“Unmatched Precision and Versatility for Creative Professionals”
What do you like best about Adobe Illustrator?

What I like best about Adobe Illustrator is its precision and versatility. The ability to create scalable vector graphics, customise designs with endless tools, and bring creative ideas to life makes it indispensable for professional and artistic projects alike. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adobe Illustrator?

The price has increased significantly over the years. However, I have been using the program for 25 years and plan to keep using it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Adobe Illustrator solving and how is that benefiting you?

Adobe Illustrator is a robust tool that effectively addresses several challenges in digital design, especially when it comes to creating precise and scalable artwork. One of the key issues it resolves is the difficulty of producing high-quality, vector-based graphics. Unlike raster images, vector graphics can be resized to any dimension without losing sharpness, which is crucial for designing posters or detailed character illustrations. This capability allows me to produce large-format prints or digital assets without concerns about pixelation or diminished quality.

Illustrator also simplifies the task of maintaining consistent shapes, lines, and colours. Its extensive set of tools—including the Pen Tool, Shape Builder, and Pathfinder, enables me to craft intricate characters and complex compositions with efficiency. The use of layers further helps me organise my illustrations, make individual adjustments, and experiment with different designs without having to start over each time.

Personally, I find the advantages of Illustrator to be significant. It streamlines my creative workflow, making it easier to bring my ideas to life quickly and with a professional finish. The flexibility to try out various styles and layouts, while being confident that the final result will be crisp and suitable for both print and digital formats, is invaluable. In the end, Illustrator saves me time, reduces frustration, and elevates the quality of my character illustrations and poster designs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Effortless Diagramming and Collaboration for Beginners”
What do you like best about Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite?

What I like most about Lucid is how easy it is to use while still being powerful. The drag-and-drop interface and ready-made templates make it simple to create diagrams and user flows, even as a student or beginner. I also really value the real-time collaboration features, which make group projects smoother by allowing everyone to contribute, comment, and stay aligned in one shared workspace. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite?

What I find most frustrating about Lucid is that several helpful features are only available with the Pro plan, which is rather costly for me as a student and someone at the beginning of my career. This limitation makes it challenging to take full advantage of the tool or use it extensively for learning purposes and building my portfolio. Additionally, I have experienced occasional slowdowns in performance, especially when working on larger diagrams or collaborating with several people simultaneously. Although these issues do not happen all the time, they can disrupt my workflow, particularly during group projects or when facing tight deadlines. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite solving and how is that benefiting you?

Lucid enables me to transform complex ideas into clear visual diagrams, making it much easier to grasp problems and communicate my thought process to others. It addresses difficulties related to organizing information, collaborating on group projects, and ensuring everyone stays on the same page during brainstorming and planning sessions. Additionally, it helps minimize confusion by offering a shared visual reference, which is particularly valuable when working remotely with classmates or teammates. “A better way than the old Microsoft diagrams for boxes and arrows.”
What do you like best about Miro?

Honestly, the greatest advantage I've found is that I don't have to install it on all of our laptops like we did with the previous tool. Once I share the link with each person they can go ahead and arrange the sticky notes as needed. And the fact that it saves automatically has also been helpful since my laptop battery is about to die. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Miro?

Sometimes the connection arrows are very frustrating as they will snap to the wrong side of the box and I will have to go into an extreme level of detail (i.e. zoom in at 400%) in order to locate the tiny dot that connects the arrow to the box so that I can move it. At times the entire board becomes slow and unresponsive because there are too many large images/screenshots that were pasted onto the board. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Miro solving and how is that benefiting you?

My company uses this product to draw pictures of our servers, because prior to this method, we would email each other files back and forth and no one knew which file was the most current. Now, I simply create the flowchart on the board and if someone decides to delete it, that is their responsibility. Also, this allows us to avoid having team members walk to my desk to ask about the operation of the systems we design. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Huge jump from v3 to v8 - glad I did it.”
What do you like best about Rebelle?

