“Rebelle 7 Pro: Unmatched Realistic Natural Media in an Intuitive, Smooth Experience”
What do you like best about Rebelle?

I started using Rebelle 7 Pro because it offers an unmatched, realistic emulation of natural art media (watercolor, acrylic, oil, pastel, etc.), including believable interaction with the digital paper, canvas, or painting ground. The cost of owning it is very reasonable compared to other software that offers almost the same features.

It’s built in a very intuitive way for a traditional artist like me, so a steep learning curve is basically non-existent. I love the interface and the overall user experience it provides. The software runs smoothly and rarely bugs out.

I also like that I can easily export to PSD format if I ever want to do extra adjustments using Photoshop or Affinity Photo tools. That makes it highly compatible with most major image manipulation software. The integrated timelapse feature is great as well, and I love how the recording system works—specifically, that it only records the strokes. This makes it possible for me to leave recording on without worrying that a steady frame will record nothing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Rebelle?

The digital papers are actually expensive compared to the production cost of making these digital papers. I wish they increase more the number of colors from an image. The current maximum number of colors generated from image feels very limiting. I wish there is also a way to save workspace. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Rebelle solving and how is that benefiting you?

I’m a traditional artist. Even though I’ve used Photoshop, Clip Studio Paint, Sketchbook, Corel Painter, ArtRage, and others, none of them really gave me that traditional feel when drawing or painting. Rebelle is the one that finally gave me the traditional experience I’d been looking for. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Precision, Versatility, and Pro-Level Customization for Efficient Design”
What do you like best about AutoCAD?

What I like most about AutoCAD is the precision and versatility it offers for technical drawing and 3D modeling. The interface feels professional and is highly customizable, which helps make complex design tasks more efficient. I also appreciate how well it integrates with other Autodesk products and fits smoothly into common industry workflows. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about AutoCAD?

One of AutoCAD’s biggest drawbacks is its high subscription cost, which can be especially tough for individual users or small businesses. It can also be overwhelming for beginners, since the interface is complex and the learning curve is steep. On top of that, AutoCAD may require fairly powerful hardware to run smoothly, particularly when you’re working on larger projects. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is AutoCAD solving and how is that benefiting you?

AutoCAD helps me solve problems related to precise technical drafting, design accuracy, and overall project organization. It lets me produce detailed drawings efficiently, minimize design errors, and apply changes quickly as a project evolves. As a result, my productivity improves, I save time, and collaboration with clients or team members becomes much easier. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Structural Engineer (5 years), Drafting and Detailing Using Zwcad”
What do you like best about ZWCAD?

It’s fast and easy to use. I frequently rely on the trimming and hatching functions, and they work well for my day-to-day tasks. I also really like the option to tile vertically within a DWG or across different DWG files, since it makes referencing and comparing drawings much easier. After updating to ZWCAD 2025, it makes it less laggy, can open multiple dwg at the same time as well. It is cheaper than Autocad with the same function and with easier license managing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ZWCAD?

1. Long loading time when open a dwg.

2. There is some bugs in layer properties drop down panel Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is ZWCAD solving and how is that benefiting you?

1. Save time when drafting by opening different dwgs using tile vertically function

2. Different layers used can help in isolating different element and easier to control when want to focus on certain element. Especially in large drawings where there is lots of elements involved. 'Layiso" function, "Freeze" function, and "Lock" function are most commonly used when want to study on certain element only.

3. Resulting in more detailed and accurate info to be conveyed to other parties (minimise error / miscommunication). Dimension can be shown anywhere with accuracy. "Xref" function is also commonly used for reference and comparison between dwgs from different parties.

4. Can be plotted into PDF for ease of reference via mobile and on different location Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Powerful, Professional Image Editing for Free with GIMP”
What do you like best about GIMP?

I regularly prepare technical visuals for project presentations, training documents, project reviews, internal reports, and stakeholder communication. What I like best about GIMP is that it provides the image-editing capabilities I need without requiring expensive software, making it practical for day-to-day project and documentation work.

I use GIMP several times each month when preparing equipment images, process diagrams, training materials, and presentation content. A common example is highlighting specific components in equipment photographs, adding annotations to screenshots, or updating visuals used in project review meetings. The layer-based editing system is especially useful because it allows me to separate labels, arrows, text, and images, making revisions much easier when project information changes.

I also regularly use cropping, resizing, color correction, and export functions when preparing images for reports and presentations. The ability to work with multiple file formats is helpful because project visuals often come from suppliers, customers, contractors, and internal teams using different software.

Although I initially started using GIMP for basic image edits, I found it capable of handling more detailed work such as creating training graphics and improving image quality for documentation. One unexpected benefit has been reducing the need to rely on multiple tools for image preparation. Overall, GIMP helps me create professional-looking visuals more efficiently while improving the quality of project documentation and communication materials. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GIMP?

The biggest challenge for me was the learning curve. When I first started using GIMP, finding specific tools and understanding the workflow took time because the interface is not always as intuitive as some modern design applications.

Another limitation appears when working with larger image files containing many layers. In those situations, performance can occasionally feel slower, especially when zooming, moving layers, or applying effects. While this doesn't affect normal editing tasks, it becomes noticeable on more complex projects. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is GIMP solving and how is that benefiting you?

Before using GIMP, image-editing tasks were often handled through multiple applications or required assistance from colleagues who had access to specialized software. As a Senior Project Engineer, I frequently need to prepare visuals for project reviews, training materials, process documentation, and stakeholder presentations. Managing these tasks through different tools increased effort and slowed down document preparation.

I now use GIMP as my primary tool for editing and preparing project-related visuals. For example, when creating training materials, I can highlight equipment features, add annotations, adjust image quality, and export finalized graphics from a single application. Similarly, when preparing project review presentations, I can quickly modify screenshots and technical images without relying on additional software.

The biggest benefit has been improved efficiency and greater control over documentation quality. Compared to the previous process, I spend less time switching between tools and can prepare visual content more quickly. This helps accelerate report preparation, improves communication of technical information, and reduces dependency on external editing resources.

Overall, GIMP solves the challenge of fragmented image-editing workflows by providing a single platform for creating, updating, and managing project visuals, allowing me to focus more on project execution and stakeholder communication rather than administrative editing tasks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Versatile Design Tool with Room for Improvement”
What do you like best about Inventor?

I like Inventor's versatility; the same model can be made in different ways, and the interchangeability of 2D drawing options with AutoCAD is great. The software helps a lot by requiring less time to make more productive work. The ability to convert AutoCAD 2D drawings into 3D models easily within Inventor is really handy. Also, the ease of creating structural designs using top-down or top-up assembly methods and having the option of generative design is impressive. The initial setup was very easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Inventor?
