Social Selling Software

Typically, Social Selling is a capability of a variety of other G2 Software categories. See more below to select the

best Social Selling Software.

Social selling is a sales strategy wherein salespeople use social media networks to interact with business prospects. The growing prominence of the strategy makes sense-- both salespeople and their prospects are likely engaging with social media on a daily basis, so the social approach allows salespeople to connect with their prospects in a less invasive way than cold calls or emails. Connecting socially breaks down some of the formal barriers between sales professionals and those they’re trying to sell to, creating an open channel for prospects to ask questions or for salespeople to share helpful content that a prospect may find valuable, even if they are not ready to buy yet. To excel at social selling, salespeople need to focus on building their personal brand and building trust amongst their social networks. Salespeople should have fully fleshed out social profiles across a variety of networks related to their industry, then share truly valuable, informative information that prospects might find valuable (but that isn’t necessarily directly pushing a sale). A combination of software products can be used to optimize a social selling strategy. Software categories that can help facilitate social selling include social networks, social media management, social media monitoring, CRM, and Influencer Marketing.

“Good tool, provides interesting insights”
What do you like best about Sprout Social?

Sprout has everything you could possibly need from a social scheduling and reporting tool. It's fully fleshed out with so much opportunity. It helps both our social media specialist but also our brand campaign initiatives and we can pull reports for specific campaigns or topics - it's a huge step up from the manual way we were doing prior.

One thing we've more recently been playing around with is the social listening, which has helped beef up our brand reports and better track how we are comparing to competitors across the social landscape (and what the conversations are around). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Sprout Social?

Our onboarding was horrendous. It took over 2 months to schedule the meetings, and our rep changed in the middle without notice or much communication. Our new onboarding specialist didn't even know where we left off which was rather frustrating. We're finally on the platform, but still feel there is so much to know - hopefully we can take advantage of all the various tools within the platform!

There was quite a bit of a learning curve to the tool and implementing it among our team. However, we've got into a good rhythm, I just hope there's nothing we're missing out on!

We've been able to figure things out manually and I no longer have much contact with the account management team, I'm just a user. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Sprout Social solving and how is that benefiting you?

As Brand Manager, I am using the tool to get an idea of sentiment when people talk about Nasuni and how we can adapt or modify our messaging to best reach our customers. I also use the listening tools to ensure we are keeping up with our competitors and brand health, as well as campaign reporting for collaboration initiatives with our social team. “Robust CRM”
What do you like best about HubSpot Sales Hub?

It is very user-friendly, and dashboards and integrations are really easy to use even for people that never used it before. For my sales and marketing teams is a great tool to work together. Build the pipelines they need and connect all the data points. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about HubSpot Sales Hub?

I think the cost is a little bit high. Of course, I understand that it is a very complete and robust tool, however, for small companies it can be pricy Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is HubSpot Sales Hub solving and how is that benefiting you?

Our sales department is leveraging this tool to have their sales pipelines in place. Integrations with other tools + a centralized dashboard that connects all the data + automation features are the key points for them that make their job much easier to handle. Previously the team used project management tools, spreadsheets, and a lot of manual work to do all this. Now with Hubspot Sales Hub this is much easier for them. “Fantastic program for consolidating communications”
What do you like best about Salesforce Sales Cloud?

I think the best part about Salesforce Sales Cloud is the Einstein features. With these features the communications automatically sync into the platform from your email provider without much manual intervention. It was super easy to set this up and makes our daily communications sync in real time. I love being able to open up an account and see all of our interactions with those clients stored in one place. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Salesforce Sales Cloud?

I can't think of many things I dislike, the only downsides are hidden upsides. There is a ton of customization available in the platform which is as great as it is tedious and time consuming. The support team is amazing in helping with this though, so there is really no downside. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Salesforce Sales Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?

Salesforce Sales Cloud is helping us create a repository for all of our client communication. We previously just had it all stored in our personal phones and emails and Salesforce is helping us consolidate it all into one place so we have an ongoing record of all of our communication. “Hubspot for the win”
What do you like best about HubSpot Marketing Hub?

