Being and open source and having limited marketplace developers, sometimes, one has to spend good amount of time and resources in customizing it as per need. If you are happy with Out of the Box features, its best for you. But if you are having complex business processes and looking to customize it, be prepared to take deep dive into custom deve and maintenance.

Though it has all features it takes to be great ecommerce platform, it lacks performance at times for heavy ecommerce implementation. Its good fit for Small to Medium enterprises for their ecommerce presence. But when it comes to thousands and millions of customers and products, this platform will not suffice needs in terms of customer experience as far as performance is concerned.
