What do you like best about FloQast?

FloQast has revolutionized our month end close. We were tracking everything in Excel and it was ugly and clunky and not very intuitive. We now use FloQast's checklist and it creates a forecast to when we will close, shows if we are late, early or on target. We use the timeline every day during close to make sure the team members know what they need to get done. Reconciliations are easier to review. What do you dislike about FloQast?

I would like to be able to modify my dashboard more. It is prett standard / out of the box. But there are other close metrics and KPI's that I would like to see on the dashboard. Like historically which reconciliations are always late.. or if there is a specific team member that is always late and another that is always early... if i could see that data easily, i could rearrange the workload for my team. What problems is FloQast solving and how is that benefiting you?

Floqast helps us manage the month end close process. We can see what tasks are completed and what are outstanding. We have daily check in calls (we are a remote team), and it helps our conversations be quick and effecient and helps us talk through roadblocks/obstacles if there are any. Floqast has also drastically helped with reconciliations. We can track them, have a repository for them, see which are completed and which aren't... it shows variances to our ERP. LiveFlow is the single most significant piece of software transforming how I run my business in 2022.

QuickBook is a pain to use and doesn't give me the type of insight into my business's financials that I need in order to manage day-to-day operations.

Sage Intacct offers a wide range of features, but I use the Custom Report Builder almost daily. It’s an incredibly powerful tool that makes it easy to implement new ways of reviewing financials. The interface is extremely user-friendly, and there’s a wealth of resources available if you need assistance—almost every feature includes a help button or guide. The integration can be a bit challenging due to the learning curve involved. While this can be seen as a drawback, it's also a positive aspect—it pushes users to truly master the software. we can pull any data we want and any format we want, but it takes advanced knowledge of the solution to build custom reports and we have to do some of our reconciliation offline since its not really feasible easily on the platform (ex: deferred revenue reconciliation)

What do you like best about Drivetrain?

My overall experience with Drivetrain has been great. The tool is extremely easy to use and very intuitive. Producing new reports is seamless and user friendly. The implementation took ~ 3 months and was quite smooth. The DT implementation team made sure that the platform was up and running in time for our planning cycle. Additionally, Rohit who lead the implementation, has been incredibly responsive, collaborative, and made sure that the tool met our needs. What do you like best about Mosaic Tech?

Real=time updates make dashboarding and reporting quite simple. Once the reports are set up, it's pretty easy to adjust time periods to create new versions.

The modeling and forecasting is similarly pretty straightforward, and robust enough for most use cases. For example, it's pretty simple to work from an existing expense line item and forecast it forward using any number of formulaic approaches (flat, grow by x%, grow based on some other metric like headcount, etc.). What do you dislike about Mosaic Tech?

There is definitely a learning curve with regards to creating formulas and linking the elements of a financial model. Apliqo is built from its foundations with the end user experience in mind. It offers an intuitive interface, place on top of any type of business problem for planning and reporting.

It can integrate Excel input in the same front end, so end users can decide if they want to prepare data outside of the web-front end and load their results, or work directly in the tool. This combination allows users the freedom they need and desire to work in a way that suits them best.

We mainly use Apliqo (both UX and FPM) for internal reporting. We use it for our day-to-day timesheets, our (financial) month end close, dashboarding and reporting.

The operational model is tracking our projects on a day-to-day basis, provinding an overview of budgets-to-date, time spent (hours/days), expenses tracking. Our users are entering information on a daily basis.

For the financial closing we are currently utilising the P&L/Balance sheet reporting layer across our region, based on input from various countries, coming from different data sources (accounting systems).

Anaplan is a great planning platform which is easy to use and scalable.

Anaplan continues investing in its product roadmap. New products either organically developed like Anaplan Workflow and Data Orchestrator or externally acquired like Fluence provided Anaplan a range of capabilities required in the planning space.

Anaplan has excellent online learning centre. Courses for recently acquired products were developed using the same standard as the Anaplan core courses. This made learning experience easy.

