“Easy to Use, Simple Onboarding, Great Support!”
What do you like best about AuditBoard?

I like that AuditBoard is very intuitive to use. It is flexible in terms of meeting the needs of our audit process, but is clearly built by a team with a strong understanding of auditing. We only use a couple of modules, but the success with those has lead to discussion about how the broader tool can be used. Their support has been very responsive and helpful with our needs as we work to get the most out of the tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about AuditBoard?

As with any newer tool, some of the kinks get worked out in real time. There have been a few updates pushed out that have changed some of the dashboards utilized. The communication was a little unclear, but we've been able to respond to the change. Additionally, the tiered pay structure limits what you have access to, so if cost is prohibitive, you may not get the full capabilities of the tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is AuditBoard solving and how is that benefiting you?

Auditboard is giving us visual insights into our audit processes, while helping us streamline our existing process. The tool is very flexible and gives access to the backend data for reporting and project tracking. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Vena is Excel on steroids”
What do you like best about Vena?

Nothing. Everything in Vena takes a lot of time to set up and do. Customer Service is great and very responsive so I am going to give them this. The product is awful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Vena?

I am not sure where to start with what I dislike about the platofrm but I almost want to say everything. Vena is designed from the ground up to be a complicated platform. Dont expect the platform to be intuitaive or you can do anything on your own from the first time. It is a steep, a really steep learning curve.

If you are an experianced Vena user, it takes you anywhere between 30 min for easy reports to a few days to set up a report, FPA model or budget. Since Vena is based on Excel, you will inhernent all the limitations of Excel with it.

The integration they claim is really a data connector to your ERP. It's a 180 (one way ) degree integration, you can't push back the budget to your ERP. They don't integrate with any payroll providers, so all updates are manually done.

The dashboard they claim to have is basically is power bi embedded into Vena. You have to know how to write DAX formulas to really do anything with it.

During the sale or demo, they're going to make it seem very easy to do anything. Just ask them to set up a report in front of you from the start or ask them to deactivate the flags to uncover the complicated set up.

My recemndation is that you stay away, go with a web based platform. You will save yourself a lot of time, efforts and money. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Vena solving and how is that benefiting you?

Vena has complicated our process even way before we had Vena. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Transforming Compliance and Security Management with Scrut Automation”
What do you like best about Scrut Automation?

Scrut Automation has significantly streamlined our compliance and security processes. The platform's user-friendly interface, comprehensive dashboard, and intuitive automation features make managing frameworks like ISO 27001, SOC 2, and GDPR effortless. I particularly appreciate the automated evidence collection, which saves hours of manual work and reduces the risk of human error. The integrations with our existing tools (like AWS, Slack, and Jira) were seamless, ensuring all our data sources are covered. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Scrut Automation?

While Scrut Automation is a powerful tool, the initial setup can be a bit overwhelming, especially for teams new to compliance management software. However, their customer support team is very responsive and helpful, which made the onboarding process smoother. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Scrut Automation solving and how is that benefiting you?

Before adopting Scrut Automation, our compliance processes were disjointed and time-consuming, relying heavily on spreadsheets and manual tracking. Scrut has centralized our compliance management, making it easier to stay audit-ready year-round. The automated alerts and task assignments help our team stay proactive rather than reactive, ensuring we address compliance gaps before they become issues. This has not only improved our security posture but also enhanced our trust with clients, resulting in a smoother compliance journey and quicker audit cycles. Drivetrain has transformed the way we operate on a daily basis! It has saved us hours each week, allowing our team to focus on high-priority work instead. Accessing and analyzing data is now seamless; everything is centralized and easy to retrieve, which has greatly improved our decision-making process. I highly recommend Drivetrain for anyone looking to implement an FP&A tool or a tool which easily consolidates data! The ease of implementation was top notch! Drivetrain is used by our team daily for planning, reporting and modeling.

