I like that it offers free auto-captioning with good accuracy and clean quality. It’s very easy to use and saves a lot of time, which makes it perfect for a reel creator who needs fast and reliable subtitles without complicated editing. **What do you dislike about Kapwing?** While Kapwing is great for auto subtitles, the free version has some limitations like export restrictions and occasional watermarks. For longer or more advanced edits, performance can feel a bit slow, and some features are locked behind paid plans, which is why I don’t rely on it for every project **What problems is Kapwing solving and how is that benefiting you?** Kapwing is an excellent online platform for video editing, especially for auto-generated captions and subtitles. Previously, if I wanted to add subtitles to my videos, I had to download separate software, use trial versions, and then purchase the full version whether on mobile or laptop and almost all reliable tools for subtitling were paid. This process took a lot of time and effort, especially for short-form content like reels. Kapwing has completely changed that experience. It allows you to auto-generate captions easily and accurately within its online platform, with free features that are still high quality. I’ve used it extensively for subtitling my content, and it’s fast, intuitive, and perfect for a small scale content creator like me. For anyone creating informational videos, subtitles are crucial because they help viewers understand your content without sound. Kapwing saves time, simplifies the process, and delivers professional quality results without the need for expensive software. It’s ideal for short reels, social media content, and even slightly longer videos where subtitles are important. My first two projects were acceptable, especially the free trial one with watermarks that processed quickly. Then everything fell apart with my fourth project. The editor would get stuck "thinking" indefinitely, showing "one minute remaining" for hours. I lost all the projects from my second subscription month because I simply couldn't complete them. Technical support's response was frustratingly slow. Their solution? They offered to finish the project themselves, but the results were terrible. When I requested a refund, they only offered credits for their product - a surreal response considering the software clearly doesn't work. Why would I want more credits for a service that fails to deliver its basic functionality? Kapwing's customer service is as broken as their video editor. The platform was riddled with technical issues—stalled exports and long delays—that made it nearly impossible to complete my project. When I reached out for support, I found their no-refund policy inflexible and unreasonable, especially since the service failed to meet even basic expectations. What I find particularly troubling is that Kapwing continues to charge customers for a product that doesn’t deliver as advertised and refuses to take accountability. In my opinion, this practice is unethical. Companies should stand by the quality of their service and offer refunds when customers are genuinely dissatisfied. It's not professional and a little bit difficult to use. Also, I wouldn't say I like its loading speed.
