## About Iru
Iru is an AI-powered IT and security platform designed to help organizations secure their users, applications, and devices in an increasingly complex digital landscape. Tailored for the AI era, Iru integrates identity and access management, endpoint security, and compliance automation into a single cohesive solution. This unification streamlines operations, allowing IT and security teams to regain control and allocate their time more effectively. Targeted at fast-growing companies, Iru addresses the challenges faced by IT and security professionals who often juggle multiple tools and systems. The platform is particularly beneficial for organizations that require robust security measures while maintaining agility and efficiency. Use cases include managing user access across various applications, ensuring device security, and automating compliance processes, all of which are critical in today’s fast-paced business environment. At the heart of Iru is the Iru Context Model, which provides a dynamic overview of the organization’s environment by continuously monitoring users, devices, and applications in real-time. Complementing this model is Iru AI, an intelligent layer that transforms live data signals into actionable insights, orchestrates necessary actions, and maintains a comprehensive audit trail. This integration enhances policy enforcement, automates response mechanisms, and simplifies compliance, making it easier for organizations to adhere to regulatory requirements. One of Iru's standout features is its single endpoint agent, which manages and secures every device within an organization’s fleet. By implementing passwordless access through device-bound passkeys linked to device posture, Iru creates a trust fabric that strengthens security between users and devices. Additionally, compliance is continuously monitored with customized controls and an Adaptive Evidence Map that updates automatically, reducing the burden on IT teams and minimizing the risk of oversight. Iru aims to bring clarity and control back to overwhelmed IT and security teams by consolidating disparate tools into one unified platform. This shift allows teams to transition from reactive firefighting to proactive strategic initiatives that drive business success. The result is a more robust security posture, simplified workflows, and outcomes that align with organizational goals, ultimately fostering a safer and more efficient operational environment.

**What do you like best about Iru?**

Our ability to manage and monitor our Apple devices is smooth and the the SSO process is so much better.

**What do you dislike about Iru?**

Everything works really well but if I had to pick something it would be the custom application upload size. It needs to be larger to accommodate more applications. Without using an external source.

**What problems is Iru solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We originally started using it to have SSO on our Apple devices but all the other features have come in handy more then we realized.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ville H. | Chairman of the Board, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 07, 2024

**What do you like best about Iru?**

Kandji has been a game-changer for our small business! It’s incredibly user-friendly and has streamlined our Apple device management, saving us time and ensuring top-notch security. Highly recommend!

**What do you dislike about Iru?**

I’ve loved using Kandji, but expanding its support to include Windows devices would be a fantastic addition, making it even more versatile for mixed environments.

**What problems is Iru solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Kandji solves several key problems related to managing Apple devices by automating device setup, software patching, and security compliance. It streamlines onboarding with zero-touch deployment, meaning new devices are configured automatically, which saves time. Automated software updates and security patches reduce the need for manual intervention, ensuring our systems are always up to date and secure.

For us, it simplifies managing a fleet of Apple devices by providing real-time visibility into device security and compliance. This has been especially beneficial for our small business, as it reduces the burden on our IT resources and helps keep our operations running smoothly and securely

 ### 5. Great MDM for 10-200 devices!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 12, 2024

**What do you like best about Iru?**

Ease of use and integration with ABM is a huge plus for working with Kandji, we've been using them for 3+ years now and have been very satisified with their features. Kandji enables our lean IT team to manage our entire fleet without a huge and costly time investment.

**What do you dislike about Iru?**

In exchange for it generally being easy to use and quick to setup, you lose a bit of flexibility when you're trying to manage 1 device at a time, leading to some clutter in processes if you need to grant exceptions or particular apps to particular computers.

**What problems is Iru solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Kandji solves our need to make sure our fleet is updated and kept compliant with several security and compliance frameworks, as well as letting us handle most aspects of device lifecycle management from within as well.

 ### 6. Wonderful team and designed with the Apple User in Mind.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kassy G. | Executive Assistant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 07, 2024

**What do you like best about Iru?**

Kandji has greatly streamlined the way we manage our workstations while enhancing the overall security, which was a critical need. Once it is set up and running there is little to no maintenance .

