In the latest years, AutoCAD incoperated advance levels of automation,file manipulation and data management,this has made the use of the software for managing large projects and performing repetitive task more easy. I can easily add fresh/waste water supply layouts to building plans, without fear of inconsitency ,missing refrences, file acess & control etc. With AutoCAD 3D (solid,surface and mesh), i can easily generate freehand 3D concepts which i would develop later on a sister software. - Be cautious when saving files and working across different Revit versions, as files cannot be saved in older formats.

- The interface can feel overwhelming at times, which may be a challenge for new users.

- Certain tools behave differently from the main tools, so it’s essential to keep that in mind.

Literally working on projects while building them as you draw—it saves time and allows you to export to almost anything for any purpose. It’s flexible, reliable, and becomes easier to use over time. SketchUp solves several key problems in the design process, particularly in visualization and communication. The only thing i noticed that its different is when you open a new archive from the windows explorer he opens a new instance of the software, instead of just opening a new tab. Still no possibility to place small labels, logos or simple textures on partial surfaces within an assembly (such as stickers in Solidworks). While Revizto’s feature set is impressive, handling large models can lead to some lag, especially when using VR mode. Nothing springs to mind as I write this review and in my world if something isn't right or likable then ask questions and usually there will be a work around so something which may seem to be a negative should really be treated as a learning experience and look for ways through the issue. We have a large team over here and with ARES we have good collaborative features like Commenting on the drawing, picture note and Version history. Which really helped us to cut down our overall project completion time.

Assemblies are a bit difficult to do, its way different than in other software, but once you find the right tool you can do it as easy as in other CAD/CAM software Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I use it for the FIRST Robotics Competition with my students, the best thing that we have is that every part is saved on the cloud, so I can perfectly work in different computers and different locations without having to carry one with me, also it saves a lot of trouble we had before as we experienced compatibility issues with other software Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

You need to master how planes work, if you intend to asemble your parts and components easily, simulating real world relationship between the parts via the asssembly enviroment.

You need to fully understand assembly modeling especially if you are working on a large project with over a thousand part. etc

The ilogic feature in inventor basically hands me the power to automate my design, create variations and initaite design configurationns in a controlled manner. This leads to my ability to meet clients need in the shortest possible time.

Adopting Inventor for my product design workflow makes the entire experince smooth. I am giving the ability to implement and insert fastners, mechanical weldments, belt and chain drives, mechanical frames an others, through calculated, and analysis-based processes,thus making informed design decisions.

Basically, an ADMS console is required to set up a server, then an Autodesk vault client is set up for authoring of design data into the sever, via dedicated file structures. All i did was to link Inventor to my Autodesk vault, then all my designs from inventor was easily checked in and out of the vault, ensuring proper design documentation , control, and secuirty, to mention a few. The symbol library is missing some symbols. Since i am from australia, some symbols might be different and i will need to draw my own symbols. The line snaps are also hard to use sometimes, the lines would snap to something else instead of the one i wanted to, and it is very hard to adjust. It's parametric block design compared to AutoCAD's dynamic blocks. I HATE how the visibility states can be outside of the block so that when you explode a block that has visibilities will then be put into the dwg outside of the block. This causes crazy lag if you need to explode multiple blocks. This requires you to use the DEPARAMETRIZE command before you explode, but this also removes the imported fields inside the blocks. Not ideal. I also do not like how when you copy and paste an entity inside of a block that is tied to a visibility, it copies and pastes that visibility again. (Because you can have more than one visibility inside of a block... cool idea, but now I see why AutoCAD doesn't allow it) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The price of AutoCAD is crazy high, so we went to BricsCAD which as a daily user (excluding parametric block creation), is the same. So, it saves us buckets of cash year after year. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Like anything great, it has a few downsides. the high cost is a concern for some, and it has limited features for certain analtses. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Unfortunately Shapr3D have resorted to shady, scummy business practices in an attempt to overcharge and borderline scam customers. Their extremely confusing UI for adding more seats to your subscription leads you to add more than you actually wanted. Then when you try to remove an erroneously added seat, you can't. You must email support. Then when you email support they will claim and gaslight you by saying that you can remove seats by following the documentation. Only the documentation they send you doesn't contain anything about removing seats, because you can't. So they are trying all the usual tricks around playing dumb and time wasting in the hope that you will just give up and keep paying for seats you don't need. It's disgusting and taints an otherwise great product.

If I can add seats to my plan through the website. I should be able to remove seats on the website. If you can't keep ahold of customers without these disgusting business practices, you never deserved the customers in the first place.

Software wise, it can quite easily be overwhelmed performance and optimisation wise. Using the pattern tool to create a grid of hexagons for example, trying to move them around even with a top spec PC is challenging. I get the occaisional crash. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It is just a very intuitive piece of software that has made modelling products and tools faster and easier than ever Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

There is few negatives but once we create a NWD file it becomes hard to delete unwanted models, for example itf we updated a model we need to create a new NWD file with all the old models plus the model that was updated the latest, and it can add up unneccessary time wasted on one file that could updated by 2 clicks instead of going through the whole process of intergrating models that most of time are very large files that needs time to be imported. It helps communicate between different softwares, creating a whole model with different disciplines getting a model ready to be delivered to be employed with no errors as all the rapports from Naivs works helps professionals create plans to prevent the problems found.
