The search is lacking. If you don't tag items manually they can be hard to track down. Also, it cannot tell the difference between .ai files and .pdf files of the same name, nor can you visually see an InDesign file so it has to be downloaded to verify it's the right asset or to be reviewed or we use extra space to have PDFs uploaded for each InDesign file. Would be nice to be able to print directly from a file without downloading it first but I understand why that may not be feasable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Sharing files across internal and distributed creative teams and our vendors. We don't have a proper shared drive even at HQ, we use Teams, which isn't helpful for creative files and processes so this has been a great tool for us to share and review work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

1) I don't really understand how many video generation minutes will be accounted for when I generate video. Is there any formula? For me, this system is not obvious.

2) Pauses between scenes sometimes are too big and I don't know how to reduce them.

One thing I dislike about Animaker is that the platform can occasionally be laggy, especially when working on longer videos or more complex projects. When we ask for some specific changes that we would like to implement, sometimes these updates aren't possible to be excuted from Bynder's side. And this can be quite frustrating as this could be game changer for our specific business.

Bynder is a great tool to distribute assets with other parties. For instance we use it for internal as well as external purposes. And we know that this is a very safe way to send out assets. Also having the option to create different levels and groups to restrite what can be viewed is really beneficial. I've never shared anything I dislike about Canto, but I have to say I've found something! I'd like to share in hopes of improving this feature. Just recently, we were informed of an update in Canto's search feature due to an acquisition. The team was looking forward to an update since our designers as well as the marketing team searches a majority of the day for files on Canto. We were told it was an "amazing" update. Well, I'm quite disappointed in the update, as it seems much worse than the previous search feature. I've heard the same from several team members as well, and these are designers who are fluent with online platforms. I even submitted a help ticket to Canto one day and I was told how to use it, and how to filter things. Well, needless to say, I'm still having a lot of trouble. We use Canto software to store our final artwork and internal files, such as brand guidelines, images, logos, etc. It's a necessity to have everyone access all of this online instead of a local server, so anyone anywhere can access the files. We're able to quickly set up client portals for our clients to access, view or download their final art files with ease. Without a CMS like Canto we'd be lost a dozen or more times due to different designers working on the same projects, or having sync issues with Sharepoint. Canto has solved most all of our problems since we stopped using internal servers. Anyone with an internet connection can access any files with ease. We're no longer tied to outdated servers with outdated equipment. We're able to simply log in online to access everything we need. Vyond is useful but also has some limitations that can be frustrating. Although the interface is generally intuitive, some functions clearly lack ergonomics. For example, editing dialogues requires a complex key combination (CTRL-SHIFT-A), whereas a simple double-click on the soundtrack would be much more natural and convenient.

Moreover, although the richness of the library of pre-animated elements is impressive, it is necessary to have an advanced subscription to access the best features. This somewhat limits flexibility and creativity for those with a basic subscription, making the tool less accessible for users who would simply like to experiment or start with complete resources. There's not much wrong with Dash in terms of functionality and features, the biggest down side is the price. It has a reasonable ROI if used with care in terms of the range and quality of assets you upload, but do not look at this as a file storage system - more than a few gigabytes and you're talking $100's per month. Why do I use it? It's because I can bring my imagination to life. If I can think it, and imagine it, I can create it using After Effects. I think the most helpful thing about After Effects is that sometimes we need to visualize some ideas and product features, After Effects helps us here the most. Honestly, I can't really think of anything that I dislike...I looked into buying seat licenses for everyone in my company a while back but couldn't figure out how to do it through the website, so that's just a problem with the marketing not with the software itself. It seems like every single time that a new feature comes out that seems somewhat interesting it is snagged by the fact that it costs $$ to add. Even something like adding extra admins. Don't get me wrong, I understand the concept of why would you expect stuff for free; however it would be nice, while we already pay handsomely, if not every single thing has to be a price gouge. Give a little bit of a break, maybe develop more things for customers who are already paying a ton. Some addons IMO really don't feel as though they warrant being paid for. That's just one person's opinion. I will give bonus points for the fact that I've seen support react very quickly to bugs or glitches and patching the platform. Speed of locating assets, ability to preview almost any file type without having to have dedicated software native on a local machine, there is even web-based editing software. Organization of assets. AI generated Keyword population. Lower interaction between departments for content as team members get used to looking on the DAM (PIC.IO) first and just doing a quick query before sending an email or making a phone call as they have the same access as we do for finding such an asset. MediaValet allows us to manage or asset library. We can control access for internal users by providing access to different folders, and we can even share with external users without losing access control. The only thing that i dont like is that I sometimes have to scroll a lot because of all the information.

Sometimes the PIM is slow all the sudden.

In my job it is really important that all the information is in one place that is easy to oversee and filter. I have to keep track of all the individual features and components of our 800+ products. With the PIM everything stays neatly organized and I do not have a hard time finding the information that I need.