**What do you dislike about Iru?**

I haven't encountered any negatives so far!"

**What problems is Iru solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Kandji is solving several key challenges for our post-production facility, primarily by streamlining the management of our devices and ensuring security compliance across all workstations. It allows us to efficiently manage updates, enforce security protocols, and monitor devices remotely, which is crucial in our fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Kandji saves us time and reduces the risk of human error, ultimately enhancing our productivity and maintaining a secure, reliable workflow for our team.

 ### 7. I wish we had started using this sooner.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Steve S. | CTO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 01, 2025

**What do you like best about Iru?**

Kandji is full of features and options to improve and manage our device management.

**What do you dislike about Iru?**

Because of the full range of features, getting started could feel be bit overwhelming.

**What problems is Iru solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Managing our devices and the software which are installed on them. It also helped us with our ISO27001 compliance.

 ### 8. Kandji has been easy to use to maintain all our Apple devices

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ron L. | Systems Administrator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 17, 2024

**What do you like best about Iru?**

Ease of use and the flexability to apply to their libaray items to different blueprints/assignment maps based off a users attribute.

**What do you dislike about Iru?**

Unfortunately, there is no remote management for devices. But this is a small problem that we can solve for with an external tool

**What problems is Iru solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Patch and application management via their auto-applications. These are applications supported as out of the box, which provides our teams with updates without having to download and upload packages from the internet.

 ### 9. Easy deployment at scale, best MDM experience out there

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chris B. | IT Director, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 18, 2024

**What do you like best about Iru?**

The ease of deployment and migration to Kandji from other MDMs or no MDM at all was the winner for us. The support team created a migration PKG for us that enrolled the user in the proper blueprint as well as walked the end user through the mobileconfig profile installation and prompts. Easiest tool onboarding I have ever gone through.

**What do you dislike about Iru?**

I would love more granularity in the device filtering and search. The do update the device page pretty regularly though, so its possible the limitations I previsouly had are no longer an issue.

**What problems is Iru solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am able to do Zreo touch deployment and manage a large group of Macs with ease. I can set it and forget it and know that the Kandji agent is taking care of updates and keeping our Macs in compliance with our poolicy. The pre-built blueprints also make it a breeze to get up and running quickly.

 ### 10. Best MDM for Apple Products

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

2. Very easy to use and configure, even if you don't have any knowledge of MDM
3. Works perfectly on Apple Devices
4. Best price-performance ratio
5. very fast support if needed
6. very good integration features

**What do you dislike about Iru?**

no dislikes from my side, everything we looked for works perfectly

**What problems is Iru solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Management of Apple Devices in our Company, mainly iPads and iPhones. Building user specific profiles (Blueprints) for different use cases or departments. Especially providing WIFI-Profiles and App restrictions is easily setup.

 ### 11. Kandji is Great but Not Fully Small Business Friendly

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** LaNeisha O. | Associate Director of Human Resources, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 17, 2024

**What do you like best about Iru?**

Kandji has been a huge help to our small business, allowing us to streamline our onboarding process and perform light IT work without the need for an IT department. I appreciate how easy it is to set up the platform and how user-friendly the application is. The chat feature, customer service, and the ability to speak with a tech right away are all excellent. One of my favorite features is the ability to protect and lock devices when offboarding employees, ensuring that the devices are returned. This is particularly important for us as a national company that ships out equipment and relies on separate employees to return it. Knowing that if a device is not returned, it can't be used by anyone else, gives us peace of mind.

**What do you dislike about Iru?**

I'm frustrated that Kandji requires us to buy licenses in batches of 50. It would be more helpful if there were an option for 10 licenses for smaller organizations. Currently, with 58 employees, I'm left with 17 unused licenses, and Kandji is not cheap. Additionally, adding more licenses requires restarting the contract with no refunds for the remaining months, just a credit for the new contract. This feels like a ploy to lock us in if we experience growth.

Moreover, I'm disappointed that the licenses are not interchangeable for all Apple devices. Our company uses Macbooks, and our licenses are only for Macbooks. We want to start using iPads, but we would need to purchase different licenses to do so, despite having 17 unused licenses. We currently have 2 iPads that we are trialing that are unprotected because of this. This model may work for big corporations, but it's not ideal for small businesses like ours.

