No support. They'll just take your money and close your account, and then not reply. You'll lose your number as well

**What do you like best about Yodel.io?**

We have used many phone solutions over the years with our most recent being Ring Central prior to Yodel. We cannot say enough about our positive experiences with Yodel over the last several years we have been using them. They continue to innovate and are very responsive to customer needs for specialized functionality. I enjoy speaking to real people who genuinely care about their business i.e. it isn't just some job where they are checking the boxes on support. 

We mostly use them through Slack but some departments and people use their windows app and phone app. All of their customer-facing solutions are well designed and thought out for a great end-user experience.

**What do you dislike about Yodel.io?**

I don't have anything negative to say. As a small business owner, I could always say I wish the prices could come down but Yodel's prices are not high by any means and this isn't to say we are unhappy with the prices we have. I guess we do want end-users that are being routed to other numbers in our environment to hear and receive the unique welcome, voicemail, and other settings placed there. I believe they said they would make this a possibility very soon though so just a matter of time.

**What problems is Yodel.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Yodel for incoming and outgoing phones and SMS for our 5 locations for I believe 3 or 4 years now. We use just about all of their features i.e. speech-driven routing of phone calls, dialog flow to programmatically answer the easy questions for callers instead of making them wait to speak to someone or call us back during business hours, their Slack integration for answering and making most calls, inbound/outbound SMS including bulk options through Integromat connection, and enjoy their ability to easily set common-sense configuration options for each line as well as our company as a whole.

With Yodel we have lowered our prices, increased our flexibility, improved transparency on all communication, improved our analytics by using their webhooks to send data to multiple places, and vastly improved time to set-up, configure, and train people on this system while also having much higher staff satisfaction with what Yodel can do i.e. eliminates a chunk of calls from even ringing with Dialog flow, gets our callers to the right person without a clunky by number phone tree, and enables seamless warm handoffs with their unique URLs for each call.

**What do you like best about Yodel.io?**

I got a lifetime subscription on Appsumo for about $50.

**What do you dislike about Yodel.io?**

It never works. Our incoming calls keep getting dropped, so we don't receive any calls from customers, and they get no message. So it looks to our customers like the number doesn't work and maybe we've gone out of business. This has happened on 2 seperate occassions that we know of, and each time the call logs show that its actually been going on for weeks at a time.

Additionally, we can't make outbound calls from our account either.

Both times that we've reported this, we've been told that its our fault because we should check the line is working on a regular basis. We're also never been offered any sort of apology. Similarly the problem is always played down as being some small thing, that wasn't all that bad. For example after the lines went down for the 2nd time, we were told that it was a problem with how the call forwarding was setup on our account. Call forwarding is literally activated by opening the "call forwarding" tab, there is nothing that we could do wrong. Yes we have the correct number. Also, why would call forwarding affect our ability to make outbound calls? The two aren'T related, but this fact was ignored by Yodel.

I had high hopes for this service/product but the service we've received has potentially cost us thousands in lost business. However, I realise this is just tough luck. But, hey an acknowledgement that something went wrong at Yodel.io 's end would be nice.

Consider whether reliability of service provision / availability is important to you.

**What problems is Yodel.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

None of the ones I thought it would fix. Instead we just constantly have problems.

We apologize that you had this experience with Yodel. We always work closely together with our customers to solve any problems they have.

But we need to clarify a few mentioned points of this review:

As said, we work together with our customers if they have any problems, but of course we are also dependent on the assistance of our customers.

If a customer is not doing any outbound calls, our system can not detect if the number routing has a problem. Only if we are aware of a number routing problem we can work with the involved carriers to fix this.
In this case, the number was not activated by our carrier for dial out – which happens during a call forward. Thus we did not receive the relevant information to know about the dial out problem after the number was ported (and therefore were not able to resolve this right away).

But still, we are sorry for this experience. You can contact us via our live chat if you are interested to resolve this.

The setup was a little bit more complicated than expected.

**What do you like best about Yodel.io?**

The best thing about Yodel is the easiness with which we could set it up and start using it. Also, the integration with Slack is a great feature that we use internally.

**What do you dislike about Yodel.io?**

We did not encounter big inconveniences along the way. We have been using the product for more than a year now and the support has been very rapid to respond when we needed.

We mainly use it for our support infrastructure. It has helped us greatly, especially with the Slack integration.

Yodel is a truly easy platform to deploy, we were able to get it up and running in no time. It is also feature-packed with easy to navigate UI, and great set of integration options.

**What do you dislike about Yodel.io?**

To be honest, there's not much to say about it. Maybe they could offer online support chat for paying customers like us.

**What problems is Yodel.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Yodel to enable VoIP telephony for our internet business. We've integrated Yodel with our Slack, and now we can receive calls from our website visitors directly to the Slack channel which makes us more productive and efficient.

**What do you like best about Yodel.io?**

Needing MFA codes often due to high security in the financial industry, we turned to Yodel 4 years ago for one place for all our employees to receive codes.   We integrated this to slack and made the whole process more accessible, secure, and controlled by the firm and not individual devices.   

We then added additional yodel phones# s for marketing, sales, and support.   All going to their own slack channels.

Some shortcodes do not get through Yodel

**What problems is Yodel.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are remoting and have been for years.  Waiting for someone to supply us with codes to access financial applications in the cloud was causing delays.  This one little app solved that problem overnight.   Now our clients add one phone number to their apps, and we can request SMS codes quickly from any location or timezone without bothering anyone to forward them and potentially have the code time out or bothering a client. Our work just moves along smoothly.

**What do you like best about Yodel.io?**

The pricing structure and integration into Slack make Yodel an excellent option for our business. Having all of our calls recorded and listed in Slack makes searching through them a breeze, and if we added more integrations to Yodel we could even have it port directly into Airtable. This has made call and issue tracking an absolute breeze since we started with it. However, the absolute best part regarding the app is the customer service, which is quality in a way that I rarely see nowadays. Every single issue or problem I've had is answered immediately, and I always feel as if there is time to discuss any issue or suggestion for features I may have.

**What do you dislike about Yodel.io?**

So far, I have not found many things to dislike, though I wish there were more integrations with other apps we use, such as Helpscout, Shopify, and the like. I know that there are plans for more integrations in the future and I hope that the ones I mentioned make the cut!

**What problems is Yodel.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our company did not have a proper way to track all of our calls that wasn't manually entering all of the information in a spreadsheet, so this has saved a lot of time. Moreover, it is extremely affordable. Once we move away from our present phone system and fully integrate with Yodel, we will be saving roughly $400 a year in associated costs for more functionality.