Hubspot is very user friendly, especially compared to other tools like Salesforce/Pardot. I love that's in an all-in-one tool and that your data is right there. It makes it easy to segment when taking marketing actions. It's also pretty easy to implement, and if anything, there are many ways to contact the customer support team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about HubSpot Marketing Hub?

The social media module is a great idea, but it's not developed enough, so it can't yet replace a real social media scheduler tool. The concept of "marketing contacts" also makes it much harder to manage than before. It should at least come with pre-made workflows that are easy to customize for who should be a marketing contact or not. The email templates also have limited features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is HubSpot Marketing Hub solving and how is that benefiting you?

Consolidating everything in one place is amazing. Having your data right where you take marketing actions makes it really easy to segment who to target, and then report on results. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Very Capable but Somewhat Lacking Social Media Management Tool”
What do you like best about SOCi?

I appreciate how SOCi centralizes social media management across multiple locations. It makes scheduling content easier and more efficient, and the analytics provide useful insights to help guide decisions. The platform has potential to be a great tool with its focus on streamlining processes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SOCi?

I find SOCi to be a bit rigid in its functionality. It doesn’t offer the flexibility I need to manage social media effectively. Some features feel limiting, and I often find myself wishing for more robust capabilities. It also seems to lack certain key tools that would enhance its usability and make it more effective for day-to-day management. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is SOCi solving and how is that benefiting you?

SOCi helps me manage both social media and local listings across multiple locations in one centralized platform. This saves me time by streamlining the scheduling and posting process, ensuring consistency across channels. The analytics are also helpful for understanding performance and making data-driven decisions, which allows me to focus on higher-level strategies instead of being bogged down by repetitive tasks. “Constant Changing UX- more robust- more confusing”
What do you like best about Simplified?

Simplified is robust. They have continued to add AI tools. They also make it easy to post to multiple accounts and have a healthy list of platforms a person can post to. I feel like they were one of the first social platforms to incorporate AI image generation and continue to attempt to innovate. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Simplified?

They have constantly changed their UX, names of what things within the system are called, where things are kept, and how things work. I will log in one week, create directions for my team in how to use the platform and the following week everything is different. And, when they change something, inevitably something is broken. It feels like someone in the company loves tweaking the main design constantly- but it keeps breaking small stuff in the system. And, many of the UX updates don't improve the system, they just make things more confusing and difficult to find/use.

For example, they have things called workspaces and team spaces. But, we were paying for "seats" and "social accounts". I kept asking them to explain what a "seat" is vs. a "teamspace", and they couldn't really answer and made it seem like I was dumb for asking. I tried to explain that they constantly were changing what things were called and how things were billed- but they made it seem like I was the idiot.

In the end, I really feel like they changed the terms of our yearly agreement. I wanted a large number of accounts available with a certain number of social accounts available for each account (teamspace). That was our agreement. But, then they changed things and moved to this "seat" concept and somehow I suddenly had way less access that I signed up for.

Is this a robust system- yes. But, watch out- they may continue to change your terms, change what things are called, and constantly tweak the UX. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Simplified solving and how is that benefiting you?

We signed up for Simplified because it offered a robust social media management platform at an affordable price. We were able to manage our social media for many of our users. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Hootsuite and Amplify have transformed our social media presence here at Keyloop!”
What do you like best about Hootsuite?

Hootsuite has enabled us to effectively plan, organize, and share our content. As a Digital Marketing Manager, I have been able to showcase our value on social media. Furthermore, the Amplify platform has empowered our sales team to confidently share content on their social channels, leading to an increase in website visitors and lead inquiries. The implementation of the platform was straightforward, and the customer support has been exceptional. We are very pleased with our Account Management team, who have provided us with the support we need to achieve our corporate goals. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Hootsuite?

The only downside so far is that we cannot add thumbnails to videos posted natively on our social platforms like LinkedIn, but we can include them in our Amplify posts. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Hootsuite solving and how is that benefiting you?

Hootsuite has simplified the management of all our social channels. We can now easily monitor, track, and schedule content with just a few clicks. “A Supportive, Collaborative Effort”
What do you like best about Afluencer?