**What problems is Iru solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Kandji has been invaluable in helping us with onboarding by ensuring that every computer has all the necessary software. Since we don't have an IT department, it has also been helpful for us in that regard. Additionally, Kandji helps us with device security by allowing us to know which employee is using which device, lock devices when necessary, and even erase and reboot devices if an employee tries to lock us out.

 ### 12. Kandji is a simple MDM for Macs

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Matt R. | Director, IT, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 16, 2024

**What do you like best about Iru?**

Kandji has been a simple to use device manager. Compared to more complex device management options, Kandji was easy to set up and the UI was simple to navigate. Compared to tools like JAMF that require more active administration, Kandji was more of a "set it and it works" tool that allowed us to easily administer 300 endpoints with less than 2 employees. Their customer support has been great, often providing us pre-built scripts to solve problems fast. They are responsive and knowedgable about their product.

Recent enhancements to their configuration tooling (through Assignment Mapping) provides a powerful way to create condition-driven pathways for device configuration. Another great feature set is integrations, namely Okta and Drata. We are able to automatically monitor device compliance and use dynamic groups from our IdP that power condition-based configurations. Additionally, Device trust was a welcome addition to Kandji's capabilities last year.

**What do you dislike about Iru?**

Reporting capability in Kandji is limited within the console. If you are handy with an API, you can pull out detailed information through that method.

**What problems is Iru solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We needed a device management tool that would help us meet basic endpoint management compliance, improve our end user's Mac experience and allow a lean team to manage endpoints for a rapidly evolving business. Kandji's ease of use and base feature set makes onboarding, device maintenance, support and offboarding of our global user base achieveable with a very small team.

 ### 13. One of the best Apple MDM solutions

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jae K. | IT Operations Manager, Financial Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 19, 2025

**What do you like best about Iru?**

as 5+ years MDM administrator, Kandji is one of the best Apple MDM solution. Very easy to use and great customer support. If you use Okta as IdP especially, you will be able to integrate lots of features

**What do you dislike about Iru?**

Hopefully, the security feature gets stronger

**What problems is Iru solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As FinTech company, it's important for us to meet security and compliance requirement for auditing like ISO 27001 and SOC Type 2

 ### 14. Kandji has been a great tool for managing our devices for our customers.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 17, 2025

**What do you like best about Iru?**

I love the ease of use in creating complex blueprints and setups with Kandji. The interface gives you so many tools to customize and granularly set almost every aspect of a device.

**What do you dislike about Iru?**

I feel like there could be areas to improve in the UX, but it is still quite easy to use.

**What problems is Iru solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Kandji is helping keep our devices safe when we deploy these devices to our customers who are merchants. They use devices for storefront use and the ability keep features hidden that could break that functionality is key.

 ### 15. Great Device Management Tool

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 27, 2025

**What do you like best about Iru?**

Very convenient for me check my updates in my MAC and all the gadgets attached to it. Its easy to troubleshoot my device through this.

**What do you dislike about Iru?**

Sometimes the app is pretty forceful if you dont update it within time.

**What problems is Iru solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Keeps my MAC updated, sp that everything runs smoothly. Very easy to use too, avoids all kinds of unnecessary headaches pertaining to SW.

 ### 16. Out of the box MDM

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Frank W. | Head of Security & IT, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 12, 2024

**What do you like best about Iru?**

Compared to other Mac MDMs (Jam*, I am talking about you), there's a lot more builtin functionality that doesn't require Third party tools:

For example:
- Enforce OS and app updates
- Installation wizard for initial setup

**What do you dislike about Iru?**

Some options are not as granular, for example OS patch levels are tied to the Library item which is shared amonst the blueprints.
The new assignment map feature is confusing.

**What problems is Iru solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Install corporate software automatically and enforce controls.

 ### 17. Kandji - A breath of fresh air!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Neil C. | Infrastructure Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 19, 2025

**What do you like best about Iru?**

Kandji was very quick to implement and learn. So many tasks are just there to be used unlike other providers where you have to search through the system to find the setting. Kandji has reduced the time it takes us to enroll, deploy, patch and do all the tasks required in the modern management platform.

