He asked us all the questions that we needed in order to make a firm decision. What we like most is the ease of use with the software and how simple it is to find an answer or solution. **What do you dislike about Good Grants?** We have not found anything to dislike yet, but we have only used the software for a short time, so we may have to check back about that once we are using all the tools within the software. **What problems is Good Grants solving and how is that benefiting you?** Saving time. We were in the trenches with our former software (Blackbaud Grantmaking). It is so hard to use that we spend literally weeks if not months, annually trying to navigate the software. We can have lots of reviewers and compare their results using the leaderboard. **What do you dislike about Good Grants?** I find the interface really confusing. I think setting up grant and reviewing rounds could be drastically simplified. The price, especially for charities like ours, is really high too. Perhaps the pricing structure could reflect use. For example, we do one grant round a year. We receive around 300 applications and award 80 grants. This all takes place over a 3 month period. The other 9 months of the year, the programme goes unused for us. We would like all of the features of the highest plan, but we don't use it enough to justify that. **What problems is Good Grants solving and how is that benefiting you?** Prior to good grants we used survey monkey to run our grants round and reviewing round. Whenever I have a question or run into an issue, I get a very prompt response, usually in less than 2 hours. My client success manager, Jeremy, is absolutely wonderful. He always listens to my suggestions and ideas for ways to enhance Good Grants and the customer experience is top notch. **What do you dislike about Good Grants?** The way our team processes grant applications is slightly different from the available functions in Good Grants. We have tailored it to our needs, but with the way we process approvals, the functionality in Good Grants doesn't exactly work for us. Applicant's have their own portal to login and track the status of all their applications. Collaborative applications has solved a huge problem for us in regard to application visibility. Likely this is user error, but all the ways I've tried haven't worked so far. I'd just like the Form copies to have an option to not link to each other. It allows us to manage programe changes simply without having to duplicate those for every award. In fact, I usually had an answer within the hour! If my CSM was out, my question would be picked up by an equally knowledgeable staff member. This particularly impressive considering their staff is distributed throughout the world. Attention to customer service is the deal maker/breaker for me and Good Grants does a great job! **What do you dislike about Good Grants?** We want applicants to complete the application in the portal but also allow them to download a PDF of the full application before starting. In addition, we started the application with two conditional screening questions, which would determine if they met basic criteria and either allow or not allow the rest of the application to appear. The link to download the application appears before these questions which meant the only part of the application they could print was the two screening questions. We decided that the availability of a PDF of the application before starting was most important so we removed the conditionality of the screening questions and will be screening the applications for eligibility ourselves.
