What do you dislike about HubSpot Sales Hub?

Everyday I feel like I encounter new bugs with the platform. For instance, today I had to refresh my Sales Hub to make each incremental phone call since it would not load. There's always a new bug with the platform, some days worse than others.

Also, not sure why updates (to lists, sequence enrollments etc.) show up 15-30 seconds delayed, but it always makes me second guess if I've done something correctly or not. As someone who is meticulous about organization and outreach procedure, Hubspot is incredibly limited for enriching data with custom fields and using those in outreach efforts. I've been using the platform for just over 2 months, and I have an entire Google doc where I vent about frustrating experiences on the platform. It's fine if it's a one-off thing, but as I'm repetitively prospecting, these tiny details really get annoying.

What do you like best about ActiveCampaign?

As I fill out this survey, it's interesting that it still showed my old (and quite negative) review that I'm now typing over. Makes me wonder if the old one ever got posted - though I did receive my gift card for writing the review.

The good news is that AC has improved since the last review. They finally seem to have focused on core improvements that affect the average user such as myself rather than blatantly catering to high end corporate accounts.

They offer solid tools for automation and contact relations that allow me to engage with my audience, make offers and track their responses and activity. Basically, the things you would want and expect from a high end CRM. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ActiveCampaign?

While they've improved considerably since my last review, I think there are ways they could be better. While improving many of the core features, there are many areas that lack an intuitive approach. So even if you think you understand what a particular function does - especially if you've seen similar functions in another service - it's best to double check with online tech support (which is usually helpful) to make sure it's going to work the way you think it will.

My main browser is Safari, and for whatever reason, AC continues to not want to support Safari, and simply won't function well in many critical areas - forcing me to use Chrome for it to work properly. A bit of a PIA. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is ActiveCampaign solving and how is that benefiting you?

I use ActiveCampaign as my CRM. As my list grows, I use their automations to welcome new subscribers and email campaigns to maintain contact, share valuable content and alert them to upcoming offers. I teach online webinars and virtual courses, and use automations to send sequences of emails based on various parameters of how people interact with the courses. This saves a lot of time without having to manually track what everyone is doing. My contacts also get tagged based on their interests and what courses they have purchased, allowing me to customize what communications get sent to each individual.

When it works, it's great. But there have been issues that have worked against me, and that's frustrating. The interface isn't always intuitive, some important settings are not in obvious places and can be missed, and the results of this can be very counterproductive. I've also learned that asking for support through email is basically useless in these instances and to always use the chat - which sometimes means waiting until its available if it's offline when you need it.

Many of the things in the list of "select all that apply" are things that I either use very little or not at all because there are simply other tools outside of AC that work considerably better and are easier/more intuitive to use. Things like the email template builder and the landing page builder. While they've improved these things, there are still aspects of it all that are quite arcane. It's difficult to understand that with the teams they have to develop these features that they can't bring them up to level of ease, intuitiveness and function that other more dedicated platforms provide. As close to total automation as I have seen. It comes with training which is needed as there are so many features. I believe that one could actually sit down with BoldTrail and do all their lead generation from one CRM. The lead capture function is the best. I check and use it daily and love it. They hav a great customer service chat button. AI can solve easy and quick questions but for more complex questions, a real person is within 15 minutes away. Clickup has been the most straightforward and easy to setup project management tool for us. Task tracking is super easy with lots of granular details. What do you like best about Instantly?

After struggling with Campaigner and Mailchimp for cold outreach, I was beginning to think email deliverability was a myth. Both platforms felt like outdated, one-size-fits-all solutions that hadn’t kept up with the times. I tried everything—registering my domain, updating every record imaginable, avoiding buzzwords with AI filters, sending plain text emails, limiting sends to 30 emails per day… you name it. Despite my best efforts, Mailchimp flagged my emails like clockwork, and Campaigner got me an abysmal 2% open rate.

Then I discovered Instantly.ai, and everything changed. Without altering a single thing in my email strategy, my open rate shot up to an incredible 51%. What do you dislike about Instantly?