The integration process was easy and seamless. We have a lot of systems integrated; QB, Zoho, Databricks, SFDC & Bamboo. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Mosaic for Budgeting and Reporting”
What do you like best about Mosaic Tech?

Mosaic has a very clean interface that allows for great connectivity to SFDC, Netsuite and Maxio creating a command center and source of truth for the entire organization. The Canvas workspace allows for quick and easy adhoc analysis and allows the functional leaders to get near real-time info that helps everyone row in the same direction based on the same set of data. Getting connected to Netsuite, SFDC and Maxio was very quick which allowed for validation of actual reporting info. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Mosaic Tech?

Nothing really. We just went live with the solution and are in the middle of our FY25 Budget preparation, so still learning about all of the capabilities. The formula syntax is very much like excel, so it has been fairly easy to make the transition. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Mosaic Tech solving and how is that benefiting you?

Budgeting and Forecasting across a larger organization, along with monthly reporting and analysis. Mosaic is helping ensure the accuracy of the budgeting process by eliminating the risk and access controls involved in using a shared excel template. It also is eliminating cycles of time in the month-end review process by giving department and expense owners the required info they need to manage their function with the level of detail to avoid cycles of back and forth Q&A with the accounting team. “Anaplan continues to improve for Sales Planning”
What do you like best about Anaplan?

Anaplan's platform continues to evolve in an incredible way. Just in the last 18 months, the following has released: app native workflow, build in data management, AI, brand new tech that builds models for you ("T&Q app"). It's changing what you expect from an EPM tool Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Anaplan?

Anaplan's pricing can be confusing and opaque. This is due to an evolving platform, technology, and GTM model. Customers from just 3 years ago may have completely different expectations on pricing and that can cause friction. However, the GTM model had to change - the platform, which did not drastically change from 2014-2022, has received an incredible overhaul in terms of technical functionality, and old pricing models did no capture that at all. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Anaplan solving and how is that benefiting you?

I will specifically answer this question regarding the territory and quota (T&Q) use case. T&Q represents a widespread, needed-everywhere planning problem but it doesn't have any of its own big software players. The reason is that Anaplan is so well-suited to the use case, that you'd waste your time trying to create a bespoke competitor. And Anaplan's offering is only strengthening.

T&Q has the hallmarks needs of planning: nuanced, many disparate data sets, very large data sets, operational and financial considerations, many distributed stakeholders, and consistent collaboration. Anaplan checks each of those boxes an we see it at our customers. Our customers tell us they love a prescriptive approach that they still can own (the new T&Q app comes out of the box), where they can merge what they love about their current process with the best-in-class they need. These streamlined T&Q apps help our customers create fairer territories with better account scoring, build better quotas to set the right incentives and reach the right attainment curve, and do it all significantly faster. Our happiest customer now deploys territories and quota before the yera begins when it previously took them until 6 weeks into Q1. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Delivering business value through an intuitive interface”
What do you like best about Apliqo?

Apliqo is built from its foundations with the end user experience in mind. It offers an intuitive interface, place on top of any type of business problem for planning and reporting.

It can integrate Excel input in the same front end, so end users can decide if they want to prepare data outside of the web-front end and load their results, or work directly in the tool. This combination allows users the freedom they need and desire to work in a way that suits them best.

The ideas behind the applications are always aimed towards ease of maintenance, a uniform look and feel and a do-it-yourself approach where IT involvement is limited to a minimum and business users can be autonoumous. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Apliqo?

It is a not a drag-and-drop tool for do it yourself dashboarding. But it is also not intended to be this. The target of Apliqo is rolling out applications to a group of end users that can get going without the need for extensive trainings. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Apliqo solving and how is that benefiting you?

We mainly use Apliqo (both UX and FPM) for internal reporting. We use it for our day-to-day timesheets, our (financial) month end close, dashboarding and reporting.

The operational model is tracking our projects on a day-to-day basis, provinding an overview of budgets-to-date, time spent (hours/days), expenses tracking. Our users are entering information on a daily basis.