It is not always able to clear data that is supposed to be hidden or archived. For example, our customer list was flooded with individual email adresses in the early days of the companies. The ease of use and implementation allowed my company to drop Velixo in seamlessly and use it to boost our reporting capabilities tremendously. The ability to write back to the GL has streamlined our monthly close process on the accounting side as well. As a Director of FP&A in my company I also heavily rely on Velixo to set up our reporting templates to quickly provide real time financials, while also uploading my budgets. Variance analysis has never been easier - can avoid the excel hassle of huge lookups.The Velixo team is also extremely responsive to questions and support with new product updates that make it a quick and easy process. It takes some time to learn the syntax of the designing codes to retrieve data, but the Velixo team provides great documentation and support along with helpful instructions within the formula themselves. Velixo allows me to quickly upload new budgets and forecasts along with retrieving actuals, which means I spend little to no time on retrieving financial data and variances and can spend more time analyzing and digging in. It also allows us to writeback to the GL whenever we have changes or adjustments and is extremely quick to drop in new journal entries this way during the close process and review. What do you like best about Rillet?

Rillet has native integrations with Salesforce and Stripe, this allows us to have a clear picture of revenue by customer. I used to spend multiple days each month calculating that information, juggling between CSV downloads and complex formulae in several spreadsheets. Deferred revenue was a nightmare to parse. Now revenue by customer and deferred revenue calculations are all automated and a breeze to navigate within Rillet. Rillet's prepaid automation is super handy too. Ditching my Excel based supporting schedule for prepayments has been a boon to my month end processes. The Stripe reconciliation engine reconciles payouts and fees automatically. The Rillet team is rolling out new updates to the platform weekly, and it's been great to see how the product has evolved since we started working with them. What do you like best about Acumatica?

I have used many small accounting and larger ERP systems. None work like Acumatica. When I said this system was written to run in the cloud - I really mean it. You can tell the company worked hard with industry experts to plan, design, and then program a software solution. This is not legacy software attempting to run in the cloud.

You can import and export from any system screen. Most common user screens have the ability with one click like sales order but for power users you can easily hit any screen/table you want.

I required very fancy customer discounts. This was the only system that could handle it.

I have over 100k SKUs and 50k bins. The system didn't complain. No user screens started to choke either. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Acumatica?

I originally purchased a perpetual license many years ago. Unfortunately, those are no longer offered. My annual maintenance price has not changed each year which was a pleasant surprise. This year I was forced to upgrade to the latest version or I would get penalized 25% each month. It was in the middle of our busy season and nobody wanted to go through a major upgrade that could cause issues. I can understand support not wanting to help if we are on an old version but to force us to upgrade or fine us harshly is just down right abuse from a vendor. If that practice doesn't stop then I can see people leaving.

Don't try hosting this software on a virtual server. It will not perform well. Make sure you get a dedicated server. Also don't use the MySQL database. The only one that works is the MSSQL. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Kosh.ai?

Prior to Kosh, we were manually reconciling finance transactions. Given our scale of operations, it was quite a tedious task. Using Kosh we have completely automated the reconciliation process but have also improved the other related workflows. The platform is quite configurable. The Kosh team has been very responsive in addressing any changes in our workflows. They anyway did a great job during implementation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Kosh.ai?

What problems is Kosh.ai solving and how is that benefiting you?

Our company facilitates peer-to-peer lending and we are perhaps the largest in the country. So naturally we handle a large number of transactions on a daily, weekly and monthly basis. This leads to a lot of data being generated. To manage and reconcile this data, we are using Kosh. What do you like best about Campfire?

Switching to Campfire from Netsuite has been an absolute game-changer. As a CFO running a multi-currency, multi-legal entity operation, I’ve dealt with clunky, frustrating accounting software before. Campfire? A totally different story.

This platform is a dream—it’s intuitive, fast, and actually fun to use. I used to dread logging into my old system, but now? I look forward to it. Campfire helps us get more done with fewer headaches, and that’s everything in today’s “do-more-with-less” world.

Even better, Campfire is a new player in the space, and they’re already shaking things up. They’re releasing new features weekly (seriously, the pace is wild), and the product road map has me genuinely excited for what’s next. It’s clear they’re building this for the long haul, and I’m here for it.

Shoutout to Justin from customer success—this guy is a rockstar! His support is so good it makes other companies’ “white-glove service” look like amateur hour. Whether it’s the migration (they did everything for me!) , setup, or random questions, he’s been there every step of the way.

Consolidating and reporting multiple legal entities with numerous currencies was a headache, and expensive, in Netsuite. Campfire makes it easy and fun! Additionally, Campfire has a dashboard with KPIs that are relevant to my business that I can actually trust. This makes internal and external reporting much easier and less stressful.