While I’m a big fan of Instantly.ai, I want to keep things balanced and not come across as a total fangirl. If I had to nitpick, the user interface for uploading contacts could use some refinement. As a solo operator, I find it manageable, but it’s a bit clunky—even for me. I can only imagine how tedious it might feel for a team juggling a larger volume of leads. That said, it’s entirely possible my struggles are self-inflicted, so take this critique with a grain of salt.

Since I’m focused on cold outreach and manually sourcing email lists, I’ve streamlined the process by uploading just the email addresses into Instantly. I keep all the extra contact details—names, notes, etc.—in a separate Google Sheet. When I get a response, I simply pull up my sheet to reference who they are. Trying to sync a full customer profile across my Google Sheet, CRM, and Instantly felt like a giant time sink. Now, I just focus on what matters: sending emails and managing replies. What do you like best about Capsule CRM?

It really is so easy to use, and is a part of my daily work and personal life. Entering or importing customers/accounts is a breeze, and searching for any information is so easy! The free account is good for 2 employees and 250 customers/accounts. I've used Capsule for years through different business i've started and managed, and have not found anything better anywhere near the same pricepoint. Training our employees on how to use the website, and implementing it into an existing business has always been so easy, and any question I've had was answered the same day! What do you dislike about Capsule CRM?

The app is great for a fast view of whats going on, but I wish it didn't need to sync every time it opened. If I don't have service at the moment it can be hard to pull up my calendar to view something already in there. I also wish on both the app and the website that I could organize the tasks for each day in order of importance, not just the order they were entered. It's helping us keep track of our customers with notes that can be added by anyone. There is no more back and forth with who last spoke to the customer, and any one of us can help them when needed since we have all the information in front of us. Their interactive calendar is also VERY helpful allowing me to add a task easily and drag other tasks to different days if there isn't time to get it all done. Pipedrive has sucessfully structured their CRM with humans in mind who may not be experts at using complex software. They have made it simple without compromising critical features. We use it every day for simple sales to complicated tenders and projects and Pipedrive provides all the activity tracking from lead-in to close. Customer support is excellent and responsive but there is extensive material on learn.pipedrive.com if users prefer to do a self -paced support or learn the product.

Its easy to setup, in minutes actually. Just start by creating a contact person or their orginzation and add information and events about your sales interaction until the deal is closed.

If you use gmail or slack, it integrates easily and with gmail, you can create or amend Pipedrive directly from within gmail using a chrome extension. All in all, its an excellent suite thats both powerful and affordable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The deafult views for deals and people need to be customised because out-of-the-box, they are pretty basic, but it can be done.

What do you like best about Less Annoying CRM?

I run a small online business with the help of a remote, dispersed team, and LACRM has been a cornerstone of our operations for over 15 years. Unlike businesses with traditional "sales funnels," we rely heavily on long-term relationship-building. Our customers naturally come and go, as their need for our services is driven by external factors outside their control—and ours.

LACRM stands out because it’s not designed exclusively for "salesy" businesses. Instead, it accommodates our unique approach, staying out of our way while consistently delivering reliable performance. Features like robust export/import functionality and the ability to merge contacts and histories when needed have been invaluable.

What I particularly appreciate about LACRM is how their development priorities and values align with ours. Their system is customizable, but not excessively so, which keeps it intuitive and minimizes frustration. They focus on simplicity and functionality, a philosophy that keeps costs down for all of us while ensuring the tool remains effective. LACRM is proof that less can truly be more. They recently added forms, which comes at a perfect time as we are looking to update some of our intake/feedback forms. This will benefit us any time we need a simple form (though for more robust forms with conditional logic, I think we'll still need to rely on a different platform). The customer support is second to none, Mackenzie "Mack" Fenn is incredibly quick with responses to any issues that may arise and always has a solution! Moving to this software from our previous interface was a bit daunting at first, but once we got into it we realized just how user friendly the system is and I couldn't imagine ever using something else at this point.