Huge changes from my Rebelle 3. The additional features really help this amateur learn more about what I'm doing but also make the job easier. Not that I have more time to play around and use the program it made sense to finally upgrade. I just wasn't using it enough to warrant the changes. But I'm very impressed with the upgrade and Christmas pricing. Ease of implementation really helped me and I'm hoping the ease of integration with my other work will pay off as I help my Son's church. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Rebelle?

No upgrade option from v3. That would have been nice but waiting and seeing today's Christmas sale, while not an upgrade price (big difference if I had a new version). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Rebelle solving and how is that benefiting you?

LP
“A user-friendly alternative to professional design software”
What do you like best about Canva?

I’ve been using Canva extensively for creating marketing materials, social media content, presentations, and brand assets, and it has fundamentally transformed how I approach visual content creation. The platform operates as a comprehensive creative operating system that combines intuitive design tools with powerful AI capabilities, making professional-quality design accessible without requiring years of training in traditional design software.

With over 25 AI-powered tools integrated into Magic Studio, an extensive template library containing thousands of professionally designed layouts, and robust collaboration features for team workflows, Canva has positioned itself as an indispensable tool for marketers, content creators, and small business teams who need to produce polished visuals quickly and consistently.

✅ What I really like about Canva:

The drag-and-drop interface represents one of Canva’s most compelling strengths, allowing you to become productive within minutes rather than spending weeks learning complex software. You can simply select elements, move them around the canvas, resize them intuitively, and arrange compositions without memorizing keyboard shortcuts or navigating through nested menus. This accessibility has been transformative for my workflow, particularly when I need to create quick turnaround content for social media campaigns or urgent marketing materials.

The template library deserves special recognition for its breadth and quality. You have access to thousands of professionally designed templates spanning every conceivable use case, from Instagram stories and LinkedIn posts to presentation decks, infographics, brochures, business cards, and email headers.

Each template provides a solid foundation that you can customize to match brand identity, saving hours compared to starting from a blank canvas. The templates are organized by category, style, and purpose, making it easy to find exactly what you need within seconds.

Magic Studio’s AI capabilities have revolutionized how I approach content creation.

Magic Write generates copy tailored to specific audiences and brand voices, which I find particularly useful when I’m experiencing writer’s block or need variations of marketing messages for A/B testing.

Magic Design creates complete designs from simple text prompts, allowing me to describe what I need and receive multiple layout options instantly.

Magic Media produces custom images and videos based on text descriptions, eliminating the need to search through stock photo libraries when I need something specific.

Magic Resize automatically adapts designs for different platforms and formats, so I can create one Instagram post and instantly generate versions for Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, and other channels without manually recreating each size.

The Brand Kit functionality has become essential for maintaining visual consistency across all my marketing materials . I can store up to 100 separate brands in one account, each with its own color palettes, font selections, logo variations, and pre-approved imagery. When I create new designs, all my brand assets are immediately accessible within the editor, allowing me to apply consistent styling with just a few clicks. This feature has been invaluable for ensuring that everyone on my team uses the correct brand colors, approved fonts, and official logo versions rather than creating off-brand content.

The collaboration features: Real-time collaboration allows multiple team members to work on the same design simultaneously, with changes appearing instantly for everyone viewing the project. I can leave comments directly on specific design elements, mention team members to get their attention, and have threaded discussions about revisions without switching to email or chat applications. The approval workflows let me set up review processes where designs must be approved by stakeholders before publication, reducing the risk of unauthorized or off-brand content being published.

The ability to replace logos or images across existing designs in bulk has saved me countless hours . When my brand underwent a logo refresh, I used this feature to update hundreds of existing templates and materials in minutes rather than manually opening and editing each file individually. The Bulk Create feature extends this capability further by letting me upload CSV or Excel files to automatically generate multiple variations of a design with different text, images, or data, which I use extensively for creating personalized marketing materials, event badges, or product catalogs.

