It's very easy to learn; even a non-experienced person can learn to use it quickly. **What do you dislike about SolidWorks CAM?** In my opinion, there is no downside for SolidWorks CAM. Just one limitation, it is difficult to use it for manufacturing intricate parts as effectively as other Catia or MasterCAM softwares. **What problems is SolidWorks CAM solving and how is that benefiting you?** I used SolidWorks CAM to teach students the basics of Computer Aided Manufacturing. It is the go-to software for any newbie, easy to learn, can collaborate with SolidWorks, ANSYS. The coding part is also easier compared to the other softwares used in the industries. ### 2. Its simplicity to integrate with solidworks is great. It nearly has all the operations required and and also gives the G code which is useful to feed in CNC machine **What do you dislike about SolidWorks CAM?** When CAD model is imported into the solidworks cam the orientation can be a issue so before starting your operations in sure that the carrier model is oriented properly. I personally think that it's you I can be more simplified because we have to dig more for few features **What problems is SolidWorks CAM solving and how is that benefiting you?** I have been using solidworks CAM for CAM because I mainly use solidworks for CAD, analysis and simulation so it's easy to import same CAD model into the cam software. Software is very easy to use. I love the variable tool path speed for corners of the model. **What do you dislike about SolidWorks CAM?** Sometimes it crashes, especially if the geometry is complex. Also, I do not like the autocorrection of drawings after I manually enter all dimensions! **Recommendations to others considering SolidWorks CAM:** Unless you are going for the 30 days trial, it is expensive. Actually starting with this add-on will give you better compatibility with your design and manufacturing process. It is compatible with all the tools of SolidWorks CAD and gives a complete overview of manufacturing during the designing process. Again it provides higher machining facilities and it really works like a magic wand😀. It is a great tool for manufacturing companies and saves a lot of time . **What do you dislike about SolidWorks CAM?** Actually Solid CAM is not that cheap. You have to pay a handsome amount. But you can have a trial. You can ask anybody when you stuck or you can watch a video about it. **What do you dislike about SolidWorks CAM?** That program costs a little bit much if you want to buy for your company. But I just tried at university last semester. The beauty of the software lies in the stress simulations that can be performed on the designs, thus identifying the critical points of the designed parts and being able to predict their behavior accurately before manufacturing. **What do you dislike about SolidWorks CAM?** In all the time I have used the software, I have never had any problems.