For the financial closing we are currently utilising the P&L/Balance sheet reporting layer across our region, based on input from various countries, coming from different data sources (accounting systems).

Everything gets harmonized through a common mapping to a uniform group layer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Game Changer!”
What do you like best about LiveFlow?

LiveFlow is the product we've been dreaming of! It gives us the ability to share current, accurate financials with key players without the need to login or even have access to our accounting software.

We can show a consolidated view of all companies in our portfolio even though each has a separate QuickBooks company. I also love that we can group any companies together into individual workspaces to customize reports for each unique leader. It also allows custom reporting to show uniquely selected pieces of the GL. Furthermore, being able to drill into the numbers to see the data and seamlessly click into QuickBooks if necessary is incredibly helpful!

The onboarding process was fantastic as well. High level of support and follow up. They even had a member of the dev team join to learn ways they may be able to increase value and meet the needs of their customers. Honestly super impressed with everyone on the team, their knowledge and goal to be the highest value product they can be. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about LiveFlow?

Mapping the GL accounts on set up is slighly time consuming but even this aspect is reasonable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is LiveFlow solving and how is that benefiting you?

LifeFlow allows us to provide detailed and up the the minute financials to key players in the organization that don't live in QuickBooks like the finance team does. “A transformative tool”
What do you like best about Abacum?

Abacum is a transformative tool for us as we scale out our organization. It was easy to use and started providing value within days of kicking off implementation. It is intuitive but also powerful, which can be a difficult line to walk. It is allowing us to democratize our financial data and empower internal planning. The Abacum team is responsive and customer-oriented, but my favorite thing about the tool is that they're often not required — it's user-friendly for even those of us not overtly trained in data management but rather focused on the business KPIs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Helping us to Stay on Track”
What do you like best about AchieveIt?

Achieve has been a great way for our department to keep regular track of our progress and to evaluate where we are at and where we will need to be going ahead.

It is easy to login each month and see where we have been and compare last month's progress to this.

AchieveIt has also helped me to be accountable for looking at data each month instead of leaving it to "when there is time in my schedule." Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about AchieveIt?

One thing that has been challenging for me to get used to about monthly reporting is what to do when our numbers go down in a month instead of in an upward trajectory. One way to mitigate this is the emphasis on both a general progress and a numerical report. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Great program, but I have a long wish list”
What do you like best about Solver?

*I can rely on Solver as a tool to get financial reporting done.

*The API to powerBI has worked flawlessly so far.

*User's ability to load their forecasts and budgets directly into the scenario.

*Security is easy to implement

*Security settings staying constant throughout all the different modules e.g., reporting archive, input template, etc.

*I like the role that was created in Solver for more technical customer support without having to escalate questions/needs e.g., Steve Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Solver?

*Data Explorer's load time is slow. I'd like the initial view limited to 100 records to speed it up.

*Unable to control the report archive for my users. I want to be able to delete reports in their archive, similar to being an admin in a workspace.

*Parameter naming is inflexible. I had an issue where a previous report creator was using 'periods' and I was using 'period'. This created a confusing extra period filter in the report archive for users. To fix this, I had to delete the old parameter out of every report and setup a new paramter. Then I had to publish the report to the report archive and now my users have 2x the report because I can't control their archive space.

*Default LID entry in input templates. My users think it's clunky and they constantly make mistakes while using it e.g., leaving the last column cell blank & somehow breaking it by putting a value in the main line (even though I thought that wasn't supposed to be possible... they found a way to break it). I then have to clear out everything, save, and re-enter in the LID section.

*Solver is very slow sometimes or has issues fetching drill-down data or it fails. I'd like to have an indication of when Solver is experiencing a slowdown or issues.

*Customizing a drill-down in a report is cumbersome.

*No way to 'view as' a role. In many programs I admin, I can 'view as' a role so I can interact with the program the way the user is enabled to.

