Social selling is a sales strategy wherein salespeople use social media networks to interact with business prospects. The growing prominence of the strategy makes sense-- both salespeople and their prospects are likely engaging with social media on a daily basis, so the social approach allows salespeople to connect with their prospects in a less invasive way than cold calls or emails. Connecting socially breaks down some of the formal barriers between sales professionals and those they’re trying to sell to, creating an open channel for prospects to ask questions or for salespeople to share helpful content that a prospect may find valuable, even if they are not ready to buy yet. To excel at social selling, salespeople need to focus on building their personal brand and building trust amongst their social networks. It was able to provide us a clear overview of our entire sales pipeline and sales cycle with different stages. What do you like best about Sprout Social?

I've been using Sprout social for social media at my job for almost two years. In those two years, I've found the ease of use to be the thing about Sprout that makes logging in to be something I get excited about. Creating social posts to schedule out is quick and with as much as we use Sprout for social posts, it's also been interesting to explore the social listening tool for brand reputation and management. Sprout is great at helping the credit union I work for listen in for where we're mentioned on the web. I think this is a major benefit that has helped us as social media managers, as we've been preparing to merge with another credit union that is much larger than us. Even the main aspects are easy to find, it may be complicated to find some pieces of info because it depends on the implementation that the company did.

“Pains me to do this, but I do not recommend Hubspot anymore at all!”
What do you like best about HubSpot Marketing Hub?

So, it appears that I have to provide a more detailed description of my experiences with HubSpot for G2 to post my review. Okay, here it goes. The best part about HubSpot, in my opinion, was the CRM, it’s free, and because of this, I wanted to get into the platform more deeply. I signed up for the starter packages for all the services they offered. This, in turn started me down the path of using their system exclusively for my business. What do you dislike about HubSpot Marketing Hub?

This leads to what I dislike about HubSpot and the unfortunate decision to stop business with them and the platform. We had two hurricanes hit us in Florida, and for some reason, I found that I was logged out of my account on all devices. I have no clue how that could happen, but it is what it is. And, of course, my other administrator is here as well, so both of our power and internet were down for over 2-weeks. So, with that being said, I could not get signed into my account due to the two-factor authentication. So, I tried multiple times to get support to help me. Now, due to me only having the starter package, they would not support me on the phone, so this was done through email. Unfortunately, they could not understand that I was offline and could not log into my account. The support agents, as well as the agreements or subscription agent, kept telling me in order for them to help I needed to log in and create a support ticket. Unreal, they could not get the fact that I could not log in. So, this is why I no longer suggest using this platform unless you are ready to spend the big dollars so that you can get phone support! What do you like best about Simplified?

Simplified is robust. They have continued to add AI tools. They also make it easy to post to multiple accounts and have a healthy list of platforms a person can post to. I feel like they were one of the first social platforms to incorporate AI image generation and continue to attempt to innovate. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Simplified?

They have constantly changed their UX, names of what things within the system are called, where things are kept, and how things work. I will log in one week, create directions for my team in how to use the platform and the following week everything is different. And, when they change something, inevitably something is broken. It feels like someone in the company loves tweaking the main design constantly- but it keeps breaking small stuff in the system. And, many of the UX updates don't improve the system, they just make things more confusing and difficult to find/use.

For example, they have things called workspaces and team spaces. But, we were paying for "seats" and "social accounts". I kept asking them to explain what a "seat" is vs. a "teamspace", and they couldn't really answer and made it seem like I was dumb for asking. I tried to explain that they constantly were changing what things were called and how things were billed- but they made it seem like I was the idiot.

In the end, I really feel like they changed the terms of our yearly agreement. I wanted a large number of accounts available with a certain number of social accounts available for each account (teamspace). That was our agreement. But, then they changed things and moved to this "seat" concept and somehow I suddenly had way less access that I signed up for.

Is this a robust system- yes. But, watch out- they may continue to change your terms, change what things are called, and constantly tweak the UX. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Hootsuite?

A very easy to use and cost effective tool for most businesses looking to work in social and social listening. Ease of setup and team designations is very simple and user friendly. Support is very quick and effective (IF) you ever need them. The tool has withstood the test of time (devised initially as a direct competitor to Tweetdeck "Hoot" ), but was savvy enough to expand to many more use cases than a "one trick pony." What do you like best about Close?

Compared to (in my oppinion) cluttered CRMs like Pipedrive, Close is super user friendly. What i like the most is the beautiful ui, which is much more streamlined than most of the competition. Using close therefore is fun. When i ecountered problems, the mail-support was quick in helping me.

