“1.5 Years using FQ Close; Recently implemented FQ Compliance Module”
What do you like best about FloQast?

In 2023, we implemented FloQast to streamline our month-end close process. The checklist feature has been invaluable for ensuring organization and task completion, eliminating the manual oversight needed with our previous Excel-based approach. FloQast’s task assignment and automated reminders have lightened management’s workload, while its balance sheet reconciliation tool, which syncs with our ERP’s trial balance, has reduced errors and prevented potential audit issues by notifying preparers and reviewers of discrepancies.

Approximately a year after adopting FloQast for closing, we transitioned our SOX compliance system from AuditBoard to FloQast Compliance. Initially hesitant, we worked closely with the FloQast team, who refined the compliance tool based on our and our auditors’ feedback. After these enhancements, we received approval from our auditors to proceed with FloQast Compliance. Though still in the early stages of our first audit cycle, we’re pleased with its performance. While there’s a learning curve after 10 years with AuditBoard, FloQast Compliance has proven functional and reliable, with a responsive team that addresses enhancement requests effectively. What do you dislike about FloQast?

There are minor enhancement requests we have submitted for FloQast compliance: adding filters to some of the compliance screens; being able to link narratives and controls across different audit projects (corp controls vs IT controls, for example). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is FloQast solving and how is that benefiting you?

FloQast has introduced substantial efficiencies to our close process by providing real-time visibility into status updates, enhancing collaboration between our finance and accounting departments. The “watch” feature enables the finance team to monitor the accounting team’s progress, allowing them to initiate their tasks at the appropriate stage. In a remote work environment, this functionality has been particularly beneficial in helping our team stay aligned. What do you like best about Sage Intacct?

Sage Intacct's accounting software helps in end to end accounting process. I work in the accounts payable and it's features of creation of new vendor, extracting reports, processing bills - whether a single currency bill or multi-currency bill is easy to understand and once understood easy of use as well.

What do you dislike about Sage Intacct?

The different dimensions (Classes, Departments, vendors, Customer etc.) are split in different applications. If it can be merged into one single application - "Company", it would be more easy to use.

Workiva has a very intuitive financial reporting platform. I can easily make formatting changes and ensure my document is SEC compliant. Workiva also allows me to integrate data from various sources, automating data linking across reports, and improving accuracy.

Workiva also allows multiple users to work simultaneously on documents, ensuring real-time updates and reducing version control issues. I can easily track my work through easy to generate redlines.

What do you like best about LiveFlow?

It's impossible to overstate my admiration for LiveFlow, its executive leadership, and the entire team involved. Previously, we manually generated and dispatched weekly reports to our clients via QBO. LiveFlow, however, has significantly streamlined this process. We now compile all required reports into a single Google sheet and share the link with our clients, providing them with the freedom to access the data at their convenience. This functionality not only obviates the need for an entire task in our workflow but also keeps the report perpetually updated with live data either every hour or upon opening the Google sheet.

Furthermore, LiveFlow has conferred tangible financial benefits. It circumvented the need to invest in an additional application for commission calculations. By constructing a live report and incorporating the necessary calculations, I've created a monthly Commissions Report worksheet. Now, all the relevant data is just a click away, at my fingertips once a month.

LiveFlow is serving as an invaluable tool in our business operations, streamlining our reporting processes, saving costs, and enhancing our productivity. LiveFlow has eliminated the need for manually running weekly reports in QBO and emailing them to clients. Instead, I can compile all required reports into a Google sheet and share the link with our clients. This has saved time and effort, and also allows our clients to access these reports whenever they want. LiveFlow provides live data that updates every hour or whenever the Google sheet is opened. This ensures that you and your clients always have access to the most current data, improving decision-making and response times. LiveFlow has helped save money by negating the need for another application to manage commission calculations. By automating manual tasks and centralizing report access, LiveFlow has significantly boosted our productivity. This allows us to focus more on core business activities, improving overall business performance. Although I wish to have the ability to use QBO's custom reports within LiveFlow, the current pre-populated ones still provide you with necessary data and insights. The best part about NetSuite is the ease of use for new users across our organization. Being able to add new users and have them up and running within a few days is a huge time save for our business. Mosaic is user friendly and does not take a ton of training to get up and running with it. It serves all the standard FP&A functional needs with many out of the box metrics and dashboards that are awesome, especially for a SaaS company. Native support for allowing input/breakback and calculation logic in the same line item can be added to further boost platform adoption in Retail Planning use cases. What do you like best about Velixo?