Content Planner integration allows you to schedule social media posts directly from Canva without switching to separate scheduling tools . After designing social media graphics, you can immediately schedule them to post across multiple platforms at optimal times, view your content calendar, and ensure consistent posting schedules. This integration has simplified my workflow by keeping design and distribution in a single platform.

The photo editing capabilities built into Canva have eliminated my need for separate image editing software in most cases.

The background removal tool uses AI to accurately separate subjects from backgrounds with a single click, which I use constantly for product photography and creating transparent PNG files. Magic Eraser removes unwanted elements from images while intelligently filling the background, and Magic Expand extends image boundaries naturally when I need to adjust aspect ratios without cropping important elements. The photo enhancement tools automatically adjust brightness, contrast, saturation, and sharpness to improve image quality.

Magic Animate adds professional animations to static designs without requiring animation expertise. you can apply entrance effects, transitions, and motion graphics to text, images, and design elements to create more engaging social media content and presentation slides. These animations are customizable in terms of timing, direction, and style, allowing you to create polished motion graphics that would otherwise require dedicated animation software.

(January 2025) The storage capacity on paid plans provides ample space for design assets and projects.

Canva Pro includes 1TB of storage, while Teams provides 1TB per team member, ensuring you never run out of space for templates, brand assets, or completed projects. This generous storage allowance means you can keep the entire design library accessible within Canva rather than managing files across multiple cloud storage services.

(January 2025) The pricing structure offers excellent value compared to professional design software subscriptions . Canva Pro costs $15 per month or $120 annually for individual users, while Teams pricing is $10 per user monthly or $100 annually with a three-user minimum. This represents a fraction of the cost of Adobe Creative Cloud subscriptions while providing the functionality that most non-designers need for business content creation.

Mobile app extends Canva’s capabilities to smartphones and tablets, allowing me to create and edit designs on the go. I’ve used the mobile app to make last-minute edits to presentations while traveling, create social media posts from my phone when inspiration strikes, and access my design library from anywhere. The mobile interface maintains most of the desktop functionality while optimizing the experience for touchscreen devices.

The learning resources and tutorials available within Canva is endless. The platform includes contextual tips, video tutorials, design courses, and an extensive knowledge base that helps you discover new features and learn design best practices. These resources are accessible directly within the editor, so you can learn while working rather than needing to seek external training materials. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Canva?

The export format limitations represent the most significant constraint I encounter regularly.

Canva doesn’t support exporting to professional formats like PSD, AI, or INDD, which means designs created in Canva cannot be easily transferred to Adobe software for further editing by professional designers.

The AI-generated images and videos are provided in low resolution by default, requiring workarounds to achieve high-resolution output that interrupts the workflow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Canva solving and how is that benefiting you?

Canva has eliminated the steep learning curve traditionally associated with graphic design software. Team became productive within hours rather than spending months learning professional design tools, which has been critical for the ability to produce marketing content without hiring dedicated designers or outsourcing every visual project. This accessibility has empowered me to take creative control of our brand’s visual identity.

The platform solved brand consistency challenges by centralizing all brand assets in Brand Kits. Before using Canva, maintaining consistent use of brand colors, fonts, and logos across team members was nearly impossible, resulting in off-brand content that diluted our visual identity. Now everyone on my team has immediate access to approved brand assets, locked templates prevent unauthorized modifications, and I can audit design activity to ensure compliance with brand guidelines.

Canva accelerated the content production speed dramatically. What previously took hours in traditional design software now takes minutes with Canva’s templates, AI tools, and intuitive interface. I can create a complete social media campaign with graphics for six platforms in the time it used to take me to create a single polished image. This speed advantage has allowed me to increase content output without increasing headcount or budget.

The collaboration features solved coordination problems that previously required constant email exchanges, file transfers, and version control headaches. My team can now work together in real-time on designs, leave contextual feedback directly on visual elements, and maintain a single source of truth for each project.

