They have a lot of connections that are pre-built and a lot of customizable options. The platform is really user friendly and easily navigatable. They also have a wide range of help topics. **What do you dislike about Klipfolio?** Their customer service is terrible. I felt very scammed because in the beginning they were telling me a different price than what I was being shown in their own portal. Then once I signed up I realized that a lot of the connections don't actually work. They advertise that they have connectivity with Instagram but they do not. I was told they were working on a solution more than 6 months ago and have not received a single update. Every time I contact support I get the impression that I am bothering them. I will not be renewing this platform because I do not feel valued as a customer. **What problems is Klipfolio solving and how is that benefiting you?** Klipfolio allows me to display my web analytics in one place in easy to use dashboards. ### 4. It can be easily connected with databases, Excelsheet, and Google sheet which makes data integration very smooth and easy. The Visualizations are amazing , there are a lot of chart and visual options for data analysis. **What do you dislike about Klipfolio?** Works really well with a small set of data but it hangs several times when we did analysis on a larger set of data. Unlike the majority of BI platforms, building with Klipfolio feels more like designing a web page than configuring a single chart at a time. A single Klip can contain multiple graphs from different data sets, either displayed side by side or modeled together on the spot. Variables are straightforward and can be made independent of the data, which makes room for creative solutions to a wide variety of UI requirements. Then for the most custom experience, HTML and Javascript can be written directly into the Klips and utilize the same data sources as the out of the box components, powering even more creative solutions. **What do you dislike about Klipfolio?** The platform can run a little slow sometimes, particularly when performing complex actions. With Klips, data sources are always fully refreshed when loading up a dashboard, which can drag down the performance when working with multiple data sources at the same time. They offer some power-ups to help head this problem off, but I think pulling in some of the resources used in their power metrics product would move the needle forward. Another small suggestion would be to carry over more features from the highcharts library into the base components. There are more chart types, tool tip functionalities, axis options, and dynamic labeling options in the most recent version of the same JS library that Klipfolio visualizations run on. **What problems is Klipfolio solving and how is that benefiting you?** Through Klipfolio, I have been able to design client-facing dashboards that replace entire reporting cycles and allow analysts to annotate the data and clients to ask questions directly on the charts that they're referencing. Being able to set variable values through hyperlinks allows me to easily share exactly how I'm viewing the dashboard with team members, and the automated email feature has helped me get around the issue of relying on users to log in to see the dashboards. ### 10. I appreciate that it is very clear what functionality is available, what kinds of visualizations you can create, and how to customize them. The documentation for the Klip components and data transformation is pretty good. I also appreciate that Klipfolio can securely connect to our database with TLS (this was a must-have feature). I am a software developer, so it has been pretty easy to work with. **What do you dislike about Klipfolio?** Dashboards with custom date filters are pretty slow to load, even with defaults selected. Data refresh queries time out pretty quickly and I have noticed in several cases that the query will time out on Klipfolio's side, but the connection to the database is never terminated. So if a query times out in Klipfolio, the query will keep running against our database for no reason. I wish there was a setting to increase the timeout. **What problems is Klipfolio solving and how is that benefiting you?** I am a backend software developer and it would take a long time for me to build a custom front-end to make reports accessible to other departments and company leadership. The visualization interface saves me time from having to code the front-end myself and I don't have to rely on a different front-end development team to be able to quickly get reports set up and out to people.
