Being a graphic designer, I like the design of the tools and functionality. Plus, I rely mainly on Google and Youtube for tutorials and training, and there seems to be a vast resource of developers producing good training. **What do you dislike about SketchUp?** Two features seem to be missing. 1. You cannot add animated objects to your project unless you install a 3rd party plugin. 2. I can't add a video to projects; for example, if I have a TV in my project, I can't make it look like it's on. **What problems is SketchUp solving and how is that benefiting you?** Visualization - it allows me to create a project to visualize. ### 3. I usually just import my sketchup into CET to get that professional look. It is only second to drawing with a ballpen or pencil—a skill many are losing! I primarily use the pen/Line and have configured hotkeys to switch between tools and navigate the scene. 1. The drawing tools guess what I want to draw and along which axis. 2. The camera changes its focal point to the nearest geometry in sight or to what I'm pointing at while orbiting. Context: I've been modeling since Alex Bicahlo wrote the book on 3d Studio back in the 90s. **What do you dislike about SketchUp?** The mac version crashes too often, doesn't use the GPU properly and is poorly integrated with Enscape. **What problems is SketchUp solving and how is that benefiting you?** The speed of modeling orthogonal shapes and correctly applying textures save us considerable time ### 36.