The approval workflows ensure stakeholders review designs before publication, reducing costly mistakes and brand consistency violations.

Canva’s Magic Resize solved the tedious problem of manually recreating designs for different platforms and formats. Previously, adapting a single design for Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, and email headers required creating six separate files and manually adjusting layouts for each aspect ratio.

Now I create one master design and generate all size variations instantly with perfect formatting, saving hours per campaign and ensuring visual consistency across channels. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Effortless Design Creation for Non-Designers”
What do you like best about Adobe Express?

What I like best about Adobe Express is how easy and fast it is to create good-looking designs without needing deep design skills. When I need to make something quickly, like social media posts, banners, thumbnails, or simple marketing creatives, I don't have to open heavy tools or start from scratch. Everything is already well structured and ready to use. The templates are one of the strongest parts for me. They can be clean, modern, and usable in real projects, not just demo designs. I can pick a template, change text, colors, and images, and export it in minutes. This saves a lot of time, especially when deadlines are tight. Another thing I really like is that it works very smoothly in a browser. I don't always need to install software, and I can switch between devices easily. This is helpful when I want to do quick edits or review designs on the go. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adobe Express?

One thing I dislike about Adobe Express is that advanced customization is limited. When I want very fine control over design elements like precise alignment, advanced effects, or complex layout, it starts to feel restrictive compared to tools like Photoshop or Illustrator. Another downside is that some useful features and assets are locked behind the paid plan. While the free version is good for basic use, you quickly feel the limitations if you use it regularly for professional work. Sometimes performance can feel a bit slow when working on heavier designs or when switching between multiple projects in the browser. It's not a major issue, but it can interrupt the flow. Also for developers or technical users, exporting assets in very specific formats or resolutions is not always as flexible as expected. you may need extra steps another fool to finalize things Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Adobe Express solving and how is that benefiting you?

Adobe Express solves the problem of time-consuming and complex design workflows. Not everyone is a professional designer, but everyone still needs visuals, whether for marketing presentations, social media, or quick demos. Adobe Express makes it possible to create these visuals fast, without learning complex tools. It also solves the problem of inconsistency in branding. With brand kits, templates, and reusable assets, I can keep colors, fonts, and style consistent across designs. This is especially useful when working with clients, startups, or teams where brand identity matters. Another big benefit is speed of execution. When I need to create visuals for a quick product launch, client demo, or internal presentation, I can do it in minutes instead of hours. This helps me focus more on the actual work rather than spending too much time on design. Adobe Express also helps reduce dependency on designers for small tasks. Simple edits, quick banners, or social posts can be handled independently, which improves workflow efficiency and back-and-forth. Additionally, it supports collaboration and sharing, making it easy to get feedback or reuse designs across teams. Another problem Adobe Express solves is the gap between ideas and execution. Many times, I know what kind of visual I want, but turning that idea into an actual design takes time or design expertise. Adobe Express bridges that gap by giving ready-made layouts and smart suggestions so I can quickly convert ideas into visuals without struggling with design decisions. it also helps solve the problem of content repetition on scaling when i need to create multiple versions of the same design, like different sizes for social media platforms or slightly different versions for campaigns Adobe Express makes it easy to duplicate, resize, and update designs. Without starting over, this saves a lot of effort when making regular content. Another important benefit is consistency in output quality. Even if different people in a team are creating designs, Adobe Express ensures the final output still looks clean and professional. This is very helpful when non-designers are involved, as it reduces the risk of a poorly designed visual going out to a client or users. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Bought it. Didn't think I'd use it.”
What do you like best about SketchWow?

I knew I wanted to buy SketchWow based on the promotions I received from the company. They were all made with SketchWow. But I foresaw a problem: I was managing partner of a New York advertising agency staffed with art directors and an art studio that employed 8 smart, talented people. It was my secret wish to have the talent to draw and sketch like those men and women.