**What do you dislike about Iru?**

No downsides to Kandji. It does exactly what we need it to do and with no hassles.

**What problems is Iru solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Operating system and application patching

 ### 18. Kandji is a recommended Apple MDM

**What do you like best about Iru?**

It has a freindly well designed UI with many good features to control and monitor your Apple devices across your organization.

**What do you dislike about Iru?**

Some limitations settings are not fine grinded enough.

**What problems is Iru solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Kandji assinting in control and monitor all of my Apple devices across my organization.

 ### 19. 2 Years Strong

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andrew B. | IT Administrator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 11, 2024

**What do you like best about Iru?**

Ease of use. The platform is fairly intuitive as well as it has a simplified UI which makes navigating the plaform very enjoyable. Sending updates with new apps or configs is also a very streamlined and easy process to go through once you have learned the terms Kandji uses for any of its systems.

**What do you dislike about Iru?**

Any update you push to Ipads can be delayed if the OS is not the latest version. You are also unable to force push apps without that OS update. Kandji has settings around "miminum OS version" but even with these set I find it still needs a local push for things.

**What problems is Iru solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Unified app configuration across all sites.

 ### 20. Excellent MDM for Apple Devices - Efficient, Secure, and Easy to Use

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Medical Devices | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 23, 2024

**What do you like best about Iru?**

We've been using Kandji as our MDM solution for all our Apple devices, and it's been a fantastic experience. Managing security and application deployment across all our MacBooks has become streamlined and efficient. Kandji has made life easier for both end-users and our central management team, particularly in maintaining compliance.

The 'blueprints' feature allowed us to group and configure our devices in a single day, and we had everything fully set up within a week. The integration with our compliance platform, Vanta, has been especially valuable, saving us a lot of time and effort in meeting security and compliance requirements.

On top of that, Kandji offers great tutorials that made the setup process straightforward, and their customer support has been excellent whenever we've needed assistance.

Overall, Kandji is an outstanding tool for Apple device management, and I highly recommend it!

**What do you dislike about Iru?**

If there is even one non-Apple device in your organisationthen you need to use another MDM and that can make things more complicated.

**What problems is Iru solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Kandji is solving a number of challenges we faced with managing our fleet of Apple devices. Firstly, it has greatly simplified device security management by allowing us to enforce consistent policies and compliance across all MacBooks in our organisation. This centralised control has reduced manual oversight and the risk of non-compliance with industry standards.

Additionally, Kandji streamlines software deployment and updates, ensuring that all users have the right applications and are running the latest versions without any hassle. This saves both IT and end-users a lot of time, minimises downtime, and improves overall productivity.

The integration with our compliance tool, Vanta, has also been a major benefit, making audits smoother and helping us maintain strict security standards. Overall, Kandji has provided us with improved security, compliance, and efficiency, which is crucial for our operations.

**What do you like best about Iru?**

That you don't need to be an expert. Anyone with basic knowledge can get Kandji up and running in a sufficient way to align with ISO27001.

**What do you dislike about Iru?**

There are some automations Kandji could gain from having. Like automatic user correlation between Google Workspace users and local users.

**What problems is Iru solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Device enrollment, configuration alignment and ISO/SOC2 compliance

 ### 22. At a glance compliance status for all our Macs

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Barry C. | CTO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 02, 2024

**What do you like best about Iru?**

The most important part of Kandji is the ability to set and enforce standards across all out owned and BYOD devices. Setting up maps and blueprints for our different users profiles is a snap. The ability to install new apps or reconfigure laptops remotely is vital as we are a 100% mobile workforce. Kandji allows me to lock and reconfigure devides remotely.

**What do you dislike about Iru?**

The only downside of Kandji is that it is a Mac only solution. This isn't a huge deal for me because I'm a Mac only shop, but it would be inconvenient if I had a larger number of non-Mac devices.

**What problems is Iru solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Compliance of devices as part of SOC II.

The integration with Apple’s ecosystem is seamless, from zero-touch deployment to app installations and patch management.

**What do you dislike about Iru?**

While Kandji is feature-rich, some advanced customizations for unique use cases can feel slightly limited

**What problems is Iru solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Kandji has helped us to managed Apple devices, reducing manual intervention and streamlining operations. The automation tools have also reduced the workload for our IT team.