Velixo is an Excel add-on. No more exporting, importing, and manipulating. I can pull in specific data into a specific cell or I can pull a range of data throughout the spreadsheet. I can build it dynamic and simply change an accounting period and everything updates. I can build a "template" focused upon a specific project and then distribute the template to my project managers who simply change the project number to the one they wish to focus on and the entire spreadsheet can update CURRENT data they way they want to see it. With Velixo NX, implimentation across our organization is so easy. Because I can make the spreadsheet template the way the project managers are used to and the way they want to see their data, integration was seemless. Project managers use it most at the end of the month for helping with their projections. As CFO, I use it almost every day and especially at month end and financial reporting. Because Velixo is so robust and their support features are so clear, I have yet to submit a request to customer support. This is a wonderful product that works exactly as presented. We also like the partner-based model, as that is what we have had for years with Dynamics SL. Overall, we do have significant complaints about Acumatica. I would say we would like to see more low-code/no-code workflow capabilities across the platform. We use Rillet to streamline and automate our revenue recognition workflows. We used to manually create journal entries to record our software subscription revenues. Rillet has a workflow to help with contract and invoice matching, as it syncs data from both Salesforce and Stripe. They also reconcile Stripe payouts automatically, which has been a time saver. Rillet also integrates with Rippling and Ramp, which automates journal entries for payroll and A/P. The Rillet team has been amazing and very communicative. Apliqo is built from its foundations with the end user experience in mind. It offers an intuitive interface, place on top of any type of business problem for planning and reporting.

It can integrate Excel input in the same front end, so end users can decide if they want to prepare data outside of the web-front end and load their results, or work directly in the tool. This combination allows users the freedom they need and desire to work in a way that suits them best.

What do you dislike about Apliqo?

It is a not a drag-and-drop tool for do it yourself dashboarding. But it is also not intended to be this. The target of Apliqo is rolling out applications to a group of end users that can get going without the need for extensive trainings. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Apliqo solving and how is that benefiting you?

We mainly use Apliqo (both UX and FPM) for internal reporting. We use it for our day-to-day timesheets, our (financial) month end close, dashboarding and reporting.

The operational model is tracking our projects on a day-to-day basis, provinding an overview of budgets-to-date, time spent (hours/days), expenses tracking. Our users are entering information on a daily basis.

For the financial closing we are currently utilising the P&L/Balance sheet reporting layer across our region, based on input from various countries, coming from different data sources (accounting systems).

What do you like best about Kosh.ai?

Prior to Kosh, we were manually reconciling finance transactions. Given our scale of operations, it was quite a tedious task. Using Kosh we have completely automated the reconciliation process but have also improved the other related workflows. The platform is quite configurable. What do you dislike about Kosh.ai?

What problems is Kosh.ai solving and how is that benefiting you?

Our company facilitates peer-to-peer lending and we are perhaps the largest in the country. So naturally we handle a large number of transactions on a daily, weekly and monthly basis. This leads to a lot of data being generated. To manage and reconcile this data, we are using Kosh. I have been using S/4HANA Cloud for a while in my current organisation. So, I can say that it is very easy to use and the number of features it provides exceeds in comparison with the on-premise.

There are very less things I could dislike about S/4HANA Cloud. I would say the Customer Support can be a little better in terms of responses.

What do you like best about Abacum?

Abacum is a transformative tool for us as we scale out our organization. It was easy to use and started providing value within days of kicking off implementation. It is intuitive but also powerful, which can be a difficult line to walk. It is allowing us to democratize our financial data and empower internal planning. The Abacum team is responsive and customer-oriented, but my favorite thing about the tool is that they're often not required — it's user-friendly for even those of us not overtly trained in data management but rather focused on the business KPIs.
