The search is lacking. If you don't tag items manually they can be hard to track down. Also, it cannot tell the difference between .ai files and .pdf files of the same name, nor can you visually see an InDesign file so it has to be downloaded to verify it's the right asset or to be reviewed or we use extra space to have PDFs uploaded for each InDesign file. Sharing files across internal and distributed creative teams and our vendors. We don't have a proper shared drive even at HQ, we use Teams, which isn't helpful for creative files and processes so this has been a great tool for us to share and review work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I've been having to resize/reposition my images when I bring them into templates that have a left or right border. It would be so much easier if the user could customize how the image gets placed (fit to space / fill space). Canto provides greater security with copyrights, maintaining file integrity, and transparency surrounding file ownership and use. Canto also makes searching for images across our many offices and services easy with metadata and AI search capabilities. Facial recognition is incredible and it's only going to improve over time. It solves the challenge of creating excellent videos in no time. Because you can use the AI video generator feature so you can have an engaging and professional video in seconds. If I had to pick a downside, is that sometimes it takes a bit of time to capture with SnagIt versus using the Win+Shift+S function that's defaulted in my computer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

There are two problems that SnagIt helps with. Number one, the ability to highlight or box important issues in an image for troubleshooting. There's no default app that has tools this readily available and transferrable to different programs on your computer. Number two, the ability to hide information. There are times I work with protected information that can't be omitted from the screenshot, so the blur feature is great for making the screen capture okay to share. ImageKit has solved two major issues for me: storage and optimization. Before, I struggled with storing a large number of high-resolution images directly on my server, which slowed everything down. ImageKit took that burden off my server by hosting and delivering the images efficiently. Additionally, the automatic resizing and optimization features have significantly improved my website’s performance. One of the reasons we chose Brandfolder was for its ability to integrate with Adobe software. However, the utilization of CI Hub is difficult and frankly we avoid using it. Most of the time we simply download the assets we need from the Brandfolder web UI. Either CI Hub needs a UI overhaul, or Brandfolder should look into another vendor for it's app integration. We have so many photos, videos, and illustrations that we utilize in our branding and other marketing efforts. Brandfolder has helped us organize it in such a way that we can easily find the asset we are looking for. In the past, you really had to know exactly where to look for something.

Searching can be time-consuming. Although the search function is useful, sometimes accessing specific assets requires precise tagging; and, if the tagging/ categorizing wasn't completed correctly or at all by the uploader, it quickly becomes much less helpful. Speed of locating assets, ability to preview almost any file type without having to have dedicated software native on a local machine, there is even web-based editing software. Organization of assets. AI generated Keyword population. Lower interaction between departments for content as team members get used to looking on the DAM (PIC.IO) first and just doing a quick query before sending an email or making a phone call as they have the same access as we do for finding such an asset.