 ### 25. Kandji is great

It would be really great if Android was supported.

**What do you dislike about Iru?**

Some of the documentation on key functionalities is a little hidden.

**What problems is Iru solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It makes it easy for us to keep track of which device is with whom and see any security concerns live.

Kandji is helping us manage, secure, and support our MacOS device fleet. It not only allows us to better support our users but also seamlessly makes it easy to enforce the security required for our compliance needs.

 ### 33. Kandji is the Apple device management and security platform you want.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Philip P. | Chief Technology Officer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 25, 2024

**What do you like best about Iru?**

How Kandji works is clear. It was super easy to get up and running.

From ABM integration to device auto-enrollment, to specifying configurations and policies for different groups, employees, and devices, you're going to get the things done you need and not need to live in the tool all day to be sure things are how they're supposed to be.

Truly no-touch, nothing needed from your end user—no, really, no asterisk here. It just works .

You don't need to be a seasoned macOS admin to pick up and run the Kandji implementation—which is huge.

Available and eager-to-help customer support and customer success teams make it easy to get your questions answered.

**What do you dislike about Iru?**

There are some aspects of the UI that feel unintentional, sort of engineer-designed. For phones, you can see the phone number if you home-in on a single phone, but you can't add it as a column to the table view. All this can be fixed tho.

There's a 50-device minimum for macOS, which feels steep. Sure, I wish all employees were on Mac, but I believe in employee choice, and I'll always give the choice on Mac and PC. When that's the case, you just might not hit 50 Mac users. But this is finding something to complain about, rather than it actually being a problem.

**What problems is Iru solving and how is that benefiting you?**

InfoSec is just a thing we have to do—but we don't want to spend too much time doing it. Kandji secures your devices and enables you to give employees a quick device setup get to productivity.

InfoSec and IT requirements don't have to be productivity killers. If they are, maybe you have the wrong tools in your kit.

 ### 34. Very easy tool to manage Devices

There's instances of forced restarts whenever there's updates pending (even though the priority is low from security perspective) that hinders work at times.

**What problems is Iru solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Software updates, notifications and easy to use interface to know the status of device

We moved from Jamf to Kandji about 3 years ago. The transition was easy and managing our 900+ mac devices has never been easier. Kandji's blueprints make it really easy to set up base builds and manage software with our different account and creative teams.

**What do you dislike about Iru?**

I really don't have much negative feedback as they are constantly improving the platform and adding new features to make our Admin's job easier.

**What problems is Iru solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have had tremendous growth over the past few years and have doubled the amount of devices we manage. Being able to use their tools to update and manage our macs has been instrumental.

**What do you dislike about Iru?**

Kandji can some times be lacking the same features of competitor MDMs but they have been pretty good at either impmenting them or putting them on a road map.

**What problems is Iru solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Kandji helps us mangemange our Mac fleet of 1000 devices.

 ### 40. One of the worst companies in Enterprise SaaS

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alexander C. | Co-Founder & CTO, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 26, 2024

**What do you like best about Iru?**

Kandji is easy to setup and deploy initially with good integrations to other tools like ABM and Okta.

**What do you dislike about Iru?**

Kandji is the first vendor I have ever seen (out of hundreds of renewal conversations) to threaten litigation during a renewal conversation. Their approach to the customer feels deeply adversarial and hostile in all situations - from support through to renewal.

The product routinely has show stopping bugs that close to nullify its value - such as OS upgrades not being enforced on Apple Silicon devices (as of 26th September 2024).

**What problems is Iru solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Kandji is responsible for enforcing our device security across our MacOS device fleet.

 ### 41. Recommended Apple device management platform

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** David G. | IT Technician, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

Must sync paid app with Apple business Manager to Kandji.

Kandji is helping us to monitor and cnofigure all of our company Apple devices.