I really like working with new companies that support my interests, and supporting their efforts by promoting their brand. And they support my efforts to improve the lives of shelter dogs by offering free products or financial pay that supports the field trips we take the dogs on. Afluencer provides a place where these companies and I can come together to find each other and do just that. It is easy to use and find matches. It is easy to apply and work with the company through the message portal. I love the ability to manage how often I am notified about new collab matches. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Afluencer?

I think that Afluencer is confusing to companies. They sometimes put very high follower requirements, and so I am unable to apply for the collaboration. I've reached out directly via their email a couple of times, and they are happy to work with me and say they didn't realize the follower count was so restrictive. I have also tried to work with customer support because I am unable to put my address in, but no one ever responded to me. I know these are kinks that will be worked out as Afluencer grows! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Afluencer solving and how is that benefiting you?

I am not interested in a ton of affiliate marketing, but companies only seem to offer those types of collaborations on their websites in the form of Brand Ambassadors. On Afluencer, I can find companies that want me to promote a video a few times in exchange for a product or inexpensive financial payout without feeling like I am having to "sell" to my followers. “Convenient Time Saver for your Social Media Marketing Pursuits”
What do you like best about Vista Social?

I was looking for a social media marketing tool that can help me in posting contents in social media for my personal business as well as the small businesses of my clients as a digital marketing freelancer. I stumbled upon Vista Social after seeing good reviews online - and it did not disappoint!

Vista Social is easy to use even for beginners. Setting up is a breeze as I was guided on the next steps in setting it up until I finish the tasks. I was able to connect my brand and my clients' brands quickly to our different social media accounts or profiles - Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Reddit, Pinterest, Snapchat, X, Tiktok, YouTube, and more.

Since each social media platform has a different process in posting content, the interface informs me about missing pieces so I can successfully post across different social media platforms (e.g. exceeding number of characters, which board or subreddit should the post belong, etc).

I also appreciate the email notifications from Vista Social when a post run into problems or if it is unsuccessfully sent. I can also schedule it at a later date and line up in a queue. I also get notified when there's a review on our business across the social media platforms which helps me respond quickly, either to thank the person who reviewed or communicate a solution if it's not a good review.

And it's not just social media, I can also integrate Vista Social with my cloud storage, communication, analytics tracking and other apps helpful to my business. There are more features that I haven't explored yet. Pricing is quite competitive and it also has a 14-day free trial so one can test it out first before committing to a subscription plan. It's one tool that can help businesses and one that I can recommend. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Vista Social?

Nothing much - just make sure that the social media accounts you will be connecting to Vista Social are properly set up. There was just a time when I tried to integrate a newly opened social media account and connecting it with Vista Social just kept on loading. I wish there was an instant prompt if the connection won't be successful and an action step on what should be done. Anyway it's easy to figure it out and one can get the hang of it easily and it only happened to a newly created account. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Vista Social solving and how is that benefiting you?

It saves me time by posting (and scheduling) in just one platform but will be shown across different social media platforms instead of logging in and posting one by one on each. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Professional CRM”
What do you like best about ActiveCampaign?

As I fill out this survey, it's interesting that it still showed my old (and quite negative) review that I'm now typing over. Makes me wonder if the old one ever got posted - though I did receive my gift card for writing the review.

The good news is that AC has improved since the last review. They finally seem to have focused on core improvements that affect the average user such as myself rather than blatantly catering to high end corporate accounts.

They offer solid tools for automation and contact relations that allow me to engage with my audience, make offers and track their responses and activity. Basically, the things you would want and expect from a high end CRM. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ActiveCampaign?

While they've improved considerably since my last review, I think there are ways they could be better. While improving many of the core features, there are many areas that lack an intuitive approach. So even if you think you understand what a particular function does - especially if you've seen similar functions in another service - it's best to double check with online tech support (which is usually helpful) to make sure it's going to work the way you think it will.

My main browser is Safari, and for whatever reason, AC continues to not want to support Safari, and simply won't function well in many critical areas - forcing me to use Chrome for it to work properly. A bit of a PIA. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is ActiveCampaign solving and how is that benefiting you?

I use ActiveCampaign as my CRM. As my list grows, I use their automations to welcome new subscribers and email campaigns to maintain contact, share valuable content and alert them to upcoming offers. I teach online webinars and virtual courses, and use automations to send sequences of emails based on various parameters of how people interact with the courses. This saves a lot of time without having to manually track what everyone is doing. My contacts also get tagged based on their interests and what courses they have purchased, allowing me to customize what communications get sent to each individual.

