While Rippling is incredibly powerful, it can definitely be a "double-edged sword." Here are a few things that users often find frustrating or challenging:

1. The "All-in-One" Complexity

Because Rippling tries to do everything (Payroll, IT, Benefits, Device Management), the interface can feel cluttered and overwhelming.

Finding a specific setting for something simple, like a timecard adjustment, can sometimes feel like a scavenger hunt through too many menus.

2. Implementation "Growing Pains"

Setting Rippling up correctly is a massive project.

If the initial setup (the "logic" of your company) isn't perfect, it can cause cascading errors. For example, if a permission is set wrong at the top level, it might accidentally block Anto from seeing Bianka’s timecards, and fixing it requires digging through deep administrative layers. What do you like best about Connecteam?

I use Connecteam to schedule my team for my event planning business, and it makes it much easier for me to see who can work. It's seamless for my team to know when they are scheduled. I love the ability to keep shifts open for my team to bid on. With my event planning business, I can put the events in, indicate how many assistants I need, and it allows my team to look at the date and location of the event and bid on it if they're interested in working. What do you like best about Gusto?

I would say the password management function is probably the best feature. I have like 15 log ins and can never remember any of them. This thing helps me out big time. And unlike our previous system, it's very readable; ours looked like an Excel sheet from 1999. When you are paid, Gusto emails you with a funny GIF in your work email – that is the only work email I ever open. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Gusto?

Occasionally, the page takes too long to load. I swear my internet is dead. It just spins. I don’t like that I can’t view the exact date the money hits my bank account. It creates a lot of stress when rent is due. Also the support is simply a chatbot that emails me links to articles that I’ve already read which is very annoying as I just want to speak to someone. It makes it so I don’t have to send HR an email for every little thing which is great for both of us. I’m able to access my employee benefits and tax documents through it instead of digging through my cluttered download files and it also keeps all of the payroll related issues organized so I don’t have to spend time worrying if my hours were logged correctly. It also helps me check my attendance, monitor leaves, and see new changes in the organization and new joiner details. What do you like best about UKG Ready?

Our team is able to customize the different platforms to fit our company's needs. And the reporting is top notch. Our fiscal year begins on July 1st. In the past, we've always had to run 2 YTD reports and do a cut and paste job to come up with fiscal year data. I love being able to give the Accounting auditor and the 401k auditor login access each year - so that they can pull the data that they need directly from the system. And once the audit is completed, I can deactivate their access. I love that individuals who leave the organization can still have limited access to the system. They can still see their W2s, pay statements and other tax forms. That eliminates those phone calls and emails each January from individuals who no longer work with the organization. The Time & Attendance platform allowed us to finally get our PTO / Accrual process automated. We have also been able to implement a grant allocation process on the T&A platform as well. Two things that we've had to do manually in other systems. And we were finally able to get rid of a 15 tab Excel document by automating our payroll journal entry. That is something I would list 5 times on repeat. Every system we used in the past always promised that they could integrate with NetSuite (our company's Accounting software). UKG not only promised but they delivered. For once our Accounting Department has been happy with HRs selection of a HRIS. We also had a great implementation team. Love the Open Enrollment platform and the Applicant Tracking platform. We added the Learning module to our platform last month. We are currently reviewing Bryte and Document Manager. What do you dislike about UKG Ready?

Area of improvement: The EverythingBenefits area should really be evaluated. The EDI connection process could be easier. The Performance Review platform could be more intuitive. The workflow process required for this process is unreal. Not sure why the development team is not able to add commas to the dollar amounts on the Applicant Tracking platform. i love the simplicity of the system, automation and the creativity you can have with even just Bob core. I personally really enjoy the talent module and we are just about to explore the compensation and I enjoy how they all link together.

in all the ticket system is really useful in answering questions.

i am the most active user in the company so i heavily rely on hibob in my day to day role and find everything quick and simple to use.

implementation of the Compensation module has been really comprehensive and we are already getting great feedback on it.

What do you dislike about HiBob HRIS?

The only thing i strongly recommend to better improve automation/self service is to group the esigns. for example having esigns only available to admins and separate group of esigns available to employee/managers so they can trigger flows themselves to go down the approval flow without heavy admin. For example we would want employees to be able to trigger the confirmation of employment flow so they can self serve. This is really restrictive in terms of automation.

sometime implementation can be hard to understand we receive guides which have been powered by AI and recently one of our support tickets which was used in the response and took longer to resolve the problem.

