## TeamMate Reviews
  ### 1. TeamMate Makes Audit Management and Collaboration Effortless

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tinh L. | Senior Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 09, 2026

**What do you like best about TeamMate?**

TeamMate is easy to use for managing audits, tracking workpapers, and keeping documentation organized in one place. It helps standardize the audit process, improves visibility into progress, and makes collaboration across the team more efficient. The reporting and workflow features are especially helpful for keeping engagements on track.

**What do you dislike about TeamMate?**

Certain workflows can take too many clicks. Reporting customization could also be more flexible.

**What problems is TeamMate solving and how is that benefiting you?**

TeamMate helps solve the challenge of managing audit work in a consistent, organized, and traceable way. It centralizes workpapers, review notes, findings, and reporting in one system, which reduces manual tracking and version-control issues. This benefits us by improving efficiency, strengthening audit documentation, increasing transparency over engagement status, and making collaboration and review much easier across the team.

  ### 2. Intuitive Hierarchical Layout Makes Audits Easy to Navigate

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Khánh Du N. | Internal Audit Specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 09, 2026

**What do you like best about TeamMate?**

What impresses me most about TeamMate is its intuitive, hierarchical layout. The platform organizes audit components into clear, logical modules, making it easy to navigate and move between sections without friction.

**What do you dislike about TeamMate?**

One area where TeamMate could improve is its notification system, which currently feels a bit too inconspicuous. The alerts tend to blend into the background, so it’s easy to miss urgent updates or overlook pending approvals that need attention.

**What problems is TeamMate solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before TeamMate, we struggled with fragmented data silos and manual version control across disconnected spreadsheets. Now, we can collaborate in a unified digital ecosystem where all workpapers are linked in real time. This has significantly shortened our audit lifecycle and eliminated redundant administrative tasks.

  ### 3. Highly Effective for Audit Management, With Room for UI Improvement

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Muhammad Rashid Mahmood - C. | Manager Internal Audit / IT Audit, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 09, 2026

**What do you like best about TeamMate?**

I find TeamMate+ to be a highly effective and structured audit management tool. It significantly enhances the efficiency, consistency, and quality of our order processes. The planning and execution phases are particularly well-supported by its features. I appreciate the well-organized framework it provides, which helps auditors define scope, objectives, and conduct risk assessments systematically. The risk-based approach embedded in the system aligns our audit efforts with high-risk areas, improving audit effectiveness. The working papers functionality stands out by allowing auditors to document procedures, attach evidence, and maintain proper audit trails in a very structured way. Also, I found the initial setup to be very easy and straightforward.

**What do you dislike about TeamMate?**

A more user-friendly design would reduce the learning curve. Also, system performance can occasionally be slow when dealing with large databases or extensive documentation. Another area for improvement would be integration capabilities. While TeamMate+ is strong as a standalone system, better integration with other enterprise systems such as ERP or data analytics tools would further enhance its value.

**What problems is TeamMate solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use TeamMate+ for audit management, which significantly enhances the efficiency, consistency, and quality of audit processes.

  ### 4. Structured, Consistent Audits with Strong Workflow Integration

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Richard H. | Senior Internal Auditor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 08, 2026

**What do you like best about TeamMate?**

Ya know, the thing I like most about TeamMate is the structure and consistency it brings to the audit process. I like how it keeps everything organized and creates a clear link between risk, testing, and conclusions, which makes the work more efficient and easier to stand behind.

I've enjoyed the integration experience. TeamMate works well within the audit workflow, and while we’re still exploring deeper integrations, it aligns well with the tools, systems, and other data sources we rely on. There’s definitely opportunity to expand integration capabilities, but overall it supports a more connected and efficient audit process.

**What do you dislike about TeamMate?**

One of the challenges I have with TeamMate is that it can feel a bit rigid and not always as intuitive as you’d like, especially when you’re trying to move quickly. There’s a bit of a learning curve, and some workflows take more steps than expected. That said, once you get comfortable with it, the structure it provides is valuable—it just takes some time to get there.

**What problems is TeamMate solving and how is that benefiting you?**

TeamMate addresses the need for consistency, visibility, and coordination throughout the audit process. It adds structure from planning through reporting, and it makes managing work across multiple auditors much easier—everyone can clearly see what’s been assigned, what’s in progress, and what’s been completed. As a result, the team stays aligned, efficiency improves, and the work remains well documented and able to hold up under review.

  ### 5. Everything in One Place—Simple and Convenient

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 08, 2026

**What do you like best about TeamMate?**

being able to have everything in one place

**What do you dislike about TeamMate?**

it can be difficult to navigate and figure out certain functions without guidance. For example, generating or customizing audit reports within the tool is not very intuitive.

There is also limitation when working with supporting documentation. While we can upload Word or PDF, Excel documents, we cannot directly edit them within Teammate +, which makes the review and revision process less efficient.

Also, Tm analytics could be more user friendly. I t currently requires a higher level of effort to use effectively, which can limit its accessibility for broader team use. There are also recurring issues with TM Analytics access, where licenses are periodically deactivated and need to be reactivated, which disrupts the workflow.

**What problems is TeamMate solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps organize and centralize the audit process by providing a single platform to manage audit documentation, workflows, and issue tracking. It also supports consistency in how audits are performed and documented.

This benefits me by making it easier to track progress, ensure all required steps and documentation are completed, and maintain alignment with audit standards.

