This is a case where you get what you pay for. And in the case of Semrush, I find it to be a really valuable tool. So, it makes sense that the price point is pretty high. When I look at my business expenses, it's hard to justify spending thousands of dollars a year on one tool, but it becomes a necessary evil when you're in SEO and social media marketing. I would anticipate that the amount of time I save with Semrush is worth the cost of the platform. As far as Semrush Social is concerned, the downside is that not every feature available on the native platform (LinkedIn, Facebook) is available on Semrush Social Poster. Specifically. It is slightly annoying that you have to open different software for each tool, but I do appreciate that you can just get what you need if you don't need all the pieces. The one feature I think it's missing from RankMath is the ability to re-use a research already made. Researches are quite "expensive" and you spend 500 credits on each one. More than once I've been through the same situation. I perform a research, spend 500 credits than later on, there is a change of heart, a change of keywords and another research is required, another 500 credits. Then we create a new page and want to include the same keywords as before. We could simply load a previous reseach, but no. We pay to spend another 500 to get the exact same information we had before.

For an experienced SEO like me, their page suggestions often don't make sense or hold water. The suggestions are automated and based on elements of SEO that I don't find helpful or useful. Might be fine for someone newer to SEO, but I usually skip over these. Same could be said for their Home screen data points. Nice, but not essential to what I need to do my job. BrightEdge does not do everything I want or need. I still have to use an alternate tool every now and again to cross-check crawl issues or to pull URL's more quickly but BrightEdge has way more and way better tools for what I need than missing any of the tools that I need to use occassionally. BrightEdge is serving as my primary SEO platform that I use for keyword tracking, competitive research, active optimizations, and reporting. I now use BrightEdge for AI-driven internal link building through their Autopilot product and use their Ai-driven recommendations through their Copilot product. I research SEO in real-time, frequently using their Instant reporting suite and am super reliant on them for most everything I need to successfully manage my SEO program.
