What do you like best about FloQast?

In 2023, we implemented FloQast to streamline our month-end close process. The checklist feature has been invaluable for ensuring organization and task completion, eliminating the manual oversight needed with our previous Excel-based approach. FloQast’s task assignment and automated reminders have lightened management’s workload, while its balance sheet reconciliation tool, which syncs with our ERP’s trial balance, has reduced errors and prevented potential audit issues by notifying preparers and reviewers of discrepancies.

Approximately a year after adopting FloQast for closing, we transitioned our SOX compliance system from AuditBoard to FloQast Compliance. Initially hesitant, we worked closely with the FloQast team, who refined the compliance tool based on our and our auditors’ feedback. After these enhancements, we received approval from our auditors to proceed with FloQast Compliance. Though still in the early stages of our first audit cycle, we’re pleased with its performance. While there’s a learning curve after 10 years with AuditBoard, FloQast Compliance has proven functional and reliable, with a responsive team that addresses enhancement requests effectively. What do you dislike about FloQast?

There are minor enhancement requests we have submitted for FloQast compliance: adding filters to some of the compliance screens; being able to link narratives and controls across different audit projects (corp controls vs IT controls, for example). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

FloQast has introduced substantial efficiencies to our close process by providing real-time visibility into status updates, enhancing collaboration between our finance and accounting departments. In a remote work environment, this functionality has been particularly beneficial in helping our team stay aligned. What do you like best about Sage Intacct?

I have been using Sage Intacct for over 2 years and it is by far my favorite accounting software I have ever used. It is extremely user friendly and does not allow for mistakes. There are so many wonderful features, not to mention keeping your tax information together for year end 1099's. The ease of integrating and learning how to use Sage Intacct was wonderful. If I ever had issues, customer support was always extremely helpful with any problems. I use Sage Intacct almost daily and appreciate the helpful updates that come frequently. Workiva has a very intuitive financial reporting platform. I can easily make formatting changes and ensure my document is SEC compliant. Workiva also allows me to integrate data from various sources, automating data linking across reports, and improving accuracy.

Workiva also allows multiple users to work simultaneously on documents, ensuring real-time updates and reducing version control issues. I can easily track my work through easy to generate redlines.

What do you like best about LiveFlow?

The team has been great, they are extremely knowledgable about their product. The product itself is very advanced, I've looked around on the market for something that is able to integrate with Xero and only have found Liveflow. Currently, I am still integrating Liveflow into our systems but the team are instant with responses and immediately reply. They are always asking in ways we can improve/request for new features to add to the system. Lastly, I think for the price, what they offer is worth the $$$. What do you like best about NetSuite?

I have used a number of ERP and inventory management systems in the past with varying degrees of customization options and user friendliness. Usually the more customized, the easier or complicated it can be depending on the person doing the customizing. Netsuite has seemingly endless options to customize everything from aesthetics to functionality and as long as you're willing to do most of the learning on your own, pay for extended training or pay even more for a partner or consultant to help, it's a great program. What do you dislike about NetSuite?

Out of the box, barebones Netsuite will probably work for exactly nobody. You will need some levels of add on modules or scripted customization to fit your business needs, and the costs can add up very quickly. it would be nice if some of this is better explained up fron or the pricing was made more transparent, but the results in many ways speak for themselves. Netsuite will help us streamline and consilidate our many departments digital platforms. Mosaic has a very clean interface that allows for great connectivity to SFDC, Netsuite and Maxio creating a command center and source of truth for the entire organization. The Canvas workspace allows for quick and easy adhoc analysis and allows the functional leaders to get near real-time info that helps everyone row in the same direction based on the same set of data. What do you dislike about Anaplan?

Anaplan's pricing can be confusing and opaque. This is due to an evolving platform, technology, and GTM model. Customers from just 3 years ago may have completely different expectations on pricing and that can cause friction. However, the GTM model had to change - the platform, which did not drastically change from 2014-2022, has received an incredible overhaul in terms of technical functionality, and old pricing models did no capture that at all. What problems is Anaplan solving and how is that benefiting you?

I will specifically answer this question regarding the territory and quota (T&Q) use case. T&Q represents a widespread, needed-everywhere planning problem but it doesn't have any of its own big software players. The reason is that Anaplan is so well-suited to the use case, that you'd waste your time trying to create a bespoke competitor. And Anaplan's offering is only strengthening.

T&Q has the hallmarks needs of planning: nuanced, many disparate data sets, very large data sets, operational and financial considerations, many distributed stakeholders, and consistent collaboration. Anaplan checks each of those boxes an we see it at our customers. Our customers tell us they love a prescriptive approach that they still can own (the new T&Q app comes out of the box), where they can merge what they love about their current process with the best-in-class they need. These streamlined T&Q apps help our customers create fairer territories with better account scoring, build better quotas to set the right incentives and reach the right attainment curve, and do it all significantly faster. What do you like best about G-Accon?

we implemented G-accon in our finance team this year. We use Xero as our accounting system, but have multiple ledgers and the standard reporting didn't meet our needs.