I really like many of the tools and features that come with Bamboo. It’s especially helpful that I can see my whole team’s holiday calendars in one central place. I also really value the employee 121 feature, where I can even schedule meetings with my direct team members. BambooHR makes it easier for me to manage a large team by providing daily updates and notifications, such as who is out of the office today. I’m generally liking BambooHR a lot. If I were to suggest an improvement, it would be around the time log or clocking-in feature where team members need to record their daily work hours. It was very aesthetically pleasing as a platform. Employees were able to easily use it and all the features it had to offer. As the employer there were a lot of great reports we could pull. Viewing time cards was easy. Being able to have a community section to praise employees was very nice to have. Overall one of the nicer platforms. What do you dislike about Paylocity?

There were a lot of little things such as being able to pull multiple paychecks. The reps constantly changed and would reach out asking if you wanted to buy something or add something to your current product. PTO was a nightmare as far as setting up policies. Having a designated account manager is nice but it was often changed. Switching from Paylocity was not easy, there is not a lot Paylocity does to help with the transition. This is my #1 choice for PEOs. The platform is easy to use and navigate, organized and well laid out. From onboarding employees, setting up and enrolling in benefits, 401k, to making personnel changes to salary, titles, etc. this platform is the absolute best. I also love that employers still have control and the ability to make changes on their own as opposed to other PEO platforms. What do you like best about Forma?

What I like most about Forma is the flexibility it gives employees while still keeping administration straightforward. The platform lets us offer a broad range of wellness and lifestyle benefits without introducing unnecessary complexity, and the user experience makes it easy for employees to understand their options and actually engage with their benefits. From an admin perspective, the visibility into the program and the support we receive make it much easier to manage everything day to day and to advocate for employees when questions come up. What do you dislike about Forma?

One challenge I’ve experienced with Forma is the quick turnaround required for certain requests or changes. At times, this makes it difficult to fully evaluate the potential impacts or coordinate internally before implementation. While I do appreciate the team’s responsiveness, having a bit more lead time in some situations. It would help administrators better support employees and ensure a smoother overall execution. What do you like best about HR4?

HR4 streamlines so may processes and elimates paper trail. From the perspective of the end user, it is user friendly and easy to navigate. On the back end, it is intiuitive and there are many resources available to assist managers. Implentation and training was smooth, and ongoing support which is critical because there is so much to the platform is easily accessible. I very much appreciated that the HR4 implementation team trained our entire employee population, not just the managers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about HR4?

After more than a year working with HR4 (so the honeymoon phase is over), we have no regrets. While there is nothing we dislike about HR4, I can say that the desktop application is preferred by many of our employees over the mobile app. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is HR4 solving and how is that benefiting you?

We have been able to eliminate many of our traditional spreadsheets and processes. HR4 will allow us to be more efficient and will serve as an excellent communication tool. Employees love that they can submit time off requests directly through HR4 and that they can see for themselves their entitlement to things like sick days, vacation etc.

The reports and analytics app is amazing for reports that would have had to be "built" manually in the past, and I love that it integrates with our Payroll system which is a significant time saver for me. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Kota?

We discovered Kota after we had already begun renewing our private medical scheme benefits with our previous broker.

Kota not only provided a more affordable quote than our previous industry-leading broker but also enrolled us with Vitality, which was an improvement over our previous scheme with another insurer. As a result, more employees have joined our scheme since we switched to Kota.

The most significant improvement for us has been the customer support since the transition. Kota managed to transition us between insurers within a week and were very hands-on throughout the entire process. They have remained responsive now that we’re up and running, and we actually have a dedicated contact person for any discussions. It's so nice! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Kota?

We don't have any specific dislikes, but there are a few enhancements we would love to see:

1. Consolidation of Benefits: It would be fantastic if Kota could increase the range of benefits offered. It would be great if we could offer some additional benefits without having to find a different provider, such as cash plan medical, cycle to work, staff discounts, etc.

2. Global Office Management: We have offices in several countries, including Canada, the US, Malaysia, Australia, Mexico, and the UAE. It would be great if we could manage these international offices through Kota as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Kota solving and how is that benefiting you?

We've integrated the Kota platform with our HR system, making enrolment a breeze. Now, we can easily see who is and isn't enrolled in one place.

Monthly invoicing helps manage our cash flow, and we can download member lists and invoices directly from the portal.

We're currently setting up our benefits on the Kota app and are excited to launch this to our staff. This will be our first opportunity to showcase our benefits in a comprehensive way. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I love the diversity of stipends available , from charitable giving to my cell phone and gym memberships, the reimbursements provide me with something to work towards every other month. Compt solves many issues, for example often offices prefer to have a shared gym membership for the entire office, while instead Compt saves the company money in comparison while catering the each users personal needs.