But, alas, I'd never be like any of them. I'm "left hemisphere." Besides, they were at my beck & call to illustrate and sketch the decks we'd build for the agency's pitches.

So, what the heck, I bought and installed it anyway. Of course, it "sat" silent in my PC for weeks. But I came into the office (O often used as my "classroom") one day for the sole purpose of learning to use SketchWow. Ideas came to me, but a fully functional working grasp was elusive. Determined to learn, I kept at it, and by the end of that Saturday, I felt I "got it." I was able to use SketchWow! And I now use it for almost every pitch deck we make.

I've since "retired" but have gone off on my own. And I can draw/sketch/illustrate or whatever you want to call what the software does! (Can you tell? I'm very pleased with myself!)

I credit SketchWow with the way my pitches and presentations captivate the attention of my prospects and clients. And, as a result, the rate at which my new little one-man agency has grown. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SketchWow?

Though there are great, detailed tutorials, I was late in finding them. But be assured, you'll find them with ease (pro tip: don't multitask).

I'm not certain this is a "dislike," but new features are introduced regularly—brilliant ones! I no longer have an office to drive to use to learn from the tutorials, but I typically have to reserve a Saturday to study the new ones. (It's worth it.) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is SketchWow solving and how is that benefiting you?

It engages my clients and prospects in my presentations.

“Super useful for teams working with complex databases”
What do you like best about ChartDB?

We’ve been using ChartDB as part of our workflow for around 6 months now, and it’s become one of those tools we didn’t know we needed until we had it. It lets our team instantly turn SQL schemas into clean, understandable diagrams, perfect for onboarding new engineers and planning database changes. We often share the ER diagram before granting access to the actual database, which really improves context and security. The live collaboration is smooth (feels a bit like Figma but for databases), and we’ve used it regularly in internal design reviews. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ChartDB?

Nothing major. Early on, there were some limitations with schema filtering and support for larger tables, but the team has been super responsive and shipped fixes quickly. One thing still on our wishlist is better versioning support, though the current setup already works well for most of our needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is ChartDB solving and how is that benefiting you?

It helps us quickly generate and share clear ER diagrams with the team, which is especially useful during onboarding and planning changes. Before ChartDB, we’d waste time explaining schemas manually or digging through SQL. Now we just share a link to the diagram, way faster and easier for everyone to understand what’s going on. What do you like best about Plasfy?

I haven't been using this tool for very long, but I've been impressed by the sheer number of templates it offers for everything from Instagram posts and Facebook banners to presentation covers, flyers, and invitations. This has allowed me to create designs from scratch with minimal knowledge but with amazing results. I use it for my studio presentations, where creativity and distinction really stand out. Plus, their customer service is fantastic. When I have problems, I contact them, and they respond within minutes to help me. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Plasfy?

I really like everything about it. The only thing I've noticed is that the mobile version isn't as good, or I feel like it's a bit more difficult to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Plasfy solving and how is that benefiting you?

You can produce designs relatively quickly, without relying exclusively on a professional designer, and its learning curve isn't very steep, which makes designing fast, even if it's your first time using it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Comprehensive Design Tool with Minor AI Shortcomings”
What do you like best about Affinity Designer?

I find Affinity Designer really good and worth using. The newest version is really attractive and it can do almost everything like Photoshop, illustrating, and layout tasks. It even supports reading and recollecting, which is amazing to see. I really like that it's not just one tool; it's every tool in one. I really appreciate the features because they give us the best experience. The setup meets my expectations because it really looks like a tough illustrator, so it wasn't very hard to learn. Plus, it has a very interactive UI, making it easy to do everything. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Affinity Designer?

I find that Affinity Designer doesn't meet my expectations in AI features. It doesn't look as good as other AI software. Additionally, there are little things that need improvement, like AI and adaptation in RTL format. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Affinity Designer solving and how is that benefiting you?

