While I’m a big fan of Instantly.ai, I want to keep things balanced and not come across as a total fangirl. If I had to nitpick, the user interface for uploading contacts could use some refinement. As a solo operator, I find it manageable, but it’s a bit clunky—even for me. I can only imagine how tedious it might feel for a team juggling a larger volume of leads. That said, it’s entirely possible my struggles are self-inflicted, so take this critique with a grain of salt.

Since I’m focused on cold outreach and manually sourcing email lists, I’ve streamlined the process by uploading just the email addresses into Instantly. I keep all the extra contact details—names, notes, etc.—in a separate Google Sheet. When I get a response, I simply pull up my sheet to reference who they are. Trying to sync a full customer profile across my Google Sheet, CRM, and Instantly felt like a giant time sink. Now, I just focus on what matters: sending emails and managing replies. The social media module is a great idea, but it's not developed enough, so it can't yet replace a real social media scheduler tool. The concept of "marketing contacts" also makes it much harder to manage than before. It should at least come with pre-made workflows that are easy to customize for who should be a marketing contact or not. The email templates also have limited features. ActiveCampaign has made significant improvements recently, which is great to see. However, many of the integrations depend on Zapier, so if you don’t use Zapier, you may find yourself needing to set up a lot of custom configurations. Additionally, the integration with Dynamics 365 could use some refinement. Lastly, there are still some quirks in the system. For example, if you add someone to the exclusion list using their full email address and they are later added back to a list via automation, they are automatically removed from the exclusion list. We have had integration issues with Dynamics 365 and have been working with Active campaign to resolve it - but have not had a ton of luck -that said it could be more of an issue with dynamics than AC. There's nothing I particularly disliked about Braze, however there were areas where I can see room for future updates. User experience could be improved in terms of organisation of canvases. We heavily used tags but it wasn't always easy to find where things were kept. We get a lot of "bot clicks/ghost clicks" so our reporting is never truly accurate... which means we can't create accurate segmentation lists based on what people click on :( Plus, a lot of our members say my emails end up in their spam folders, which is not helpful when we want people to know about what events we are hosting.

The AI features could be helpful for some, but for us, it never generates good content we want to use.

There isn’t much to criticise, but I did find the newsletter design interface a bit tricky to get to grips with at first. Brevo has helped us create marketing emails and get them to our supporters without being caught in spam filters, particularly with the recent changes to Google etc. Brevo’s tools and guidance have enable us to move to online marketing as opposed to use of printed material which is where we were at the end of 2023.

We use Textedly to communicate with our customers for a once a year event. This makes it hard for our business to fit in with their subscription model in a natural way as we end up not using the resources year round. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Textedly is solving the problem of communicating with a large group of people to give them important information about their orders and delivery and scheduled shifts. I find it easier to work in the Persona space of Apollo.io. Trying to do single Company name searches is a little trickier for me. Maybe there is an easier way to do that I just have not been able to figure that out yet. Many of those searches took too much time and I am looking for speed in finding bigger lists with verified emails.

Still, I am able to get what I need to do my job effectively. That's all that matters. It's better than what we had before. I cannot say that I am getting lots of return responses. Before finding the right contacts to good leads was very difficult. It was like walking in the dark trying to find something. This is the complaint I have sumbitted to mailchimp compliance. Let see how they handle it. "I am contacting MailChimp regarding a serious issue with the onboarding process, where a Mailchimp employee, Kathleen, took control of my screen and submitted an SMS application without my permission. This behavior is illegal and unethical. I am questioning if Mailchimp employees are incentivized for SMS sign-ups or if this fraudulent activity goes higher up than that. I see the company was purchased recently by Intuit. There is complete lack of transparency on the website regarding token charges without providing the information to customer until after they signed up.

Considering a huge breach of trust I am concerned about other business information being used without authorization, such as unauthorized access to my social media accounts, potential data theft, being locked out of certain features so I can't protect myself, and more. I am demanding a complete termination of our business relationship and full refund within 1 day before filing with the Attorney General and the BBB. ContactPigeon helps us manage a consistent marketing activity flow, contributing to many of our monthly orders. The platform also helps greatly with campaign management and makes it easy to create tailored and efficient marketing messages. earlier we used to relay completely on the old email technique of sending campaign via google which involves in great manpower and hardware equipment which is now made simpler with this single software we have reduced hours of the manual work as in this software we can customize our mail campaign and that's all everything software will take care. I really didn't like the fact that during the trial period they make it very limited when it comes to sending emails, and that they reduce the number of days of testing. You can't habe a business today without email, at least not a successful one. So this solves a huge need for my business. Also, as I am a new startup, it is at a budget concious price.
