We extensively use GCE, but there is a pain point in it. The configuration management is mid compared to Amazon EC2, for integrating our api services. We had to find workaround for it to work. I wasn't confident using the interface as the language/terminology was completely different to anything I'd seen on previous hosting services. Being stateless by design, the state cannot be maintained in most places makes it necessary to store the data either in other AWS services or any external storage. As it's a cloud-based function debugging is a bit more difficult and limited access to logs makes it more difficult. We used to use PHP and traditional web hosting panels like Plesk and cPanel, they were not scalable, vulnerable and lack support for latest web frameworks. Also licensing was expensive, after since we started migrationg our projects to Vercel, we have incereased quality, delivery time, security and scalability. I’ve got to share my experience with ULTAHOST’s VPS hosting in Mumbai—it’s been a bit of a nightmare, to be honest.

So, I signed up and everything was fine until the first week of October, when my server suddenly went down. I contacted their support, and they promised they were on it, saying it’d be back up soon. Fast forward two weeks, and I was still left in the dark, only to find out my server had been completely deleted!

Eventually, they offered me a new server and three months of free service, which sounds decent, right? But here’s the kicker: I lost about 100GB of data, including several high-traffic business websites. They kept saying they’d restore it, but no one seemed to know when or if that would even happen.

To make matters worse, they charged my card for October on the 7th or 8th—right before my server went down. When I asked for a refund, they flat-out denied it, citing some policy about not refunding VPS payments after 30 days. It’s a bit of a joke, really!

In the end, after a lot of back-and-forth, I managed to get a refund for the current month since I couldn’t use the service at all. But I’m still left without my data, and the new server they promised? Deleted! No compensation or help in sight.

Honestly, my experience with ULTAHOST has been a real letdown. Their support seems swamped and unable to sort things out properly. I’d definitely think twice before going with them for VPS hosting. Just my two pence! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Nerdio Manager is expensive! The licensing cost should be recovered by the scaling model savings, but it does eat into the savings tremendously.

We regularly run into errors with the 'User cost attribution' report. Redeploying Nerdio resolves the issue, but repeatedly doing this is aggravating. Lastly, Nerdio "power off and set as image" will fail on the sysprep stage if there are errors--Nerdio does not check for these possible issues including having antivirus installed on the image VM.

-It basically automates the process. I used Azure Event Grid to detect an event which generates a trigger to Azure finction to do a particular task based on conditions. Code was written in Azure functions and if necessary conditions were met, then it triggered the Azure logic apps the send mail notification to respetive teams. As any tool ans software there are bugs and there will probably always be some bugs. For bigger scale private clouds, lifecycle management becomes a challange, upgrading VCF takes o lot of time and it's sometimes unrealistic to have everything 100% healthy before starting the whole upgrade. Mostly they are simple to resolve from our end and in case it its a high priority issue, then we connect with Morpheus Customer Support Team who resolve our production issue at minimal time. While working with backup integrations in AWS, Morpheus Data provides usage of stored procedures & credentials in its platform. This reduces the complexity involved with accessing the AWS resources as all the IAM roles and policies are defined in their utility. We can also provide specifications on runtime for our external systems without interrupting our tasks which is helpful.
