I like the Credit card import API - AMEX. I like all the reporting capabilities. I especially love that Unanet has suggestions and is always implementing new things and improving. **What do you dislike about Unanet GovCon?** I don't like how some features are so different from similar features. An example of this is that AR invoices can be unposted but not AP invoices. I would love more dashboard reports. I wish they would integrate more things without it costing so much for us cause Unanet gets a lot qtrly from us and everyone already. I wish utilization was easier and I don't like that it's called budget on the reports. **What problems is Unanet GovCon solving and how is that benefiting you?** Helps solve MLE, 1099 management with SubK portal, project management and reporting. ### 2. I believe Unanet is worth the price, it provides excellent functionality and service, **What do you dislike about Unanet GovCon?** Not many issues overall. We’ve been long-time users, and my peers and I are rarely critical of any of the functions. Occasionally, rounding can cause conflicts with other applications we use, but it’s easy to work around and has never been a show-stopper. **What problems is Unanet GovCon solving and how is that benefiting you?** Budgeting is very useful for forecasting and for creating proposals. ### 3. Support is also a HUGE plus—very responsive and very helpful. Sometimes we run into complex issues, and they’ll do whatever it takes to get them resolved or find a workaround. I’m often in the suggestion portal because I know Unanet is listening and reading those suggestions, and I’ve already seen many of my suggestions get shipped. **What do you dislike about Unanet GovCon?** Reporting feels limited. There are reports I need to build that I believe should already be available as standard reports. Also, there isn’t an option to handle CLINS/SLINS/ACRNS. Since this is govcon software, that’s a capability that really needs to be included. I understand it’s in the works, but it should have been shipped years ago. Each month we have a long manual process to go through in order to have our deliverables how our customer needs them. **What problems is Unanet GovCon solving and how is that benefiting you?** I know they’re working on improving timesheets, including the ability to enter 0 hours on days an employee isn’t working so they don’t receive the timesheet email. I also know they’re working on making it possible to export all reports to CSV/Excel. Once everything is exportable, it will save a lot of time, especially when I need to review multiple reports. ### 4. As a system administrator with minimal software backend experience, I found the setup and implementation of the software to be easy. My user experience has been positive, and I can quickly provide the data needed to my leadership team. I can assist my employees with their questions related to timesheets with minimal research. **What do you dislike about Unanet GovCon?** One of my complaints about Unanet GovCon is that all the reports can not be easily exported into excel. I want the ability to do this with all reports. Another issue I have is the inability to drill down from financial reports. I would like to be able to see the detail of an account balance without having to run a separate general ledger detail report. **What problems is Unanet GovCon solving and how is that benefiting you?** Unanet allows my company to have time and expense management, invoicing, and financials within one system. They respond quickly and really care about your issues. **What do you dislike about Unanet GovCon?** The system needs better functionality in relation to diluted salary rates. It works great for actuals but needs more work for planning and budgeting. **What problems is Unanet GovCon solving and how is that benefiting you?** Unanet is always releasing new updates. Recently they released Champ AI which is very exciting and would help us get data to leadership more effectively. There are also available integrations, but unfortunately they are at a cost. ### 6. The ability to adjust field attributes rapidly and then instantly recalculate stands out for me, as it was an incredibly painful evolution with our previous primary tools. I feel Unanet's flexibility and automation are light years better than the Excel system we used before. The initial setup was relatively easy, and I find that my familiarity and comfort levels with Unanet are growing daily. **What do you dislike about Unanet GovCon?** There are no features I dislike. There are only features I don't know about, haven't use, or are not proficient with. **What problems is Unanet GovCon solving and how is that benefiting you?** Unanet GovCon automates planning and forecasting, saving us a ton of time and enabling scenario iterations. The system has all the travel locations per diem and local lodging rates integrated, and I am alerted if travel expenses exceed the per diem, which helps me manage my travel budgets effectively. Setting up expense requests within the software assists greatly with travel planning, making the process more efficient. The program management reports and tools are also good. **What do you dislike about Unanet GovCon?** The accounting team is probably the most frustrated with our switch to Unanet GovCon. There are UI annoyances, like having to take hand away from the keyboard often to 'click' instead of using tab. Some critical functionalities are lacking or not well-executed: ACRN billing is non-existent, semi-automatic bank reconciliation would be nice - all manual today, ACH file generation is painful, and several tasks require external spreadsheets like leave balance liability, fixed assets and depreciation, and EBITDA. The connector from ERP to ADP does not work well, if at all, and we're close to canceling it. The initial setup / migration was incredibly difficult, time consuming, and expensive. **What problems is Unanet GovCon solving and how is that benefiting you?** Unanet GovCon helps us record employee time against projects and assists with financial audits, providing crucial program management reports and tools through its Datalake feature. ### 9. This setup not only ensures that invoices are more accurate but also makes the process more efficient. **What do you dislike about Unanet GovCon?** In the past year or so, there seem to be far more bugs in new releases and certain aspects of the system. There seems to be this early push of putting things out that have not been properly vetted prior to involving customers' time with beta testing. Also, there are many reports on the reports dashboard that are still not exportable to either .csv or Excel, which is a problem. **What problems is Unanet GovCon solving and how is that benefiting you?** We use Unanet for project setup and resouce allocation, timekeeping, expense reporting, customer invoicing and payments, vendor invoicing and payments, bank reconciliations, etc. All which helps streamline our accounting functions for greater accuracy and efficiency. ### 10. It allows me to forecast easily, provide backlogs instantly and keep track of all our projects. I value the Project Management feature, particularly the ability to plan hours and to edit hours on a grid. The initial setup was pretty easy when we transitioned from QuickBooks. **What do you dislike about Unanet GovCon?** I think bank reconciliation could be improved by showing both the debits and credits on the same page, similar to how QuickBooks does reconciliations. The Analytics Studio is another area where I see the potential, but honestly, it's too difficult. **What problems is Unanet GovCon solving and how is that benefiting you?** I can forecast easily, provide backlogs instantly, and keep track of all our projects.
