking integration and synchronization may take time or require rechecking transactions. Regarding report customization, Zoho Books can improve flexibility in generating highly customized MIS and management reports. Sometimes advanced filtering, ledger grouping, and customized financial formats require manual exports to Excel for further adjustments. Sometimes bank feeds are delayed or transactions do not sync accurately, which creates additional manual reconciliation work. Improving real-time synchronization, transaction matching accuracy, and support for Indian banking integrations would make the process more efficient.

**What problems is Zoho Books solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Zoho Books for managing accounting and financial operations, solving challenges like manual bookkeeping and GST compliance. It automates tasks, saves time, reduces errors, and provides secure, real-time financial reports for better decision-making and improved operational efficiency.

  ### 8. Excellent GST Compliance, Cost-Effective Alternative

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** PRANSHU R. | Associate Software Developer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 03, 2026

**What do you like best about Zoho Books?**

I use Zoho Books for accounting, mainly invoicing and GST management. It has great GST compliance in India and is cheaper compared to other tools. The automatic calculation of GST and the assistance during GST filing save me a lot of valuable time and reduce mistakes. Additionally, Zoho Books integrates well with other Zoho apps and was easier for us to work with our CA, who also uses Zoho Books.

**What do you dislike about Zoho Books?**

There are still a few issues with GSTIN and that could be improved and sometimes I need to upload on the GST portal myself. Also, it doesn't work sometimes with complex GST scenarios. There is a learning curve for people who aren't accountants or CAs but it was still quite easy.

**What problems is Zoho Books solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Zoho Books provides great GST compliance in India, is cheaper than competitors, works well with other Zoho apps, and calculates GST automatically, saving time and reducing filing mistakes.

  ### 9. Effective GST Automation, Needs Open Line Item Feature

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ahmed P. | Assistant Finance Manager, Medical Devices, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 30, 2026

**What do you like best about Zoho Books?**

I find Zoho Books very clear and helpful, especially for Indian companies since it's from India. It's great for filing GST with automation, which helps us track our GST details against the portal monthly. I think Zoho Books plays a better role in GST management. The features like Zoho payroll, Zoho expense, and Zoho contracts are also valuable.

**What do you dislike about Zoho Books?**

Zoho Books doesn't have open line items. This is the main feedback to Zoho because we've worked in SAP, and in SAP, there are open line items. We need to carefully take a note and work on open letter items, but in Zoho Books, we don't have any feature for the open line items. We have to keep a report for all advances that are open manually. Also, the setup was good, but we missed a lot of documents when moving from another system. The code couldn't be extracted in Zoho's format.

**What problems is Zoho Books solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Zoho Books helps us pass accounting entries and record financial details. It's very clear and useful for Indian companies, helping with GST automation and offering features like payroll and expenses.

  ### 10. Effortless Invoicing with Room for Improvement

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Meriah J. | Creative Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Zoho Books?**

I find Zoho Books has a very easy user interface, making it simple to write invoices and estimates. I appreciate being able to keep track of outstanding invoices and sending automatic payment reminders, as well as the option to create recurring invoices. It allows me to spend more time on my business rather than handling financials. I also liked how easy it was to switch from Wave Apps by downloading and importing our various lists into Zoho Books.

**What do you dislike about Zoho Books?**

I wanted to sync my bank statement, but that didn't work very well, and the financial reports for the accountant were not easily customized. I had to download a template to be able to customize my bank statement to Zoho Books' template and that was a bit out of my league.

**What problems is Zoho Books solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Zoho Books for bookkeeping, invoicing, and tracking expenses. It has an easy user interface, allows me to keep track of outstanding invoices, sends automatic payment reminders, and lets me create recurring invoices. It helps me focus more on my business than on financials.
