**What do you like best about Dymola?**

Feature rich models
Easy to implement custom based library
Real and virtual simulations using fmi 
Digital twinning for integration of manipulators with the software and hardware part
Rely for the precision data you get from the software
Need not to worry about using any other software if you're using dymola

**What do you dislike about Dymola?**

Not sufficient knowledge is provided by the company on open source basis.

Difficult for the students who don't have the system requirements 

Requirement of internet speed is much more than normal connection

Learning should be imparted via tutorial which is not available open source

**Recommendations to others considering Dymola:**

You can use the software for mathematical modelling of your designs,

Helps in providing all the real time data of the simulations  in the form of graphs

Can use the same if you're looking for Digital Twinning

**What problems is Dymola solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Movement of servo manipulators with the help of Dymola

Can use and integrate different micro-controllers using FMI library

**What do you like best about Dymola?**

I worked for almost year in Dymola. It is more user friendly. 
We can change the inner modelica codes of each submodel in libraries. I worked on Autombile Airconditioning. My objective was to model a pipe which can calculate the pressure drop during 2 phase flow using existing pipe models in dymola. So
I developed new pipe models using existing models in dymola for that particular project. The simulation results came very close to actual results after i modelled the pipes. so, I like Dymola very much. 
Also, there is  option to run c codes for automation of simulation. which helped me very much as I had to run a lots of simulations.

**What do you dislike about Dymola?**

Modelica codes are little difficult to understand. Also the submodels which are compactible to using in model should be highlighed properly. During compiling the reason for a some errors are very difficult to identify. there should be proper highlighting of the reason and the submodel which is causing the error.

**Recommendations to others considering Dymola:**

Dymola is more an open source type software because we can edit its submodels using modelica coding. It was very helpful for my project. if you have similar works this software is perfect for you.

**What problems is Dymola solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I worked on Autombile Airconditioning works in Dymola. I used 2 phase library mainly. I worked on pipe models with 2 phase pressure drop calculations. My objective is to model a pipe which can calculate the pressure drop during 2 phase flow using existing pipe models in dymola. So, for that I done lots of literature reviews and i found lots of correlations for finding pressure drop in pipe for multiphase flow. As we can edit most sub models of Dymola, It was very helpful for my project.

**What do you like best about Dymola?**

Best part of using Dymola is one can simulate the mathematical models of the designs created.

We can also integrate real and virtual time scenarios to check our results.

Using its feature rich library, we can customise the components according to our requirement and can edit those models later also.

**What do you dislike about Dymola?**

lack of proper instructions and inadequate tutorials related to each and every feature of dymola which sometimes let user to spend more time on brainstorming and results in delayed the project.

System requirements are something that they should work upon.

**Recommendations to others considering Dymola:**

For real time simulations 

best suited for mathematical modelling

Also you can witness simulations by integrating other micro-controllers

**What problems is Dymola solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Integrating behavior modelling designs with dymola helps in we can visualize our models running in real and virtual environment. 

We were able to run few servo manipulators with the help of Dymola

Customised library for behavior modelling

Feature rich real time scenario 

Full execution of mathematical modelling of designs

Easy to control the manipulators using Fmi

Not able to grasp all the functioning of the software features.. 


Sometimes faced difficulty even accessing it

Use this software to control the servo as well as DC motors using micro-controller such as Atmega 328P

Best suited for real time simulations of the models

**What problems is Dymola solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We created a mechanical design having some kinematic functions and we have controlled all its links and joints by creating the behavior modelling. Later on with the help of fmi based feature we controlled all the real manipulators that is connected outside serially.

Content related to learning is very restricted as far as the knowledge is concerned.

System requirements are more and the need is to make changes by the editor

We were able to complete the kinematic motions of the manipulators very easily

Real to virtual and virtual to real is possible in that.

Digital twinning is possible in case of robots

Customised library to work and edit the behavior modelling

Need to analyse all the features before accessing it
Some of the things are so advanced that sometimes it lacks knowledge to use it

1. We were able to add motion and mechanism simulations in our designs. 
2. Thus very easy to visualize all the real time experience  of the automated systems.
3. Validation of such physical systems with our electronics
4. Able to add fmi of the micro-controller and hence able to see the working of manipulators.
5. Can easily be exported for future use

The very great feature that impressed me about Dymola how easily a user can create and customise their blocks according to the behaviour they requires.

More learning content should be provided

Write your requirement first. What you want to achieve using this tool. Create the blocks steps by steps.. Rectify and optimise your solution. Simulate it

**What problems is Dymola solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were intergrating an external micro-controller to get the values of sensor inside the fmi. For this we created all the required blocks in the behavior modelling and we successfully simulated it. We were able to run every analog sensors as well as a actuators in virtual as well as real environment

Its various online cloud tools for modeling, real time simulations, digital twining and IOT solutions.

**What do you dislike about Dymola?**

There is not much documentation is available for reference. Need to explore and find different tools while using software.

**Recommendations to others considering Dymola:**

Any designer who wants to make its product to use in real time like digital twin with IOT enabled solution then must use this tool. Just be sure to get proper info due to unavailability of proper documentation.

**What problems is Dymola solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I used Dymola for integrating my real time embedded system with IOT into my design. I recommend every designer to use this tool to make its design simulation more realtime.
