FloQast has revolutionized our month end close. We were tracking everything in Excel and it was ugly and clunky and not very intuitive. We now use FloQast's checklist and it creates a forecast to when we will close, shows if we are late, early or on target. We use the timeline every day during close to make sure the team members know what they need to get done. Reconciliations are easier to review. Real=time updates make dashboarding and reporting quite simple. Once the reports are set up, it's pretty easy to adjust time periods to create new versions.
The modeling and forecasting is similarly pretty straightforward, and robust enough for most use cases. For example, it's pretty simple to work from an existing expense line item and forecast it forward using any number of formulaic approaches (flat, grow by x%, grow based on some other metric like headcount, etc.). Rillet has native integrations with Salesforce and Stripe, this allows us to have a clear picture of revenue by customer. I used to spend multiple days each month calculating that information, juggling between CSV downloads and complex formulae in several spreadsheets. Deferred revenue was a nightmare to parse. Now revenue by customer and deferred revenue calculations are all automated and a breeze to navigate within Rillet. Rillet's prepaid automation is super handy too. Ditching my Excel based supporting schedule for prepayments has been a boon to my month end processes. The Stripe reconciliation engine reconciles payouts and fees automatically. I have used many small accounting and larger ERP systems. None work like Acumatica. When I said this system was written to run in the cloud - I really mean it. You can tell the company worked hard with industry experts to plan, design, and then program a software solution. This is not legacy software attempting to run in the cloud.
You can import and export from any system screen. Most common user screens have the ability with one click like sales order but for power users you can easily hit any screen/table you want.
I required very fancy customer discounts. This was the only system that could handle it.
