**What do you like best about Square Point of Sale?**

I love how Square Point of Sale makes the checkout process so straightforward. Even if someone has never used it before, they can figure it out quickly. The touchscreen layout is intuitive, buttons are clearly labeled, and the workflow is smooth. This reduces training time for staff and helps customers get through transactions faster.

**What do you dislike about Square Point of Sale?**

If the internet goes down, Square’s offline mode feels limited. You can still accept some card payments, but there’s always the risk they might not process later. For businesses in areas with unstable connectivity, this lack of reliability is a big drawback.

**What problems is Square Point of Sale solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before using Square, I had no way to accept credit card payments without signing up for a complicated merchant account. Square solved that problem instantly with a simple card reader and app. Now my customers can pay with debit, credit, or contactless methods, and I don’t have to turn away sales anymore. It makes my business feel more professional and keeps customers happy.

**What do you like best about Square Point of Sale?**

I appreciate that Square supports Apple Pay, Google Pay, and other contactless methods. Many of my customers prefer using their phones or smartwatches, and Square makes that process simple. It future-proofs my business and shows customers I’m keeping up with technology.

**What do you dislike about Square Point of Sale?**

I am very unhappy with the lack of real-time phone support. When a critical issue happens during business hours, we can't just pick up the phone and talk to someone. We have to navigate a frustrating online support system, which can take hours or even days to get a resolution, causing significant downtime and a lot of stress for our staff.

**What problems is Square Point of Sale solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I appreciate that Square helps me build a relationship with my customers. It automatically creates a customer profile for every transaction, so I can see a customer’s purchase history and keep notes on their preferences. This benefits me by allowing me to provide a more personalized and memorable experience for my customers, which is a huge part of building loyalty and repeat business.

**What do you like best about Square Point of Sale?**

I like that I can add all my clients in a separate contact list in the app to keep them separate from my contacts. I can add all the services and customize pretty much everything. They have online booking and it keeps all my client info organized. I used to have a little device I attached to my phone to take payments but now they have it so clients can just do tap pay right on my phone!

I’m still waiting to be verified for a bank account through them!

The fact that its simple to use, the layout is easy and understand. The square banking is great feature and so is square loans. We use it multiple times a week at all of our events. Simple set up and works great with our printer and ipad

I wish the fees where a little less then what we are paying per use

**What do you like best about Square Point of Sale?**

We have used square with our fitness business for over five years now, and before that I was using it for my on the road crafting business. It has come a long way in the last five years and has really adapted and grown with our business. The scheduling, as well as the traveling POS system has really helped us expand and made our lives easier. We have a few contract workers that travel to clients and thanks to square we are able to have them use their phones as a mobile checkout. It’s super convenient, easy to set up, and gives us great insights into our current revenue and pitfalls.

I would love more metrics, more analysis of sales data, and more integrations with fitness-based and content creation software that will help us specifically with our marketing efforts and measure ROI

Sometimes the reader did not work. I also wished there were less fees since we were nonprofit.

SPOS is user-friendly and easily accessible. The system is well organized and makes it easy to track everything I needed to track, like inventory, trends, and profit. I seamlessly integrated SPOS into my business.

There really isn't anything I disliked about it. Set up and maintenance was easy, even for the technically challenged! I never needed Customer Support.

Keeping up with inventory is a notoriously a nightmare, but SPOS makes it intuitive and easy. I was also able to easily track trends and compare data, such as how much money I make or product I sell in a certain month compared to other months or the same month over several years, which products are selling best and when, which kinds of products most of my profit is coming from, etc. This solves the problems of inventory management and planning.

I really appreciate how the POS functions seamlessly both on the website and on my phone when I'm out and about. It's quick, user-friendly, and my customers never seem to encounter any problems with it!

**What do you dislike about Square Point of Sale?**

The only aspect I think needs adjustment is the cost per usage. While charging according to legal standards is expected, the additional fee per transaction on top of the percentage could be reconsidered. Eliminating this extra charge would help maintain competitiveness and ensure the service remains the top choice.

**What do you like best about Square Point of Sale?**

I really liked the simplicity of using Square for my companies. It was easy to generate invoices and allow the customers to pay quickly and easily using credit or debit cards. It also sent out reminders if the customer didn't pay on time. I also liked how easy it was to setup the system. The onboarding was quick and simplistic. I liked the frequency of use with this product as it allowed me to use their invoicing and credit card processing for three different companies.

**What do you dislike about Square Point of Sale?**

The reporting of Square is lacking. For example, I need to get credit card processing information for several years back and Square was not able to provide this. Also, the ease of integration is lacking. Further, the customer service for Square was not good. Very difficult to understand the customer service agents' accent and I kept getting bounced around to other agents, none of whom could help me.

**What problems is Square Point of Sale solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Many customers don't want to pay by check or even ACH anymore and want to use their credit cards so they can get the benefits and perks of paying with credit cards. Square allows my businesses to do this.

It's really easy to navigate. If you already use Square for payments or POS, everything integrates seamlessly, saving you time. You can personalize your invoices with logos and colors. It sends reminders to clients for you, which helps you get paid on time. You can track your sales and see which invoices have been paid or are still outstanding. Square Invoices is pretty easy to implement for your business. We use it frequently to keep track of payments.

**What do you dislike about Square Point of Sale?**

Square charges fees for processing payments, which can add up, especially for small businesses. If you need to set up recurring invoices, Square might not be the best fit as it lacks this feature. Getting timely customer support can be challenging if issues arise. You need a reliable internet connection to access your invoices.

