"Quick, Easy, and great for simple applications"

What do you like best about Netlify?

Netlify is really easy to use for straightforward deployments and smaller applications. It's got some really easy features to configure your site, and there's tons of really fantastic presets for single page applications, Gatsby apps, and more.

As a front end developer, Netlify is awesome, and it's really easy to use for just getting a static site, single page app, or small project off the ground and live on the internet. The domain configuration is really easy too. For front end developers that just want to get something out into the world, Netlify is excellent! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Netlify?

For complex applications that require a ton of configuration, microservices, and virtualization, I don't think Netlify would be the best choice. We have some larger applications that make use of virtualization and automation, but we know that this will never be used for it because Netlify is better suited for smaller applications that don't need a ton of configuration.

I do think the user experience could use some work, as I had to call in to get my HTTPS upgrade with let's encrypt validated. It took a little bit to get it there, but their support was really great in handling it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Netlify?

What I love most is how simple it is to push changes. For example, I updated my portfolio with new project screenshots, committed to Git, and Netlify had the new version live almost immediately. I don’t have to touch hosting or SSL certificates which I often struggle, it just works. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Netlify?

Sometimes, especially on bigger projects, the free tier can hit limits on build minutes or bandwidth, which slows things down. Also, the error messages aren’t always obvious if something unusual happens during deployment,it took me a couple of tries to figure out a domain redirect issue Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Netlify solving and how is that benefiting you?

Netlify solves the headaches of manual deployment and server management. Before, I had to spend hours configuring hosting, SSL, and deployment scripts for my portfolio and small web apps. Now, I can push changes from git and the site updates automatically. It saves me a lot of time, and I can focus on designing and building the actual projects. "Effortless Deployments and Hosting with Great Developer Experience"

What do you like best about Netlify?

My most preferred aspect of Netlify is that static sites and JAMstack sites become deployable with a one-button click or simply a push to Git. The automated/continuous deployment from Git is smooth and all the built-in features like forms, serverless functions, redirects, and preview branches simplifies the development process. What do you dislike about Netlify?

Netlify is good for the front-end and static websites, but there are some limits for more complex backend functionality. Lacks the logs to resolve the issues Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Netlify solving and how is that benefiting you?

Netlify simplifies hosting and launching modern web applications. I need not toworry about the servers, set up the CI/CD pipelines manually, nor concern myself with hosting. It automatically deploys and builds whenever I commit code by tying into Git. This is a significant time-saver and enables me to spend more time building rather than doing DevOps. What do you like best about Netlify?

Netlify Connect enables the implementation and production of high quality, accessible websites which are easy to use, and with the use of Git to manage changes in a manner that does not require much customer support. I use this most days and find it easy to integrate with my other roles, and the features are comprehensive, and I haven't needed to use Customer Support very often, but when I do, the response has been prompt and helpful. What do you like best about Netlify?

It's easy to get started with Netlify, you get a lot of features even with the free plan. Forms work, Github integration works for basic sites. It has Let's Encrypt integrated, so getting SSL certificates is super easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
