**What do you like best about Tubular?**

We rely on Tubular for social media strategy. The platform has continuously improved over the past 7 years I have used it. It's hands down the most comprehensive Video Analytics tool on the market. 

- Monitoring Platform competitors. 
- Keeping up with Social Media Platform Trends
- Informing strategic decisions (audience, content and commercial)
- Sourcing creators for Collaborations
- Understanding our audiences

++ Love the Audience Also Watches report. It's added allot of value to a number of strategic areas. 
++ Big fan of the new AI tagging taxonomy that has improved the categorisation of topics, making the platform much more accurate adding another layer of granularity.
++ Support is Excellent. Galina, our account manager, has been an exceptional support, ensuring we get the most from the platform. Listening to our challenges and feedback and coming up with creative solutions. The product team are always willing to take on feedback and work collaberatively with their clients.

**What do you dislike about Tubular?**

Analytics are limited to Video only. As a publisher of other formats we have to look elsewhere for full social coverage. However, I understand the broader coverage would likely come at a cost and video is the main focus for platforms. 

Most limitations we have faced are down to social platform API limitations rather than Tubular it's self.  

Alerts would be handy for significant content, creators and platform changes, allowing us to be more proactive.

Tubular is a one-stop shop for all of our video analytics needs.

**What do you like best about Tubular?**

Using Tubular has gotten us through challenging partner requests. We've used different Tubular features to answer different questions. It takes some time to build a view that will make pulling insights easier, but once it's done, it's definitely worth the effort. That's another great thing about Tubular, you can create different custom builds to pull the data in whatever way suits your needs!

**What do you dislike about Tubular?**

For someone who is just getting into the Insights space, Tubular might be initially overwhelming. But dedicate enough time to learning the platform, and the process becomes much easier.

**What problems is Tubular solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sometimes we will get random requests to pull competitor analysis or to gain audience insights, Tubular has helped make this process much less manual. It really has saved us time.

Data and insight gathering for our clients and the people we work with in Tubular are great. Easy conversations and coordination for monthly reports.

Nothing really, I do not personally use the dashboard.  I mostly coordinate reports sent to clients.

**What problems is Tubular solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Gives us additional information about the brands we service, via data gathering and analysis of their materials aganst competitors - on YT and FB.  Clients appreciate the insight.  Helps them plan out campaigns better and more efficiently.

User-Friendly Interface: Tubular has a very intuitive and easy-to-navigate interface. It has helped me effortlessly access the features I need, which has significantly improved my experience.

Excellent Performance: I'm impressed with Tubular's performance. The smooth playback, fast loading times, and reliable streaming services have all contributed to its high score. It's apparent that a lot of effort has gone into optimising these areas.

1) Coverage: Tubular has every single YouTube channel above 10,000 subscribers and millions of IG, TT, FB, Twitter accounts plus daily view trends for billions of videos
2) Unique metrics can't get from platforms: demographic data for all channels, channels and videos the audience also watches, topics, categories, property roll ups
3) Additional insights like what each creator's audience buys on amazon
4) Endorsed by YouTube and Meta

Oddly they haven't rolled up their video-level categories and topics at the creator level
So much data is avialable in so many different ways, takes awhile to master. Can feel like a $10,000 electric keyboard with so many bells and whistles

Who are the largest YouTube creators in X genre; demographics of creators; language of creators; what % of their views come from shorts

It helps me to find what is relevant in digital/social video by tracking performances, interests and channel behaviour/benchmarks.

**What do you dislike about Tubular?**

At times some of the features can be a bit limiting, e.g. only able to see watch time performance in some territories, and working on a global team I would need to explore a broken down view at times. 
the spilt of the services and its features has increased, in the years I've used it, I think it would be better if they simplified the lineup and change the pricing than introduce new features under new services with different prices.

It helps us to find out whether competitors and our industry is being affected by changes to the platform we use, but also how they are reacting. This helps us make an informed change where needed and how we can keep in tow or learn from and improve upon.

Tubular provides in-depth information about creator channels and shows overlap between two creators within the same space, which is helpful for research.

**What do you dislike about Tubular?**

There still isn't accurate Instagram information and TikTok took quite a lot longer to appear on the platform when TikTok has taken off significantly and doubles in market share YoY.  The feature is still incredibly limited on this platform compared to competitors.

**What problems is Tubular solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Tubular has a nice UI and the I&S services team is fantastic.  I think being able to purchase I&S without the self-service dashboard for teams that do not have the bandwidth to do all the research themselves would be essential.

The insight we've used from Tubular has helped guide our digital content strategy, identify key genres for ROI and identify whitespace opportunities.

I dislike not being able to see Watch Time data in Video Intelligence. It would be very useful if Tubular could inform me when new Creators are set up within a Property, so it's easier to track when our competitors are launching new YouTube channels or Facebook pages. It would also be great if there was a larger selection of Content Genres available to choose from in Tubular, for example 'History' does not appear in the pre-defined list

Two most valuable functions I utilize heavily are: (1) Boolean search for specific topics of video content , (2) Filters on creator & audience segmentation on videos

**What do you dislike about Tubular?**

Under the 'creator' and 'video' tabs, the interface of looking at data is not as optimised to scroll and select metrics to look at. I have to rely on data exports.

Short Form video data is valuable, especially TikTok data to see trends. Would like to see more segmentation available for SFV as it is the growing space in the coming years.

Go to platform for tracking videos with the flexibility to filter the timeframe, it allows to track SFV videos, which is great since SFV is very popular these days

- Filtering panel on the left is not consistent for creator and video tabs -- would be good to add audience filter on VIDEO tab as well

I wish the platform wasn't only limited to video metrics. It'd be great to get a more holistic view of total social performance.

**What do you like best about Tubular?**

Tubular provides a HUGE database of online video insights acrss both content creators and influencers and has a very easy to use, but detailed, interface and reporting capabilities. I love the depth of detail one can go into to find the right person or video, but also the ability to quickly scan large sets of data for quick turnaround analysis.

**What do you dislike about Tubular?**

The main downside of Tubular for many is likely the price point. It can seem expensive given the 2-seat minimum requirement, however, there is a wealth of data available so depending how you maximise this the investment commitment vaires.

**Recommendations to others considering Tubular:**

Think about the different use cases for the data and insights the platform provides as there is a lot more usage in it than just finding content creators or popular/relevant videos.

**What problems is Tubular solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I mainly use Tubular in two ways:
1. To find, monitor and compare influential users
2. To augment social listening reporting with additional data (using Tubular as a secondary platform alongside a dedicated listening tool)

I have also used it across issues/crisis monitoring, competitor auditing, campaign analysis and owned channel tracking.

Tubular is an amazing one-stop shop for all your influencer needs. Discovery, campaign tracking, etc

They don't include contact info for creators so you have to go manually find their email addresses