We had built reports in excel that required a TB export each month and was fairly manual. This process was cumbersome and could take hours if not days to finalise reports, particularly as some of our key month end data comes in towards the end of the cut off date for reporting.

With G-accon + Xero + Google sheets, our reports can be re-run if needed and will be updated within seconds. This gives our lean finance team, precious hours bck in the day to focus on supporting the management team.

Apliqo is built from its foundations with the end user experience in mind. It offers an intuitive interface, place on top of any type of business problem for planning and reporting.

It can integrate Excel input in the same front end, so end users can decide if they want to prepare data outside of the web-front end and load their results, or work directly in the tool. This combination allows users the freedom they need and desire to work in a way that suits them best.

What do you dislike about Apliqo?

We mainly use Apliqo (both UX and FPM) for internal reporting. We use it for our day-to-day timesheets, our (financial) month end close, dashboarding and reporting.

The operational model is tracking our projects on a day-to-day basis, provinding an overview of budgets-to-date, time spent (hours/days), expenses tracking. Our users are entering information on a daily basis.

For the financial closing we are currently utilising the P&L/Balance sheet reporting layer across our region, based on input from various countries, coming from different data sources (accounting systems).

I love that I can create my own real-time reports in Velixo, customizing to what I need vs. only using standard reports. Plus, the formula languages are easy to follow compared with SQL as an example especially when that is not your area of profession. Other areas that we haven't used yet in our business but plan to is the ability to post our journal entries through Velixo without the need to log into the Accounting System. There have been times that, due to the size of the reports, the queries do get stuck. If there is a way to not refresh multiple files that are open at the same time, I need to learn this, but that is primarily what happens shutting down my PC for a good 20 - 30 minutes at times for the files to refresh. We use Rillet to streamline and automate our revenue recognition workflows. We used to manually create journal entries to record our software subscription revenues. Rillet has a workflow to help with contract and invoice matching, as it syncs data from both Salesforce and Stripe. They also reconcile Stripe payouts automatically, which has been a time saver. Rillet also integrates with Rippling and Ramp, which automates journal entries for payroll and A/P. The Rillet team has been amazing and very communicative. What problems is Zoho Books solving and how is that benefiting you?

You can easily access user data in one place and modify billing address descriptions or add new customers. You can choose your preferred invoicing format, and file GST directly from the Zoho portal. What do you like best about Kosh.ai?

Prior to Kosh, we were manually reconciling finance transactions. Given our scale of operations, it was quite a tedious task. Using Kosh we have completely automated the reconciliation process but have also improved the other related workflows. The platform is quite configurable. What do you dislike about Kosh.ai?

What problems is Kosh.ai solving and how is that benefiting you?

Our company facilitates peer-to-peer lending and we are perhaps the largest in the country. So naturally we handle a large number of transactions on a daily, weekly and monthly basis. This leads to a lot of data being generated. To manage and reconcile this data, we are using Kosh. What do you like best about Campfire?

Switching to Campfire from Netsuite has been an absolute game-changer. As a CFO running a multi-currency, multi-legal entity operation, I’ve dealt with clunky, frustrating accounting software before. Campfire? A totally different story.

This platform is a dream—it’s intuitive, fast, and actually fun to use. I used to dread logging into my old system, but now? I look forward to it. Campfire helps us get more done with fewer headaches, and that’s everything in today’s “do-more-with-less” world.

Even better, Campfire is a new player in the space, and they’re already shaking things up. They’re releasing new features weekly (seriously, the pace is wild), and the product road map has me genuinely excited for what’s next. It’s clear they’re building this for the long haul, and I’m here for it.

Shoutout to Justin from customer success—this guy is a rockstar! His support is so good it makes other companies’ “white-glove service” look like amateur hour. Whether it’s the migration (they did everything for me!) , setup, or random questions, he’s been there every step of the way.

Consolidating and reporting multiple legal entities with numerous currencies was a headache, and expensive, in Netsuite. Campfire makes it easy and fun! Additionally, Campfire has a dashboard with KPIs that are relevant to my business that I can actually trust. This makes internal and external reporting much easier and less stressful. What do you like best about Abacum?

Abacum is a transformative tool for us as we scale out our organization. It was easy to use and started providing value within days of kicking off implementation. It is intuitive but also powerful, which can be a difficult line to walk. It is allowing us to democratize our financial data and empower internal planning. The Abacum team is responsive and customer-oriented, but my favorite thing about the tool is that they're often not required — it's user-friendly for even those of us not overtly trained in data management but rather focused on the business KPIs.