When it works, it's great. But there have been issues that have worked against me, and that's frustrating. The interface isn't always intuitive, some important settings are not in obvious places and can be missed, and the results of this can be very counterproductive. I've also learned that asking for support through email is basically useless in these instances and to always use the chat - which sometimes means waiting until its available if it's offline when you need it.

Many of the things in the list of "select all that apply" are things that I either use very little or not at all because there are simply other tools outside of AC that work considerably better and are easier/more intuitive to use. Things like the email template builder and the landing page builder. While they've improved these things, there are still aspects of it all that are quite arcane. It's difficult to understand that with the teams they have to develop these features that they can't bring them up to level of ease, intuitiveness and function that other more dedicated platforms provide. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“I'm a content creator and use I agencies such as inBeat to connect with brands looking for content!”
What do you like best about inBeat?

I appreciate the positive attitude from the inBeat team! When I'm looking to partner with brands and find work, the very first thing I focus on is the communication from the PR or marketing reps involved, because communication is absolutely key. The person I was talking to was Fatima, and she responded on time, was helpful and considerate. :) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about inBeat?

Unfortunately, the rates offered to me for the deliverables was significantly lower than my usual rates for such content and collaborations. Due to the time, effort and expenses that go into my business, this makes it difficult to create content sustainably. However, I am still open to future opportunities as I appreciate the communication and effort. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is inBeat solving and how is that benefiting you?

inBeat plays a valuable role in connecting the right brands with the right creators, acting as a "middleman" between them. One notable downside of Zoho Social is the difficulty in tagging individuals or businesses on certain platforms, particularly LinkedIn. What do you dislike about Zoho CRM?

What problems is Zoho CRM solving and how is that benefiting you?

We map our customers' requests to the corresponding vendors. This requires a lot of back-and-forth communication between customers and vendors. Keeping tabs on every communication can become messy and can go out of sync pretty much at any time. Zoho CRM helps us maintain the sync. The Kanban board is our go-to solution. “Functional and Budget Friendly”
What do you like best about Loomly?

I like how functional the calendar view is. It makes it easy to draft out concepts and change up the order by drag and drop before going into each post and writing out/uploading content. I also appreciate the ability to create custom tags for each post, so I know exactly what type of content I am posting each week at a quick glance without having to open up everything. The collaboration tools are also helpful - sending posts for approval and making comments. The ability to schedle posts in advance 30+ days is awesome.

One of the primary reasons for choosing Loomly was how budget friendly it is. Similar well-known platforms are double or triple the price for practically the same services. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Loomly?

I wish there was a way to schedule multiple story slides at one time. This forces me to create/upload my content in Loomly, send for approval, and "schedule" but still having to go into Meta Business Suite and post my stories from there (which usually puts them out of order). What problems is Loomly solving and how is that benefiting you?

“The perfect CRM to start and scale with”
What do you like best about Capsule CRM?

Capsule wins for me on the cost of entry, both in terms of finance but more importantly in terms of the learning curve. You can get teams using it very quickly because it is very straightforward, but still quite feature-rich. That's why it has been the CRM system I've introduced in a few businesses now, and I continue to use it in my current business with a distributed team. The sales pipeline gives useful visualisation and the project boards are very handy too. Customer support has always been absolutely first class with real humans answering emailed queries very rapidly, and this further enhances the ease of onboarding. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Capsule CRM?

Capsule might not be the right CRM for your whole growth cycle. It reaches a point where customisation becomes difficult and off the shelf integrations might not tick all of your boxes. This isn't so much a criticism of the platform, more an acknoweldgement of where it sits in the range of available options. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Capsule CRM solving and how is that benefiting you?

We use Capsule for three main purposes.

1. Tracking new business enquiries through to sales completion

2. Managing our marketing databases for email and events

3. Managing project workflows such as onboarding new partners

The visualisation of sales and project workflows and the ease with which these can be customised, and specific action sequences embedded is really powerful. And the forecasting and analytics tools in the higher subscription brackets are also valuable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
