I'm not sure if this issue is due to Notion's functionality or the way I've set up my portfolio, but I often encounter a problem when trying to scroll. Whenever I move my cursor to the scroll bar on the right, a menu icon appears, preventing me from scrolling. I have to move the cursor away and try again to scroll properly. There is a slight learning curve for figuring out how to initially set up the platform in a way that is conducive for me personally. I probably spent about an hour in total learning how to set it up and inputting all of my tasks, projects, and related information that first day. Since then, I feel like I'm off and running, but I would suggest new users block off about an hour for that first set up, depending on how technologically savvy they are. I have a lot of Projects I'm working on simultaneously. They are very detailed and each of them has a lot of moving parts. My regular task list was getting cluttered and disorganized because of this issue, so I wanted to find a platform that would help me categorize my tasks under which project they're related to, assign deadlines to make them actionable steps, and visually track my progress so I don't lose hope. Sometime what is hard is having folks in our department try to adopt using smartsheet, more times than not, team members have been resistant to trying to collaborate on SS during a project. Sometimes, a barrier to having team members adopt SS during a project is having a hard time accessing it if they are not regularly in the app. I share links to the SS shee with them but they usually lose track of it. I think the Teams integration is really helpful, but I still find that team members still dont use it to access SS.

Personally, sometimes I feel it is hard to keep up with all of the improvements and new features. I find that I always keep going back to the same workflows and have a hard time teaching myself new things in SS. Smartsheet helps and benefits our Department immensely. Smartsheet helps us organize and manage complex projects and helps us achieve Department initiatives and goals. Having the dashboard capability within Smartsheet has also been very beneficial as having data to show impact etc has been a key initiative for our Department and creating dashboards via smartsheet has been a very seamless way to showcase our data. I find that Mural still misses some features, like tables. Having to construct some visuals using only boxes and sticky notes is kind of annoying. Also, I understand the idea of an 'open world' visual, where you can store all visuals in a same board, or Mural. But I find it easy to get lost in so much data. Honestly I don't have any clear ideas for improvement in this case... Maybe a tag that you can add to a point or coordinate in the mural that can be easily tracked and searched? We need a lot of flowcharts and workflow descriptions in our daily business and all of those are built by many hands. We used Visio in the past but many times we lost data because of someone saving into others changes and this is never happening with Mural. The collaboration is the biggest point for us. The platform does not support bulk data uploads directly. To update the data in bulk, users must reach out to a support agent for assistance.

Additionally, capacity planning is based solely on the total allocated hours per role and does not account the total number of allocated projects and the target number of projects.

Attent to meetings almost every hour of your shift might prevent you from having the way to communicate with other people or teams at the same time, huddles and direct messages have made my job journey easier when I need to consult or request any information from someone else. The file sharing feature allows you to share almost every file you want, if you wan to record a short video clip, it is possible with Slack. Some of the advanced setups, like when we configured the Stripe integration or certain automations, took longer than expected because of trial and error. The AI feature, while promising, wasn’t as efficient as we’d hoped—it took a while to get the right prompt for an automation and ended up consuming a lot of Airtable AI credits.

Customer support has been helpful whenever we reached out, but it would be great if they provided more guidance on advanced use cases or setup tips for things like scripting and AI. Additionally, we’ve found the reporting tools a bit limited. More built-in options for creating detailed reports would make Airtable even more valuable for tracking and analyzing data. Airtable has solved many of the challenges we faced with keeping our workflows streamlined and our data organized. Before using Airtable, we struggled with scattered information across different tools and a lot of manual work to keep things updated. There are two minor features we currently miss in Bordio: the ability to export timesheets and a clock timer for tasks. We are a small team, and before we started using a task management system, we used WhatsApp to assign tasks to each other. However, as our team grew, it turned into complete chaos. Project.co solves the problem of scattered projects, miscommunication, and reporting by providing separated projects by "group" or "company", separating discussion channels inside of those projects to keep things organized, provides an embed feature to attach as many tools as you'd like to each project to show your client everything you have going for that project. The past rendition of MindGenius stage was not as undertaking detailing amicable as current variants and it took a touch of experimentation to get the correct configurations for announcing especially on financials. In general, it is an excellent tool. It perfectly fulfills its function and has tools and options that are very easy to use and understand. The only problem that I have experienced is that sometimes it falls, it does not load the information, and consequently, it makes it difficult to move forward and have visibility about the daily activities of each user and the entire team. Not much down side. I've led F100 PMO teams that were responsible for portfolio and project management tools and processes, including MS Project, Asana, Clarity PPM and Planview. WHile each tool has strengths, Meisterplan was quickest to onboard and least costly to maintain. Meisterplan's strength is modeling and comparing various scenarios for schedule and resourcing; it does this better than any PPM tool I've used. The project scoring functionality is flexible and IMO peerless. We can make far better-informed project selection, scheduling and pacing decisions and thereby improve the ROI on the projects we select and deliver.