*Auto-save feature for input templates. I had 2 users enter their budgets and not his save this cycle.

*Overhaul the look and UI experience of input templates. I had some users complain that it wasn't "slick looking"... I get that it's Excel, so maybe at least Learning Academy courses on beautifying a report template and best practices for the user experience.

*Maybe I missed this option, but there is no way (?) to get a summary of my publisher jobs for the day so I can see what ran or did not run easily.

*Lack of user community. With many other software programs, users can respond and try to help others, and then an official representative of the software responds occasionally. The Solver community forum is a borderline ghost town.

*Need the ability to lock roles in the planning security section instead of having to lock the entire scenario down

*Metrics on how often reports are viewed and by what users Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Solver solving and how is that benefiting you?

Solver enables our company to quickly build up its future financial picture. Since the department heads can enter their budgets and forecasts directly into Solver, we get the information ASAP. This helps our executive team intervene if necessary, informs their decision-making, and helps them with their plan. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Flexible data visualizatoin and analysis tool with world-class onboarding and continued support”
What do you like best about Datarails?

Datarails is a flexible tool that lets me pull in data from disparate sources and construct easy-to-understand charts/graphs/data visualizations to quickly and easily communicate important findings with my team. I can schedule reports to be sent out at regular intervals and limit who sees what data. Best of all, Datarails has continued to support my implementation with expert assistance helping me to replicate my previous KPI package within the Datarails environment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Datarails?

When I first starting using Datarails, there was a fairly steep learning curve. However, I've had expert assistance from the Datarails team throughout my onboarding from Datarails experts who have helped me accomplish my goals. At times, we have run into system limitations but those have become future improvements on the Datarails roadmap, such as the recently released year-over-year comparison option. And while my learning curve was steep, I've seen recent updates that have made the system more user-friendly so I suspect future newbies will have an easier time getting fully up to speed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Datarails solving and how is that benefiting you?

Datarails has provided an easily-implemented solution to my GL's greatest weakness - reporting. Instead of my array of spreadsheets and Google Slides that I previously used to share monthly KPIs with my leadership team (which all required manual updating every month), I now have a slick, automated tool that accomplishes hours of work instantly. While we primarily use Datarails for reporting and looking backwards, I'm excited by the opportunity to implement some budgeting and forecasting use cases as well. However, HyperProof is fixing this issue, and the reason why it is important as a user to test everything in the sandbox before doing anything in the production enviroment. “Great Customer Service, Visualization, Clear Comprehensive Dashboards, and Easy to Use”
What do you like best about Essential ERM?

Essential ERM is an excellent tool that enables us to engage our business unit leaders effectively, seamlessly aligning our enterprise risks with our strategic objectives. It is an easy-to-use, easy-setup, and flexible system with excellent customer service. The visualization capabilities and clear, comprehensive dashboards make monitoring and managing risks straightforward. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Essential ERM?

It is just my personal preference for the future, but possible integration with Power BI to automate reporting would be a valuable enhancement. However, the system does provide comprehensive data analysis itself. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Essential ERM solving and how is that benefiting you?

Firstly, the product provides great customer service and a comprehensive knowledge base. This was crucial for us because, during the setup stage, especially since it was the first time for our organization, we lacked experience using the platform. The company offers various training sessions, guidance, personal support, and excellent in-system support for any questions. Additionally, the program is easy to use; we easily engaged our leaders and used the voting option online during our meetings. The product is well-designed to bring all the pieces together and monitor the progress of risk mitigation.

Essential ERM addresses several critical issues. The system effectively tracks and manages incidents, linking them to risks, controls, and action plans, which enhances our organizational response and mitigation strategies. Moreover, it aligns enterprise risks with strategic objectives, ensuring that business unit leaders and executives are effectively engaged. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Visualizing our budgets and forecasts, and moving them between Excel and NetSuite. It lets us plan for the next year easily, by creating budgets and comparing them against last year's budget, performance, or even another hypothetical budget. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