 ### 42. Excellent MDM solution for the Apple ecosystem

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Danny H. | Director of IT, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 19, 2024

**What do you like best about Iru?**

It is simple to set up and operate, especially with an ABM account, which ensures laptops come preconfigured. Connecting to our IDP for laptop accounts via SSO is a smooth process. Kandji's Support team is highly responsive and often resolves issues or questions directly in the chat box. Kandji also provides regular updates, effectively communicated through Slack, email, etc., so administrators are informed about new options and OS updates for users. Since adopting Kandji, our team has reallocated time to other IT areas by leveraging zero-touch deployment, lift-off, self-service, and other functionalities.

**What do you dislike about Iru?**

I would appreciate more comprehensive patch management for third-party applications. Additionally, the passport sync feature with Google could be significantly enhanced by incorporating the ability to use MFA with security keys. Improved alerting capabilities based on activity would also be beneficial.

**What problems is Iru solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Kandji helps us manage, secure, and support our macOS device fleet while enabling zero-touch deployment. It enhances our ability to support users and effortlessly enforce the security measures needed for compliance.

 ### 43. Easy to Use, Packed with Features

Kandji’s user-friendly interface and sleek design make it easy to navigate, even for first-time users like myself!

**What do you dislike about Iru?**

One area where I think Kandji could improve is the search function. There are times when I can't get the results I need with the filters currently available.

Kandji takes the hassle out of managing and securing a large number of devices. It automates things like updates, and app deployments, making everything run smoothly and without much effort.

It's a supportive tool for Apple devices, it gives automated notifications for updates required for each app that is required. great device management software.

**What do you dislike about Iru?**

Just that every time I restart my MacBook, kandji asks to log in separately.

**What problems is Iru solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack, google chrome, google drive and also notifies me to restart my MacBook every week.

Security, asset management, builds - It really allows us to keep track of our estate and manage them efficiently.

 ### 47. Great tool for small teams!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kim M. | Information Technology Support Specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 21, 2025

**What do you like best about Iru?**

Kandji made it easy for our small IT team to effectively manage devices for over 50 employees. It was a streamlined process to ensure devices were meeting SOC2 compliance requirements.

**What do you dislike about Iru?**

The only negative to Kandji was its lack of windows device support.

**What problems is Iru solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Easy to use plug and play solution for MDM. Made SOC2 compliance easy. Helped keep inventory for a completely remote team.

 ### 48. Kandji is a game changer!

**What do you like best about Iru?**

The easy to use UI and seamless experience for employees. Plus their support team is the best!

**What do you dislike about Iru?**

Community support isn't as well built out but it is to be expected for a newer product. Smart groups is something that I wish they had but they have similar features that work.

**What problems is Iru solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Keeping our devices secure while improving the employee experience!

 ### 49. Easy Mac MDM

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Drew H. | Director of Information Security, Hospital & Health Care, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 26, 2024

**What do you like best about Iru?**

Overall I like that Kandji integrates well with Apple Business Manager and Identity Providers to make it a seamless process to onboard users into a managed Mac OS experience. It was easy to implement the solution even with existing devices that weren't in ABM.

The Auto Apps are very helpful to keep common applications up-to-date.

Support is very eager to assist with chat, and they have a chatbot that helps find documentation quickly.

All functionality is in a single portal, and configuring devices is really simple with blueprint.

The reporting features are really handy ways to get into the portal frequently to see what apps are installed. I check on devices very often. Aerts are easy to track.

**What do you dislike about Iru?**

Unfortunately the Kandji agent does not support MFA with FIDO2 hardware keys for logins, so it requires additional purchases from Identity Provider to add this capability.

There does not yet exist a local admin password randomization feature to make it so each device has a unique local password.

**What problems is Iru solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Kandji makes deploying software easy, and it keeps device configuration in line with known benchmarks and standards.

 ### 50. A perfect MDM solution for our entire business ensuring end-to-end control

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**What do you dislike about Iru?**

There is little to dislike about Kandji. We've tested every major Apple MDM in the market and Kandji was above and beyond the best fit for our needs and by far the most versatile.

**What problems is Iru solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our team is distributed accross the UK, Europe & further afield. Using Kandji, we've taken control of our Apple estate, the primary device every team member uses to do their work. Using Kandji, we enforce software updates, restrictions on guest accounts, the rollout of applications and most importantly, single sign-on using our Google Workspace Directory as the authentication method.