Another great advantage: the api is really good, via zapier we can connect and automate other software like Clickup, Perspective Funnels etc. best thing about it: the integrated mails. In close i got more overview regarding mails than in my mail app.

Lastly, integrated calling is nice to have. For me its not the biggest part of my job but beeing able to call from within close from time to time without the need to take out my phone and dial numbers is great!

Setting up close was pretty easy, the guide helped a lot.

What do you dislike about Close?

At first, the price tag seemed pretty high. But considering the calue, close delivers, im ok with that after all.

I Would have wished for maybe a call to set up everything, getting some tips and best pracises.

I love how the team can quickly search RSS feeds or content by keywords to schedule out our agency or client's social media! PLUS, the price per account and unlimited users is the BEST by far! They're always updating and improving their platform, adding the latest features that make social media management almost feel "easy". The deals feature is increibly intuative. We were able to roll AC out to our sales team who had stopped using any CRM 10 years prior. It was an easy trasition thanks to a beautiful interface, endless resources with the education center, and responsive customer support. ActiveCampaign is well suited to scale, too. What do you like best about Loomly?

My team absolutely loves Loomly due to its ability to cut down time tied to manually posting and allowing them to work months ahead. We fill up our calendars up to 2 months in advance and allow auto posting for pretty much every platform they allow.

On a personal level as the Director, I appreciate the ability to have stuff waiting in the queue until I review and approve it for posting. Through this feature, I have caught quite a few grammatical errors and misspellings from the team. I also appreciate the simplicity of integration. Nowadays, for some reason, similar platforms complicate things that can be so simple- I hope they continue to add new elements but keep everything as simple as possible for the user. Overall 8/10- gave a 8 instead of 10 because at the current moment of me writing this review, videos cannot be scheduled via Loomly and we are in a day and age where video content gets double the engagement, so of course for my marketing team, that sucks- we have to post the videos manually in real time and that is time that we of course feel like we should be saving, especially with the cost of Loomly. I am all for paying premium rates, but it has to make the utmost sense. That being said, we definitely should be able to schedule video content via Instagram and TikTok with how much we pay per year for Loomly.

All in all, AMAZING platform- just hope that video scheduling is integrated very soon without upping the already premium price, as it should be available now anyway. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Loomly?

Overall, the platform is amazing, but like I stated at the end of my review, video content is a very strong component of many marketing teams strategies. At the price we pay, we should be able to schedule video content for Instagram Reels and TikTok for up to at least 30 seconds/1 minute. While my team has been able to get around it by manually posting, I cannot guarantee that down the line this won't become a bigger issue (my team already complains about it quite a bit). I really hope this is integrated before our yearly subscription ends, as we may have to consider other platforms to assure our budget is being spent efficiently. However, if Loomly can get this integrated, the platform will definitely be a 10/10 and we will be here to stay! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Capsule CRM?

As a soletrader, Capsule CRM features all the benefits required to manage my client data and workflow and I use it on a daily basis. Further to this, is the fact that the free version offers everything I need. Obviously, if the business grows and staff are taken on, I'll need to upgrade to a paid plan but I'll be more than happy to do that based on my exeprience of the free plan. One of the biggest uses of this CRM for me is periodic reminders of annual website hosting expiry dates, ensuring my client is always invoiced at the right time each year. What do you like best about Synup?

We have been using Synup to effectively manage our listings information and our online reviews. Their customer support has been very helpful and available. We recently added Synup's pages app. Their team did an outstanding job with the design, matching our website's design. The app works smoothly and is a much more functional tool than our previous solution. Their team was responsive and worked with us to adjust and troubleshoot solutions to work with the limitations of our website. What do you like best about Instantly?

I like the fact that it is extremely user-friendly. The interface does not seem to be complicated at all. The analytics section is clear and accessible, and pulling data just seems so easy to use. Additionally I like the fact that the warming up feature has a lot of advanced settings you can tweak such as time between emails sent sent and their responses, email increase rate as well as the time between an email being sent and its response. What do you dislike about Instantly?

I guess the only thing is that there are some features like prioritizing new leads over sequences which are a bit pricey to use, but It's understandable as these features are extremely valuable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Instantly solving and how is that benefiting you?

Mainly, it is allowing us to contact businesses who we might call but they do not respond. Being able to send all of our call list emails greatly improves our rate of converting clients and making sure our outreach is effective.