Square Point of Sale is incredibly user-friendly and intuitive, making it easy for staff to quickly learn and use with minimal training. It allows for fast transactions, detailed sales tracking, and provides real-time analytics. The ability to accept various payment types, including contactless and mobile, is a huge plus. Integration with other tools like inventory and invoicing is seamless.

**What do you dislike about Square Point of Sale?**

Occasional syncing delays or glitches with Wi-Fi connectivity can slow down the checkout process. More customization options for receipts and reporting would also be helpful.

Everything!
We love Square! We are on the beta team for Square for Restaurants and everyone is so pleasent to work with.
I love how everything integrates into Square and when we have a feature that we would love to see Square is there to listen to us.

Everything is so easy to set up and fairly easy to understand.
What I love as well, is that we are able to easily pack up our POS for when we have off site events, which is very often during the summer months.

**What do you dislike about Square Point of Sale?**

Being a restaurant we have operating hours that differ from the standard office hours.
The support line for Square for Resturants closes at a set time and when something breaks overnight, we have to wait until it reopens in order to call for support.

**What problems is Square Point of Sale solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Out of all the POSs I have tried, Square has the most up to date COGs.
I have upto date sales info whereever I go.

**What do you like best about Square Point of Sale?**

The Square POS is by far the easiest POS we have used (we have been through 3 others in the past). Both the front end and the back end are intuitive , and adding and editing products is a breeze. Also the integrations with accounting software (we use Xero) and other solutions is great. The support is also 2nd to none (there's always a human available at the end of the phone).
The hardware is also very nice. We use the Square Register and Square Stand.

**What do you dislike about Square Point of Sale?**

occasionaly we run up against limitations. (for example we want to be able to easily apply a discount to a combination of items, but not others, but there isn't that functionality just yet, but there is always a work around, and they are always improving and working on these things).

Providing a full featured POS, with many integrations (including online ordering) for our Cafe!

**What do you like best about Square Point of Sale?**

I like that Square POS does all the things you look for or want all in one system. It doesn't just take payments, it also has a loyalty program, email & text marketing, I can take orders in-person or online which created an app just for my business. If there's for some reason there's something it doesn't have, then there's 3rd party app integrations that works seamlessly which is great for me since I'm not techy it's been so easy to setup and use right away.

**What do you dislike about Square Point of Sale?**

The downside to Square POS is that since it tries to be a jack of all trades, since it does cover well so many different businesses, industries, that would all operate a little different, sometimes it does get a bit confusing when setting up the first time, but Square has great customer support, whether that's the help articles to walk you through and explain, the community forums where you can ask other fellow sellers for their experiences, or the customer support calls, chat, and email ticket system. There's always a way to find the answers you're looking for.

**What problems is Square Point of Sale solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My biggest business needs is communication to my customer base, so I benefit from Square's email & text marketing. Since it's all in the same system as my items and inventory I can specifically link what's on sale, announce products for preorder, have coupons and discounts sent to specific customer groups. Have automatic emails sent out to customers for first timers, or birthdays, or cart reminders. I can set up my email newsletters scheduled out ahead of time which allows me more time to focus on other aspects of my business.

**What do you like best about Square Point of Sale?**

Training is easy, visual representations of products and choices are good for staff, subscription billing linked to customers in the POS and gift card redemption ease are great for the business. The POS is a daily use item for us and we run it on our Square Register as well as on computers, the square terminal, and our personal devices when need arises. We switched from another provider and the changeover was very easy and training was a breeze. Square offers a great library and online community for help.

We have had a lot more success in accuracy in transaction ringing by new trainees.

**What do you dislike about Square Point of Sale?**

Some of the integration with online syncing  was tricky at first but those issues have been worked out over time and Square is very receptive of feedback.

Easy visual checkout, online integration, ease of use offsite and on multiple devices saves time over platform swapping and our former solution which did not offer a register possibility to make checking out members and vistors easy for staff.

Square Point of Sale makes running a small boutique and skincare studio easy for me day-to-day.  I've used it for record-keeping, sales, reports, and planning since about 2012.  It was super easy to get started.     I like that each year a few new features are added.  The ability to just use an iPad or my phone is game-changing so I don't have to invest in expensive hardware.  The software is easy to use-- if you can use a phone you can use this.  Over the years I've upgraded and downgraded as sales or business shifts.  My favorite part is I can see my sales information all the way back to 2012. It can be as basic or in-depth as you want.  I feel it has grown as my business grew.

I think it could do more.  There are several features I'd like to see added. New

However, this is a minor complaint when set against the backdrop of all the benefits Square brings to the table. The positives overwhelmingly outweigh these small negatives, making Square an indispensable part of our daily operations.

Across the board, Square has done a LOT to improve their platform for the betterment of their users. I like that there are so many different reports, capabilities, user interface customization, the online sector being taken into account, and so on. Truthfully, Square has developed a platform so robust in comparison to its beauty/wellness counterparts that it's hard to think of each individual thing I like best. 

In general, I'd have to say the thing I like best about Square POS is seeing how much it has grown in the 7 years I've been using it.

Fragmentation and user capability. 

I run a complex hair and scalp service business. It is impossible, so I'm told, to get the capabilities that businesses on the "Retail" POS get because I'm a part of "Appointments" and that's not something that can be offered. Um...what? So because I run an appointment-based business, I'm not authorized to have the full capabilities for shipping, inventory, etc.? Do I not also have retail in my business that would benefit from "Retail" capabilities?

I have an electronic record that saves me from having tons of paper around my office. 
See. This is a perfect place to point out I can't really list out what Square POS is "solving" for me in terms of my retail because I don't have the full capability of inventory reports, analysis, etc. because I'm not "fully" a Retail user.