I use Affinity Designer for great design and 3D project rendering. It's comprehensive, combining tools for Photoshop, illustration, layout, and more, making it really worth using. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Effortless Design Flow and Consistency with Sketch”
What do you like best about Sketch?

Using Sketch feels like stepping into a clean, designer-friendly playground where everything just flows. It’s fast, lightweight, and works perfectly even offline — no slow-loading screens, no cloud drama, just pure design peace. The real magic shows up with its symbols, shared styles, and vector tools. Create a button or icon once, and you can reuse it everywhere with total consistency. It makes the whole workflow feel smarter and way more enjoyable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Sketch?

Overall, Sketch is a strong and capable tool, but it sometimes feels a bit behind when it comes to modern collaboration features. The biggest downside is that it works only on macOS, which makes teamwork difficult if everyone isn’t using a Mac. It’s great for solo work, but cross-platform collaboration definitely takes a hit. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Sketch solving and how is that benefiting you?

Sketch makes my whole UI/UX workflow smoother by giving me a clean, well-organized space to design everything. I don’t have to jump between different tools — I can create wireframes, polished screens, and reusable components all in one place. It keeps the process easy, fast, and much more enjoyable. “EdrawMax - Simply the Best !”
What do you like best about Wondershare EdrawMax?

The ease of use, with no learning curve, is what attracted me to EdrawMax. In EdrawMax, the icons and controls are where they are logically supposed to be on the screen. In competitor software, I used to struggle a lot even with basic alignment of objects in the screen, but with EdrawMax, this process is a built-in feature. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Wondershare EdrawMax?

LAYERS EXPORT:

I am a generation of MS Visio, but dropped it for EdrawMax. However, the inability to have layers exported as part of the PDF file is a big deal. It is always great for presentation purposes to toggle the layers on/off when taking someone through your chart. It would be tremendously powerful to have the option to export the PDF to include layers by default, with the layers fully having the same interactivity in the exported PDF as it is in the app.

GUI THEMES:

It would be great to have various additional themes in the app, allowing the user to have the customization possible in apps like PDF Xchange Pro, where the user can customize the GUI theme and colors to their taste. These are, however, not deal breakers for me at this port to revert to the previous apps for diagramming! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Wondershare EdrawMax solving and how is that benefiting you?

All my diagramming activities, from basic process flows and organizational charts to complex manufacturing processes, consistently deliver photo-realistic process flows that surpass my friend's expectations, leaving them amazed at the capabilities of the tool. “Rich Features, Steep Learning Curve with GIMP”
What do you like best about GIMP?

I use GIMP primarily for photo editing, graphic design, and creating digital art. I really like its wide range of tools like layers, masks, filters, and customizable brushes, which make complex editing and creative projects possible without expensive software. I appreciate its open-source nature and flexibility, which allow me to experiment freely and efficiently. The incredible versatility and depth of GIMP, especially for a free program, is impressive. Features like layers, masks, customizable brushes, advanced selection tools, and extensive plugins make complex photo edits and creative projects achievable. I especially value its open-source nature, which allows constant updates, community support, and endless customization to fit my workflow perfectly. Layers and masks let me edit images non-destructively, keeping changes flexible. Customizable brushes and advanced selection tools speed up detailed work, while plugins expand functionality for specific tasks. Together, these features streamline complex edits, enhance creative control, and make GIMP a powerful, efficient, and adaptable tool for any project. The initial setup of GIMP was straightforward, with a simple download and installation process across multiple operating systems. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GIMP?

GIMP can feel unintuitive compared to commercial software, with a steeper learning curve for beginners. Some tools are slower or less polished, and interface inconsistencies can disrupt workflow. Improved performance, smoother navigation, and more streamlined tool options would make editing faster, easier, and more user-friendly without sacrificing its powerful features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is GIMP solving and how is that benefiting you?

I use GIMP for photo editing, graphic design, and creating digital art without expensive software. It solves the need for a powerful, cost-free tool, allowing professional-quality results with its flexibility, layers, masks, and customization options. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
