**What do you dislike about SolidWorks eDrawings?**

the only thing that i really don't like is the dimensioning feature could be built out more and be more user friendly.. maybe something similar to the smart dimensioning in solidworks.

**What problems is SolidWorks eDrawings solving and how is that benefiting you?**

im able to open dxf quickly to view them , im able to even view them on my phone with the edrawings app on my iphone. there arn't any other apps that work well with dxf's

**What do you like best about SolidWorks eDrawings?**

big files can easily open and other users like shop person can be seen easily annoate and look for 3d files in to free viewer. that is the great features

**What do you dislike about SolidWorks eDrawings?**

yes for big assemly its take time to convert solidworks file to e drawings files that needs to improved

**What problems is SolidWorks eDrawings solving and how is that benefiting you?**

if its required smaller end graphics for the big assembly file.

  ### 5. Terrible performance

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Hamid S. | Senior Fluidics Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 19, 2024

**What do you like best about SolidWorks eDrawings?**

Can open many 3D CAD file types. Can measure. Works with 3D mouse.

**What do you dislike about SolidWorks eDrawings?**

Performance is terrible. GUI is awful and very very glitchy, especially if you have multiple displays with different DPI. It resembles no common software; SolidWorks should make eDrawing from scratch.
No option to set defaults (e.g I want to always view as Shaded with Edges; I have to set it every time I open a file).

**What problems is SolidWorks eDrawings solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use it only for viewing/measuring 3D CAD files.

  ### 6. It's Effective Powerful software to open all type of drawing file

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rajiv M. | Senior Design Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 02, 2023

**What do you like best about SolidWorks eDrawings?**

I use it as a drafting tool to open AutoCAD and 3D PDF file and it is superb ,3D mesh file or any CAD file directly. Easy show ,hide , measure tool is very useful.

**What do you dislike about SolidWorks eDrawings?**

Sometimes like solidwork CAD software , this product (solidwork e-drawing) also get stuck and got crash when we open large files otherwise it's a best tool if someone didn't have any CAD file viewer.

**What problems is SolidWorks eDrawings solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps me check auto cad drawing and other drawing format file to open it quickly and review it also I can easily edit some basics portion in a drawing file .

  ### 7. Best for Design purpose

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Manufacturing | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 12, 2023

**What do you like best about SolidWorks eDrawings?**

As I am a mechanical engineer, It is providing better way to design any geometry. Also it is very easy to use including better customer support because we can easily access the command on the design/drawing page only.

**What do you dislike about SolidWorks eDrawings?**

As i discussed above that it has frequency of use and ease of implementation, So i don't think there can be anything to dislike about it.

**What problems is SolidWorks eDrawings solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Like for any design we have to prepare any drawing first, if we doing this on pages then it will be time consuming and less accurate but with the help of solidworks we can get precise and quick drwaing. That's how it is benefiting us.

  ### 8. A simple, intuitive CAD viewer.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Christopher S. | Product Development Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 10, 2023

**What do you like best about SolidWorks eDrawings?**

E-Drawings will open, natively, various non-SolidWorks formats (such as Pro-E and Catia) which - in addition to the generic file formats- is very helpful. Furthermore, e-Drawings can be used with the visual assets created with SolidWorks Simulation, making analysis reviews easier for individuals that do not have access to full-blown CAD.

**What do you dislike about SolidWorks eDrawings?**

As a simple viewer there are very few downsides to e-Drawings. It's Mark-up tools do not integrate with any Data/Revision Management tools, however. That's one downside.

**What problems is SolidWorks eDrawings solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a 3d CAD viewer, e-Drawings helps me communicate complicated geometry, visually, to my audience. Particularly Simulation-related assets.

  ### 9. invaluable tool for design engineers

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vishal S. | Senior Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

Its user-friendly interface allows seamless collaboration, enabling efficient sharing and viewing of 3D models.

**What do you dislike about SolidWorks eDrawings?**

occasional compatibility issues with complex assemblies and limited advanced modeling capabilities may pose challenges for intricate projects.

**What problems is SolidWorks eDrawings solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The real-time mark-up and measuring features enhance communication within the design & manufacturing teams.
the cross-platform compatibility ensures accessibility, enabling efficient collaboration.

  ### 10. The best 3D viewer for Solidworks

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Arasakumar T. | Head of Engineering | Business Excellence Manager at FLSmidth Chennai , Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 28, 2023

**What do you like best about SolidWorks eDrawings?**

We use it pretty much every day to share our models with suppliers for reference and even internally with all stakeholders. You do not need SOLIDWORKS license to review the design and refer to the layout from Solidwork

**What do you dislike about SolidWorks eDrawings?**

SOLIDWORKS e Drawings does offer a lot of options to the sender as well as the viewer. So I don't see many dislikes. But, frequently we face problems with lower versions of Software with Higher versions of files. Maybe a converter is needed as like Autodesk

**What problems is SolidWorks eDrawings solving and how is that benefiting you?**

File collaboration with Third-party service providers is tremendously good with SolidWorks eDrawing tool. My organization optimized our 3D Lincenses on Solidworks.
