What do you dislike about isolved?

Review reminders are sent to out too often and some things are more difficult to change because you have to change them in so many different spots. Directions could be more clear for setting certain things up, but our iSolved customer support rep (Kristen Hill) has been super helpful. Victoria Garrison too, during Kristen's absence. What do you like best about isolved?

I appreciate how seamless everything is, HR, payroll, time, and benefits all work together without duplicate entry. It makes daily HR tasks much more efficient. Their automation features save a lot of time, and the employee self-service tools are very user-friendly. What do you dislike about isolved?

A challenge is during implementation. The reps tend to focus only on the minimum requirements needed to get the system live, and they do not always explain everything the platform is capable of. What do you like best about isolved?

The best part about isolved is that employees can enter their own time, and managers can approve it. This reduces the time H.R. spends reviewing the timecards. I also like that employees can request time off and view their PTO balance. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about isolved?

The fact that there are so many other options, but we are unaware of them. I only find out about them when I call support with a problem and am told that I do not have access to that. We can't get access to something we don't even know exists. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about isolved?

I appreciate the wide range of options and features available in isolved, which caters to our complex needs. The ability to easily reach out to a representative and find a solution to a problem, often at no additional cost, is incredibly valuable. For example, by simply turning on a feature, like the analytics dashboard, we now have access to a wealth of data to present to management, enhancing our decision-making process. I find the system enhancements, such as customizations and integrations with other platforms like Cigna and TIAA, have streamlined operations significantly. The customer support team is outstanding, offering constant updates and ensuring everything during integrations is handled properly. What do you dislike about isolved?

What do you like best about isolved?

For me, the most helpful part of isolved is having everything in one place. IT streamlines my workflow, reduces duplicate tasks and makes managing employee information much smoother. What do you dislike about isolved?

Our law firm often requests reports that we are unable to generate in isolved. For example, we offer two floating holidays and would like to print a list of all employees that includes their floating holiday balances and whether they have used them. Additionally, during our annual reviews, we experienced a syncing issue with the ‘employee supervision’ field, which required us to call several times for assistance. What do you like best about isolved?

We are a small company (just under 50 W-2 employees) and after Covid we expanded our remote employee base into 7 other states. Adding their platform to help make and keep the handbook state compliant, sending me instructions on how to enroll in new states, and any specific employment communications that need to be made is invaluable. The open enrollment process is made so easy having a dedicated representative (Heather Cannon) who holds several joint meetings with us and our insurance broker so we can be sure the communications made to our employees are proper, the rates are accurate, the full documents are in the portal, and that the reminders are sent by iSolved and not manually done by me. Even our FSA/HSA and Dependent care platforms are with iSolved so it's one stop shopping for my employees. With all of these platforms I use, I am still getting more value than the price I paid with our prior carrier. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about isolved?

The first payroll after transition did not go smoothly. We had a very complicated hourly payroll structure which made it difficult to get hours to compute properly. What do you like best about isolved?

Isolved customer service is the very best. I have only positive experiences when I have need help.We have been with isolved since 2017. Their product has made doing payroll a breeze. I use it daily. We use many of their products and has made us staying in compliance with all the changes that happen throughout the year. "Valuable Community & Support, But Navigation Takes Time to Learn"
What do you like best about isolved?

As a nurse and not necessarily an HR person, I really love the support and references in the iSolved community. There are videos, blogs, articles and more on such varied topics such as navigating change, payroll and tax form updates, state specific information, general information regarding PTO, seasonal workers, etc. I find it a great resource to expand my knowledge base, and connect with other professionals as well. As our payroll vendor, they also try to be very responsive and accommodating with changes we need to make and our questions. we also store employee documents and personnel file documents inside the system and plan to expand this using the tools available. It is great to have a central place to see hire information, status, benefits elected, personnel documents etc in a secure location. i frequently refer to my iSolved account. What do you dislike about isolved?

Our old payroll system we had one direct contact for all questions about any part of the system, payroll, concerns etc and a direct phone number. iSolved is a larger company and we have an email for questions and concerns but it is not as direct as we were used to. What do you like best about isolved?

I like it all and use it all, every day. There is so much that it does...reports are endless, You can write reports, enter payroll, time and attendance, HR, onboarding. WC tracking, just the tip of the iceberg. Customer service with Isolved is very good. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about isolved?

I use isolved as our entire HRIS for our company, from when employees fill out their application to their termination or retirement process. I find it really helpful to electronically complete and store all our employee files, as well as manage payroll and benefit enrollment. It saves us so much time versus doing it manually. I like that isolved is always quick to assist and streamline any of our processes and offer solutions, even when we think there might not be one. I also appreciate their great customer service. We have monthly calls with our customer service rep to go through different parts of the system and get updates or ideas for streamlining our processes as we walk through how we use the system today. What do you dislike about isolved?

Reporting features could be a little bit better. There are a ton of reporting options available, maybe too many. Some of the reports we only use once a year, so to remember which ones we need to run is sometimes a challenge. We also have to manually merge some of the information on different reports to get what we need. If we could customize the reports that would save a lot of time. What do you like best about isolved?

What I like best about iSolved is how user-friendly and straightforward the platform is. Even as a newer user, the layout is clean and intuitive, which makes it easier to navigate different HR functions without needing extensive training. The dashboard provides quick access to key information, and the workflows feel more streamlined compared to other systems I’ve used.

I also appreciate the transparency it gives both employees and supervisors. The self-service features—such as viewing paystubs, submitting time-off requests, and updating personal information—are easy for employees to use, which helps reduce administrative workload on HR. The system’s organization of employee records, timekeeping, and benefits information in one central location is also a strong advantage.

What do you dislike about isolved?

As a newer user, the main challenges I’ve noticed with iSolved relate to consistency and depth of functionality. While the platform is user-friendly overall, some modules feel more limited or less intuitive once you move beyond basic tasks. Certain areas—like reporting, setting up workflows, or making configuration changes—could benefit from more flexibility or clearer guidance.

There are also places where the system feels a bit “click-heavy,” requiring multiple steps to complete what should be simple processes. Some of the navigation between modules isn’t entirely seamless, which can lead to extra backtracking or repetitive data checks.

Additionally, the reporting tools, while useful, aren’t as robust or customizable as other HRIS systems. More visual dashboards, easier custom report building, and improved analytics would help managers and HR users get deeper insights without relying heavily on exports or manual spreadsheets.