  ### 6. Comprehensive Audit Tool with a Steep Learning Curve

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Paul F. | Audit Senior Advisor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 08, 2026

**What do you like best about TeamMate?**

I like TeamMate+ because it has the ability to link many different areas that stem from the audit of an item on the audit plan to planning, field work, and wrap-up, including issue follow-up and tracking all the way through remediation and closure. TeamMate+ does everything an experienced auditor or audit team needs, and I appreciate its ability to condense all the necessary data points to administer an audit with other stakeholders in our company. I think its ability to facilitate workflow is key to TeamMate+'s success and our use of it. It allows audit teams flexibility in managing the workflow when uploading and reviewing documents.

**What do you dislike about TeamMate?**

It takes a long time to learn. We frequently have to reach out to a subject matter expert to ask it to do things and facilitate data and status report manipulation that the average auditor either doesn't understand or is beyond the scope of their duties.

**What problems is TeamMate solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use TeamMate+ for internal audit and Sarbanes Oxley testing. It links different audit areas, facilitates audit process workflows, and handles issue follow-up and tracking through remediation and closure; making it essential for comprehensive audits and SOX testing.

  ### 7. Improving audit visibility and standardization with TeamMate

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Farming | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 07, 2026

**What do you like best about TeamMate?**

What I like most about TeamMate is its ability to centralize the entire audit workflow in one place. It helps manage audit planning, fieldwork, review, and reporting in a structured and consistent manner.

The system improves visibility over audit progress, making it easier for managers to track status, review working papers, and ensure deadlines are met. I also find the documentation and audit trail features very useful, especially for maintaining compliance and supporting review processes.

Overall, it enhances efficiency and standardization across the audit function.

**What do you dislike about TeamMate?**

One limitation of TeamMate is that the user interface can feel slightly outdated and not very intuitive for new users. It may take some time for users to get familiar with the navigation and workflow.

In addition, the system can sometimes be slow when handling large datasets or complex engagements. Customization options are somewhat limited, especially when trying to tailor reports or dashboards to specific business needs.

Improving user experience and performance would make the tool more effective.

**What problems is TeamMate solving and how is that benefiting you?**

TeamMate helps address the lack of standardization and visibility in the audit process. Before using it, audit activities were often managed through multiple tools such as Excel, emails, and shared folders, which made it difficult to track progress, maintain consistency, and ensure proper documentation.

With TeamMate, the audit workflow is centralized, allowing better control over planning, execution, and review. It improves coordination within the audit team and enhances transparency for management. This leads to more efficient audits, better compliance with internal standards, and reduced risk of missing key steps or documentation.

  ### 8. Flexible and Improved, But Permissions Can Still Be Tricky

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Banking | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 30, 2025

**What do you like best about TeamMate?**

The structure and the ability to modify viewpoints within engagements for purpose, such as control or risk overviews. The system functions well and with the update allowing you to drag documents between controls or risks is a huge improvement.

**What do you dislike about TeamMate?**

There are times where TM+ gets stuck or has an anomaly during normal use. Most often, we run into issues around permissions and access within engagements. I feel this has improved over the past year, but for a while we had auditors-in-charge who had full access over the engagement so that we could appropriately correct workpapers with minor updates and not have to require the initial preparer to mark prepared for an update that had no material impact to the workpaper or it's outcome.

**What problems is TeamMate solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Management and oversight of audit engagements. Allowing us to create our audit universe within the system and an inventory of consistent risks experienced by the organization.

**Official Response from Rebecca Franchi:**

> Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback. At TeamMate, we appreciate your recommendations to improve the audit solutions that your organization relies on every day. Your valuable input has been promptly shared with our product team to be reviewed.

  ### 9. Efficient Audit Management with Room for UI Improvement

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Amir A. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 07, 2026

**What do you like best about TeamMate?**

I love the centralized audit repository in TeamMate+ because it provides a single source of truth for audit work. The strong version control is fantastic as it reduces version confusion and ensures that reviewers always access the latest version while preserving a clear audit trail. This helps improve efficiency, accountability, and audit defensibility. The clear review and sign-off workflow is another great feature, as is the structured linkage between risks, controls, testing, and issues, which all contribute to consistent reporting across audits. The initial setup of TeamMate+ was great, too.

**What do you dislike about TeamMate?**

Some workflows are rigid and time-consuming, Word/Excel integration is not seamless, navigation can be unintuitive, and completing simple tasks often requires too many clicks. The Word and Excel integration could be more seamless, with easier check-in and check-out and in-document review notes. The user interface could be more intuitive, with fewer clicks for common tasks and clearer navigation between planning, WPs, and issues. Performance improvements and better usability would make day-to-day audit work more efficient.

**What problems is TeamMate solving and how is that benefiting you?**

TeamMate+ provides a single repository for audit docs, reducing version issues and supporting consistent methods. It improves review traceability, issue tracking, and reporting, enhancing audit quality. It gives a single source of truth, cuts version confusion, and ensures reviewers access the latest version, boosting efficiency and accountability.

  ### 10. Centralized Audit Workpapers and Automated Workflows Make Compliance Easier

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kendra C. | Vice President Internal Audit, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 08, 2026

**What do you like best about TeamMate?**

Being able to have a centralized repository of all audit workpapers and an automated workflow for reviewers makes compliance with the Global Internal Audit Standards easier

**What do you dislike about TeamMate?**

The survey process in TeamMate+ is worse than the TeamMate AM version; I preferred being able to trigger surveys without having to link them to an open audit file. As clients often take a while to respond to our post-audit surveys, we prefer to be able to finalize the audit file before receiving all responses.

**What problems is TeamMate solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We struggled with time management on engagements and the time entry and reporting tools have really assisted with tracking our hours and being able to quantify improvements.
