The best thing about monday dev is how easy it is to bring all development work into one place. I like that I can connect GitHub, track pull requests, manage sprints, and handle bugs from the same board. The interface is simple, and the automation saves time for repeat work. Even though DevOps is not a built-in feature, the integrations with Jenkins and Docker make it possible to track CI/CD updates directly on the board. GitHub very easy to implement just few click, with bug tracking backlogs etc. Everyday we as team used the monday dev to track who is working on what track with backlogs sprints in one baords. At times, the boards can become sluggish when there are a large number of items or frequent updates. For more advanced DevOps automation, I still find it necessary to build custom workflows or rely on additional tools. While the pull request and ticket views are useful, there is definitely room to enhance the level of detail available in the DevOps dashboards. There are also some API limitations, such as the inability to manage email activity through the API, as this feature is not currently documented, though custom activity is available. I would like to see the API expanded to support more features, such as multi-level column reading for formulas and better access to email activity. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What stands out most about monday dev is how seamlessly it brings every stage of the development lifecycle into one visual workspace. I love that I can manage product roadmaps, sprint planning, bug tracking, and release workflows all in one place — without needing to jump between multiple tools.
The customizable boards and automation recipes make it easy to tailor processes to our team’s workflow, whether it’s managing agile sprints or tracking feature requests. The real-time updates and integrations with GitHub, Jira, Slack, and other dev tools help everyone stay aligned, reduce manual updates, and keep projects moving efficiently.
Overall, it combines the flexibility of monday.com with the structure and visibility that modern dev teams need. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
While monday dev is a powerful and flexible platform, there’s a bit of a learning curve at the start — especially when setting up more advanced automations or complex board structures. Some integrations, like Git or Jira syncs, can take extra configuration to get working exactly as expected.
I’ve also noticed that with large teams or heavy boards, performance can occasionally slow down, and the pricing tiers can add up quickly as you scale.
That said, once everything is configured, the benefits far outweigh these small drawbacks — the visibility, collaboration, and workflow clarity it provides make it worth the initial setup effort. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What I like best about monday dev is how easy it makes it to keep everything organized and visible for the whole team. You can track progress, assign tasks, and see updates in real time without having to chase people for info. It just keeps projects moving smoothly and helps everyone stay on the same page. I think sometimes monday dev can feel a bit slow or confusing when you’re trying to find specific settings or features. There’s so many options that it takes a bit to get used to it, and some things could be more intuitive Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Consider monday dev as a tailored adaptation of the original monday.com platform, crafted with the software development lifecycle in mind. It serves as a "Work OS" for engineering teams, connecting technical activities such as coding, bug tracking, and sprint planning with broader business objectives. I appreciate the pricing structure and how well it integrates with other Monday modules. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I use monday dev at work to structure our sprints, projects, and tasks, and I find it incredibly beneficial for providing a clear and comprehensive overview of our work. This overview is pivotal as it ensures transparency within our team; everyone understands what their colleagues are working on, which enhances our efficiency and coordination. I particularly appreciate the product's ease of use, as it simplifies our processes. Additionally, the ability to create tasks, utilize automation, and distribute work among team members stands out as highly valuable, allowing us to streamline operations and work collaboratively with ease. I find that some tasks can't be completed until others are finished, and this limitation reduces the flexibility in task dependency management. It would be beneficial to have more advanced functionalities to manage these task sequences effectively. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I really appreciate monday dev as it provides an excellent overview of tasks and planning, which is crucial for managing our sprints effectively. The ability to prioritize tasks and connect them with epics has truly enhanced how we monitor progress. One of the standout features for me is the ability to start sprints, which offers a structured approach to our work. Additionally, it's incredibly beneficial to have monday dev connect with other boards from different workspaces, especially since we also use Monday Work Management. This integration would not have been possible without monday dev. The initial setup was straightforward, particularly because we were already familiar with Monday Work Management and the use of templates further simplified the process. Overall, my experience with monday dev has been extremely positive, and I find it to be a valuable tool in our work processes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What I really appreciate about Monday dev is that it feels like a blend of Google Docs with a wide array of project management and tracking tools. Its collaborative features are especially valuable for managers and anyone involved in cross-functional work. Using it has taught me a great deal about the fundamentals of project management, making it a tool I truly value. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The integrations with other apps and AI tools still need improvement. Although these features are promoted within the app, I haven't found them to be practical in real-world use. Another drawback, which many people can probably relate to in today's digital environment, is the inconvenience of switching between my main app, Slack, and Monday. Since Slack now offers many of the same features as Monday.com, such as boards and lists, I tend to use Slack's versions just to avoid the hassle of moving between different apps. What I like most about monday dev is how it combines agile project management with real-time visibility into the team’s progress. The integration with GitHub and the engineering performance dashboard make it incredibly easy to track velocity, spot bottlenecks, and keep everyone aligned. It turns complex development cycles into clear, actionable insights. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What I dislike about monday dev is that the setup and customization process can feel overwhelming at first. There are many automations and views to configure, and it takes some time before everything flows smoothly. Once the initial learning curve is over, though, it becomes much easier to manage. I like that it integrates with GitHub. When we submit a pull request (PR), the PR gets added to the ticket automatically and gets marked for review. Once the PR gets merged, monday dev automatically completes the ticket. It's also helped with organizing sprints and streamlining tasks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It can lag quite a bit sometimes when we're pulling up our boards. The information displayed can be inconsistent. For instance, when I access the My Work view while in monday dev, tasks only show updates and no other info, but if I hit refresh, it'll take me to monday work management and I can see the complete info for each task. Dates for tasks can also change spontaneously, so I have to refresh for the dates to be corrected. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I really like it because it is a tool that integrates everything I need to manage my tasks, my documents, and my deliveries during my workday. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It has improved a lot, but we still have problems with support from the Monday team. For example, we have API integration with Power BI, and many of the updates that come in affect our semantic model, and we never get a solution from the Monday team. We always have to look for a solution in the community. As I am a Data Engineer, this is the point I see as most crucial and disruptive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
